DominiqueRens: Black's are actually greedy, selfish, wicked, diabolic and always look up to the whites for virtually everything they need to survive, ranging from education to medicine, infrastructure, weapons, entertainment, in fact everything
Of the seven continent in the world, Africa which is predominantly filled with blacks is the most backward both in terms of development, infrastructure, science and technology, education, standard of living and even climate changes. Africans are mainly known for been barbaric, greedy and always hating themselves. African leaders are synonymous with greed, corruption, nepotism and violation of human rights and crass abuse of power. They oppress their citizens and invest their countries resources in foreign countries rather than developing their own countries.
Even in Africa, black Africa is the least developed, with countries like, Egypt, Morocco, Algeria even south Africa which have some white citizens leading in terms of development, civilization and even economically.
The big question is, what is actually wrong with the black skin?
How come no black country has ever won the Fifa world cup, how come no black man has ever invented anything, how come no black man has ever made the top 20 richest men in the world, how come all black African countries are third world countries and are still developing countries, how come a black man always feels inferior to a white man, how come no black nation on earth is among the world super powers? How come blacks were once sold as slaves. Are blacks actually second class citizens on planet earth. ...
Is black skin actually a curse? The black race will continue to serve the whites till the end of time. We just need to know we must change |

Politics › Nigeria Visa Firm Owned By Man On Fraud Charges - BBC by tunene66(op): 2:56pm On Apr 08, 2020*. Modified: 3:13pm On Apr 08, 2020 |
The owner of the Nigerian government-appointed company which produces visas for people wishing to travel to Nigeria from around the world is facing charges of fraud and money laundering in Nigeria in relation to a different company, the BBC has learnt in a joint investigation with the Premium Times. There is no suggestion of wrongdoing by the visa-processing company and the allegations have no relation to the management of the visa business. Mahmood Ahmadu, together with his former company Drexel Tech, was charged by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), on two counts of fraud and three counts of money laundering. Three others, including former Interior Minister Abba Moro, face charges of fraud and breach of public procurement laws. All those charged, including Mr Moro and Mr Ahmadu, deny any wrongdoing. Mr Ahmadu has been highly regarded in Nigeria and was given the Order Of The Niger, a prestigious national award, by President Goodluck Jonathan in 2014 https://www.bbc.com/news/world-africa-51949595 |

Seun: It looks as if the reign of the dreaded Coronavirus is nearing its end as countries are beginning to realize that the WHO’s guidance against wearing face-masks is comically, tragically, obviously, and totally wrong.
For example: https://www.latimes.com/science/story/2020-04-03/cdc-recommends-wearing-face-masks-during-coronavirus-pandemic
PS: Here in Nigeria, Cross River and Abia states have decided to allow people to come out of their homes if they have face-masks on. The Government of Abia State even charged tailors to sew 3 million face-masks because imported face-masks are scarce right now.
We are waiting for the federal government to implement this policy nationally so that we can shut down the Coronavirus instead of shutting down our economy. Let's get the context right The question is does wearing a face mask prevent the one wearing it from being infected from Convid-19 ? The answer is NO The issue is the one wearing the mask can prevent the virus from spreading by wearing the face mask. Since there are large numbers of those infected who are asymptotic (not showing any symptoms), then it is advisable for all to put the mask on in public |

Politics › 2.6m poor Nigerians to benefit from FG’s cash transfer intervention by tunene66(op): 5:37pm On Apr 02, 2020 |
The minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Disaster Management, Sadiya Umar Farouq has said 2.6m vulnerable persons are currently to benefit from the Federal government cash transfer intervention programme. Also, over 11m households have been identified in 35 states to benefit from the palliative measure.
Fielding questions from newsmen at the presidential task force media briefing on Thursday, the minister said 6 vulnerable persons are identified in each household.
Out of the 2.6 million, Farouq said the FCT has 5,982 households, in Nasarawa, 8,271; Katsina, 6,732; and Anambra state has 1,367 households respectively.
