PoliticsRe: Tinubu Has No Regrets Pushing Fashola For Lagos Governorship by Tunjman(m): 2:15pm On Apr 19, 2013
Goddex: Which performance? And Lagos is still rated the third worst city to live in the world?
Many PDP controlled states have public water supply 24hrs. In Lagos, Mai-Ruwa and Pure
Water and shallow wells/boreholes are all that we have. What performance are you talking
about if not media propaganda?

Have you ever asked yourself how Tinubu became a billionaire? It is Lagos state/South West money.
Unlike Otedola, Dangote, Adenuga etc tinubu was never a business man. He is a billionaire
with money stolen from government coffers.

Papa Fasehun reminded them that Pa Awo rendered selfless service to South West without turning
himself to a millionaire. Why are all of them becoming instant billionaires? They are stealing

Who says Awolowo wasn't a millionaire during his time? He was stupendously wealthy, infact report had it that there is no company at Oba Akran in Ikeja, Lagos where he does not have at least five percent equity, Dideolu Court in Ogba alone cannot be valued at less than N10 Billion, that was the place he had in mind to be his Seat of Power if he was elected as Nigeria's President...He owne Shonibare Estate but, the man he was using as a front and who later went to priso over some issues which Awolowo himself was privy to eventually laid claim to the estate.

He got all of these wealth due to a great measure of goodwill and tax waivers he gave to investors whenever they come to establish their business...Anytime you buy a bottle of Coca-Cola, you're enriching the Awolowo dynasty.

our money in droves while at the same time bombarding us with media propaganda of performance.

Music/RadioRe: Sunny Ade Vs Ebenezer Obey: Who Do You Prefer? by Tunjman(m): 1:27pm On Apr 12, 2013
Ebenezer Obey all the way! Despite his retirement from stage/secular music, die-hard fans of his still invite him to perform at their events.Today's artistes (both indigenous and hip-hop) adapt his hit songs and make good music out of them. Tuface and ARA recently gave the popular track 'Baby mi jowo' a nice RnB touch and the lyrics induced a feeling of nostalgia in us, Tony tetuila's 'oyinbo repete' is also one of such evergreen songs of CCEO...Many churches sing 'Jesu Olore' today and it was this same maestro who sang it as his first post secular-music single. No KSA Album can sell as much as Obey's 'the man and the horse' album. KSA might have more international recognition but, his music isn't as classic as Obey's...Obey had 'situaion' tracks that can go with the happenings in contemporary Nigeria, one of which is ***t'aba f'owo otun b'omo wi...**. Is it feel good music you want to talk about or cool lyrics of the days when morals were held in high esteem? Ancestral panegyrics of different ethnic group that makes up the yoruba tribe are perfectly sang by chief commander ebenezer obey...He is just one of the few living music legends we have in this part of the world!

PoliticsRe: APC Is A Threat To Democracy – Obanikoro by Tunjman(m): 11:36am On Apr 08, 2013
What you have said about these actors is not peculiar to them. An average politician in Nigeria likes to perch where it is happening.

(Cuts in). I am not one of them. I agree with you, there are so many of them. We are equally experiencing the same thing in PDP. These are people we call merry-weather politicians. There are bunches of them all over the place. But what I am trying to say here is that PDP is a far better arrangement than this new APC. It is under the PDP that oppositions have won elections. In the recent local government election in Kaduna State, we lost even the vice president’s local government. Yet, we did not alter or change the result. PDP as a party has not gone out of its way to corrupt the judiciary like ACN has done. You can imagine what a set of people who have deliberately corrupted judiciary, the hope of the common man, can do when they get to power at the centre. It will become a cash-and-carry transaction government. The judiciary will die a sudden death. In my wildest imagination, I cannot imagine that people can go to the length they went in Salami saga. In fact, I see these people as a threat to democracy and the rule of law in this country. Look at Lagos State for instance, our Internally Generated Revenue has been pocketed. They are sand filling everywhere recklessly. In the past, when there was sand filling of any particular area, they used to advertise it for the good of the common man. What they are doing is creating a private scheme which they themselves alone and their cronies can benefit from. All the demolition they have done in Ebute Meta and Badiya is for their selfish end. They did it without any compensation to the affected people. For you to displace a settlement of over 100 years, you must provide an alternative. Badiya has been there since I was born. I met it there and I am over fifty years now. To me, that demolition is a serious matter but nobody is taking them up. That shows you the level to which the society has degenerated. People who are supposed to speak out have been compromised. And that is the more reason why these people cannot be trusted and must never be trusted by Nigerians. If you see the recklessness and arrogance with which they are going about governance in the Southwest, you will know that these are not people you can be trusted with power.

