Defections won the presidency for buhari in 2015 same will oust in next year. The defectors are the kingmakers.

I repeat buhari may get insignificant improvement in the SS/SE but, he will lose significant ground in the north. First he will lose the north central, the harvest in NE will include wining adamawa and gombe in addition to Taraba.
NW kano will be shakened just wait and see kwankwaso's entry. Kaduna is already a toss up, jigawa too is up for grabs. Let buhari remain with his katsina,zamfara and kebbi.

The governor will be confident enough to disregard him as a paper weight politician and he might still lose if he tries to contest with another political party going by the results of other local governments.

I am a northerner a moslem and verse with northern affairs. The conservative moslem north see buhari like a prophet. But the north Is not monolithic. Buhari's comfort zone is NW and by slight extension NE. The NC has never real been pro buhari till 2015.

Buhari has lost the NC like he always did prior to last election. He will be matched in the NE. NW his margin will drop noticeably.

Mind you, he got 7m of his 15m from NW with kano,katsina and kaduna providing about 4.5m of those.
HE basically 2m+ in each of NE,NC and Sw. 2019 e go do una like. Magic cos you guys ain't probing the figures but make blanket statements!

I am abuja based and I can tell you for free buhari will be defeated in abuja.

To win the presidency, 4/6 zones is a done deal but, 2019 will come with new realities of 3:3. The margins matter and buhari Will suffer more. Even when he won 4/6 the margin of victory was 2m+ . Just a 1.3m switch in electoral fortune and buhari is in trouble.. as it stands he has lost more than 3m swing Voters of 2015.

You don't know anything about middlebelt. Buhari has never won Abuja,Nassarawa and plateau. He won kwara,kogi and benue only in 2015 after 3 attempts. Niger is the only state he always won since 2003.

The All Progressives Congress has won with wide margins, all the three senatorial seats in Katsina State at Saturday’s National Assembly elections.
In Katsina Central, the Returning Officer, Aminu Dalhatu, said the APC candidate, Umar Ibrahim, polled 375,360 votes to defeat Lamis Dikko of the Peoples Democratic Party, who got 77, 323 votes.
In Katsina North, the returning officer, Rashid Hamid, declared that the APC candidate, Mustapha Bukar, scored 308,041 votes to emerge winner.
Mr. Bukar defeated PDP candidate and Speaker of Katsina State House of Assembly, Ya’u Gwajo-gwajo, who secured 102,892 votes.
In Katsina South, the returning officer, Hamza Mani said the APC candidate, who is currently the Senate Minority Whip, Abu Ibrahim, polled 409, 642 votes to emerge victorious.
He defeated the state Deputy Governor, Abdullahi Faskari of PDP, who scored 100,364 votes.

I don't know much about politicks in Benue and Plateau. But all the other states in the Middle Belt will go to Buhaei in 2019 and that includes Kwara state. APC will definitely lose the Governorship post in Kogi and Benue (Benue is under probability becuase Abba Moro has plans to contest against Ortom). Buhari will get at least 25% votes in Rivers, Akwa Ibom, Imo and at least 70% of total votes in Edo state. In all the states in the South West, North East and North West, he will get at least 80% of total votes in each state. The truth is 2019 Presidential Election will not be contested. It is certain that if Buhari is alive and healthy, he will be re-elected. I don't have a problem with that. But why would politicians like Kwankwanso, Tambuwal and Saraki choose to end their political careers like this? They are fully aware of Buhari's popularity in the South West and the whole NORTH, so why would they want to unseat him? Why would a politician who is known to be 'smart' (according to his followers) choose to fight an opponent they cannot defeat?