She further said the ministry is working seriously to cover additonal 1m households subsequently.
Insisting that there was no favoritism in the palliative support, Farouq stressed that the ministry capture the vulnerable persons by community engagement.
This, she revealed that the ministry usually meet with the community leaders who decide those who are most vulnerable in the areas.
“The SIP has been on since 2016 and the social national register that we have as at March 31, 2020 is made up of 11,450,537 poor and vulnerable people in 35 states and 453 Local Government Areas across the country.
“Now, currently the beneficiaries that we give this cash transfer to are 2.6million people.
“In FCT, we have 5,982 households, in Nasarawa, we have 8,271 households, Katsina has 6,732 households, and Anambra has 1,367 households. And by general standard, households composition is 6 persons.
“We are thinking of expanding the register, we are in touch with the UN social protection donor group to see how the register can be rapidly expanded to cover additional 1million households. But we have 11.4 million households in the register that are ready for this intervention.
“The way the people are captured is by community engagement. We go in and reach the community, opinion leaders, religious leaders who are the ones that decide which families fall within that category of poor and vulnerable households. And that is what we use, so there is really accountability and transparency in this regard,” Farouq stated. Politics › Re: Has Buhari/FG Actually Mishandled COVID-19 Pandemic? by tunene66: 3:42pm On Apr 01, 2020 |
PassingShot: I have read a lot of wailing and criticism about the FG’s handling of the coronavirus pandemic since it arrived in Nigeria on Feb 25th. The most recent was reactions to a thread comparing Nigeria’s handling of the crisis to that of UK. Expectedly but sadly, a lot of ignorant commenters were dancing albeit nakedly based on the newspaper’s report which didn’t even say that the UK is handling the pandemic better than Nigeria. javascript:void(0); If any unbiased person wants to make any comparison about govts handling of the pandemic, their objective analysis will include parameters such as each govt’s efforts before COVID arrived at their shores (very important), each govt’s immediate response as soon as COVID arrived in their country, number of infected persons (confirmed) and lastly and most importantly, the number of deaths recorded as a result of the pandemic. But since many Nigerians have allowed their common sense to be affected by prejudice and hatred, they have abandoned these relevant parameters in making evaluating the govt’s response to the crisis. Now let’s quickly look at the following facts:
1. Measures taken by the Nigerian Govt before a COVID case was discovered in Nigeria: Long before the pandemic found its way into Nigeria, the FG embarked on monitoring body temperature of people flying into the country to be able to discover who may have showed any signs of the disease. By this time and despite that the disease was at their shores, USA, UK, Iran and many other “saner clime” countries were not even taking this measure. Dr. joe Abah did a thread on it and the World Health Organization commended Nigeria for this measure and going as far as using Nigeria as an example of how countries should respond to the pandemic. Read https://twitter.com/drjoeabah/status/1233989553008119809?lang=en for Dr. Joe’s Twitter thread and https://guardian.ng/news/coronavirus-who-commends-fgs-effort-on-response/ for WHO’s commendation.
2. Number of cases recorded in Nigeria versus that of UK or any other “saner country”: As at the time of writing this article (01/04/2010 @12 noon Naija time), the UK has 25,150 confirmed cases and 1,789 deaths; the USA has 188,639 cases and 4,059 deaths; Iran has 47,593 cases and 3,036 deaths, Italy has 105,792 cases and 12,428 deaths while many other “saner countries” have similar gloomy numbers to show for their efforts. Nigeria on the other hand has recorded 139 cases and 2 deaths. I expect some readers to jump on the fact that Nigeria is not testing as much as the mentioned countries, but the fact remains that while that may be responsible for the low number of confirmed cases, it couldn’t have been responsible for low number of deaths. Not carrying out enough testing would not have prevented people from being struck down by the disease or people dying as a result of it.
