texazzpete: Let's not forget that the same Gov Umahi gave out N500m of state funds out to Christian leaders in the state to 'empower the word of God'.
Is that what he was elected to do? Does he know how many people's salary that money could have covered?
Let him stop this waste and see if he cannot pay salaries. How many and for how many months? Salaries is a recurrent expenditure and all the rants by many don't address the deep issues of salaries. The states are at present largely going to be unable to pay. |

Emceesaka: Very funny my brother. Am a federal Government worker but when I see how dis state workers been treated, I felt a lot pity for them. And I think the best measure to end dis state workers salary issue is that Federal Government should come to their rescue because d Governors are not going to pay them dis #30,000 minimum wage I feel you but, govt is not all about paying salaries. The workers are less than 5% of labour force what then happens to societal and social goods? |
Politics › Re: “95 Per Cent Of States Can’t Pay N30,000 Minimum Wage” - Ebonyi Gov by tuniski: 9:21am On Apr 21, 2019 |
Emceesaka: My advice to the Federal Government is that the part section budget that is meant for State workers salary should not be giving to the state government directly rather the Federal Government should pay state workers salary directly to them and releaße the remaining balance of Federal allocation to the state government. Then there will be nothing left! |

Naijaguy123: They can’t pay 30,000 naira but they can pay senators and rep 2 billion naira per annum. That is just a drop. Even if the senators are paid zero naira, the states won't still be able to pay 30k minimum salaries cos of many undercurrents ranging from over bloated work force, lean revenue, competiting sectoral needs, financial liabilities obligations, poor productivity of the workers, corruption and a lot more. |

debaj10: u can be competent in ur job AND still give bribes. is means u lack integrity, despite ur competence. if u have integrity, u will insist on competence in all u do by: - either doing a competent job or; - delegating it to competent people whom u supervise properly or; - turning down d job because u lack d means to do it.
lastly, integrity is a personal quality that reflects in EVERY aspect of ur life. competence is a function of ur training/skill sets; u can still be an unscrupulous person.
see the difference?
…
modified: and to ur analogy- an impotent man who has lascivious thoughts is still indisciplined, even though he appears in control. this is one reason why appearances are usually deceptive. We are essentially saying the same thing. |

Ejimagifty: I do not agree with Gani Adams on this. Even America, UK and other developed countries has homeless and hungry people let alone a Nigeria that was battered by 16 years misrule of PDP chop i chop politics. No wonder a shameless actress was tweeting about the lack of free money in circulation as against the status quo they're used to under the thieving PDP regime. When dasuki was disbursing money like ATM machine, when dieziani the frog eyed thief was embezzling billions Nigerians were not hungry. Now that we have a sane and prudent government whose single treasury account remittance has blocked majority of loopholes for yafun yafun money, Nigerians are suddenly hungry. The several rail projects scattered across the country is a testament to the fact that funds are been expended on infrastructure but under PDP regime a certain corrupt presidential spokesman Okupe was seen in a viral video deceiving Nigerians that the country cannot afford to build rails because we are not rich like America. Nigerians indeed dodged a bullet by voting against the PDP whose presidential manifesto was about enriching their friends and selling national assets to their cronies. How long will we continue playing belly politics? How does stomach infrastructure politics bring development? Is a serious nation built on eating food all day? Even the Bible says Man shall not live by bread alone ( Matthew 4:4).
Only a blind and ungrateful person will not commend this hard working president Buhari. May God keep him beyond 2023. Amen Once you go 16yrs lame talk about pdp, the entire submission loses value! |