3. Another indication that Nigeria’s govt is doing her best in containing the spread of the virus can be seen when one compares the time the country’s first case was discovered to when those of the “saner countries” were discovered and juxtapose with the number of confirmed cases and deaths. Italy had her first case around January 31st, 2020 (two months ago), Spain had its first on Feb. 1st and Italy had it on Feb 21st which was only four days earlier than when Nigeria had hers on Feb 25th. Compare the number of deaths/confirmed cases of these countries and see if you have not been unreasonable in your criticism of the government.
The problem with wailers and destructive critics is that they always shift the goalposts. As such, you can never have any reasonable conversation with them. When the first case was reported in Nigeria, lead by their frustrated Wailer-in-Chief, they said it was a scam to be used to loot money. And when few more cases were confirmed some days after, they turned back to say the govt should have closed the bother long ago! Such is their pathetic life!
Ask them which country Nigeria should have emulated in containing the disease, those of them who still have a bit of sense will stutter because they would not dare say USA, UK, Italy or Germany but the chronic wailers who have obviously lost it all will still compare how Nigeria is managing the spread of the disease to the same UK which has lost almost two thousands of her people to the disease.
Does Nigeria have the facilities or the means to combat the COVID19 pandemic? The answer is a resounding NO. Does the country have a robust health system compared to those “saner countries”? Again, the answer is an emphatic No? Do we have enough money to deploy to tackle any outbreak in the size of that witnessed in UK, Italy, USA or Germany? The answer is an obvious NO. But the fact is that the state of our health system or the size of our purse wasn’t brought about by the current government but a result of many years of failure. So, why wailing uncontrollably instead of supporting the govt’s efforts at preventing the spread of the disease?
Had it been Buhari who reacted the way Trump and Boris Johnson first reacted to the COVID19 outbreak – by dismissing it and making all sorts of joke of it, or just like Seyi Makinde (your “presidential material”) who called it an APC disease, perhaps you would have possibly reacted in such a bad manner. There should be a limit to wailing!
Have a nice day. In comparing the way countries or nations reacted to this Coronavirus pandemic a lot needs to be considered. 1. It is glaring from empirical evidence that countries in cool to cold climates are more susceptible to the virus than those in warm and temperate countries 2. The virus was spread more through gatherings of people, who either initially travelled from China or were in contact with those who travelled from the emerging endemic area. So while China was the primary area, due to high flight connections between Europe/US and China when compared with Africa for instance, Europe/US became the next epicentre of the crisis 3. Most of the fatalities are people who are old and who had pre existing medical conditions. Again, considering that the ratio of old people to the population of Europe/US is higher than in places like Africa, then you will expect that fatalities in those area irrespective of their Govt response will be higher than in places like Nigeria So appreciation goes to NCDC, LASG, OGSG, FG and all our health workers at all levels I believe we should learn a lot from this crisis as it concerns the state of our health facilities and the structure of our economy. GOD bless us all. |

President Muhammadu Buhari, on Sunday in his nationwide broadcast, imposed a total lockdown restricting movements in Lagos, Ogun and Abuja.
Addressing Nigerians, the President said: “based on the advice of the Federal Ministry of Health and the NCDC, I am directing the cessation of all movements in Lagos and the FCT for an initial period of 14 days with effect from 11pm on Monday, 30th March 2020.
“This restriction will also apply to Ogun State due to its close proximity to Lagos and the high traffic between the two States.”
In a jointly issued statement Monday by the Minister of Finance, Budget and National Planning and CBN governor, entitled: ‘ Notice to affected stakeholders and general public regarding COVID-19 and restrictions in movement of persons”, they applauded and appreciated the appropriate and proactive restrictions in personal and vehicular movement imposed by President Muhammadu Buhari in his speech of Sunday 29 March 2020.
However, the minister and CBN governor noted: ” To ensure that Nigerians can still perform online transactions and use ATMs whilst observing these restrictions, we will like to inform the general public and all affected stakeholders that we have obtained exemptions from the President to allow very skeletal operations in the Financial System and Money Markets in order to keep the system in light operations during this time”.