And what are you Obanikoro? a prostitute politician? was it not when your ambition failed in AC you defected to PDP? Did i hear you say ACN buys the judiciary in the south-west? what about those LCDA seats your party recovered through tribunal in 'gidi? abeg park well Mr. loser, despite your popularity and your party's do or die politics in 2003, Fashola whom nobody knew defeated you and shamed 'tewonde' Bode George who anointed you. You are not in anyway better than the tinubu you're condemning because, you can't survive outside politics. Your political godfather knew this and helped you lobby for an ambassadorial appointment at least to see remnants of the 'real money' your party stalwarts share among themselves. How relevant are you in the PDP you're defending? I hope your Ogas at the top don't rely on you to unseat APC/ACN in 'gidi because, they won't be able to stand your failure in 2015.

Kanu Nwankwo was given the captain badge in Atlanta 96 because, he's the leader of the dream team...all the senior players you mentioned were just there as motivation to the younger players. Having said that, captain badge should/is given out to player with charisma (one who can control fellow team mates on and off the pitch), a long serving player with good track records, one who can mediate between the team and management with unparalleled diplomacy.
PoliticsRe: Prof Chinua Achebe Is Dead! by Tunjman(m): 1:17pm On Mar 22, 2013
Our nationalists tried to build an enviable nation, one that would have a flourishing economy and a perfect political landscape. Of course, their efforts yielded good result, they laid down a platform for true federalism until self-centered and political jobbers started making THINGS FALL APART…When state creation started, regional development gave way to state development and states with less resources were NO LONGER AT EASE…Our common wealth was used to build a state- of –the- art presidential villa at Abuja where they thought would be free from external aggression and attack from hungry Nigerians forgetting that ARROW OF GOD is stronger than all nuclear weapons put together…They detached themselves totally from the people they govern, none of them cared to be A MAN OF THE PEOPLE…Good leadership became scarce like ANTHILLS OF THE SAVANNAH...I’m afraid, if today’s youths don’t question the status quo, the only tale they would tell generation unborn is THERE WAS A COUNTRY.

Bros, i responded to your comment accordingly...call those that made up the merger any name, they are the 'progressives' (at least we can see the track records of the fore-runners of the party). If you like call them any name, non of them is my benefactor. Come to think of it, what is people like you doing? Why don't you get like minds, register a political party and see how far you can go without involving a number of these so-called rogues (ida ahun la fi'n pa ahun: meaning; we kill a miser with his own sword) . In essence, you have to make the door of your party open to all those who can enable you achieve your goals. I still maintain that 'politics is a game of number and requires strategy'.
PoliticsRe: Bakare Speaks On APC Merger Party by Tunjman(m): 3:11pm On Mar 20, 2013
karl max: then why pretend to be better than the people in pdp when most of this same progressive where part and parcel of this same PDP AND THE VARIOUS PAST FAILED GOVERNMENT.IF NOT FOR GREED AND SELF INTEREST wHAT wOULD A TINUBU wHO wAS A NEDECO MEMBER DOING IN THE SAME PARTY wITH PRINCE TONY MOMOH THE SPOKES MAN OF THE IBB JUNTA THAT ANNULLED JUNE 12 ELECTION OR TOM IKIMI AND BUHARI wHO wERE IN ABACHAS GOVERNMENT THAT HUNTED HIM AND OTHER NEDECO MEMBERS DURING THE DAYS OF THE REGIME,IF NOT FOR GREED AND SELF INTEREST wHY wOULD AN EL RUFAI BE LICKING THE AZZ OF BUHARI "A MAN HE SAID wAS UN-ELECTABLE". SO U KNOw THAT A NIGERIAN POLITICIANS DOESNT KEEP 100% CLEAN RECORD, BUT YOUR ONE OF THOSE CRITICIZING AND CALLING PDP ALL SORTS OF NAME DUE TO wHAT YOUR SO CALLED PROGRESSIVE DID IN OFFICE wHEN THEY wERE IN PDP AS GOVERNORS FOR 8 YEARS AND IN THE CASE OF AUDU OGBEH A ONE TIME CHAIRMAN OF THE PARTY.ALOT OF NIGERIANS HATE PDP TODAY COS OF wHAT THIS SAME EX PDP MEN wHO U wORSHIP NOw AS PROGRESIVE DID wHEN THEY ARE IN THAT PARTY.AND FOR ME TO SEE THIS SAME INDIVIDUALS IN THIS NEw PARTY THAT CALLS IT SELF PROGRESSIVES ONLY SHOwS THEY ARE wOLVES IN SHEEP CLOTHING.THEY CAN KEEP DECEIVING U BUT NOT ALL NIGERIANS.
My friend, there is no permanent enemy in politics but, permanent interest. If you must know, politics is all about strategy.Obasanjo used tinubu to win Lagos state votes in 2003 for his re-election and that doesn't suggest they have the same political ideologies. Mimiko's case is also a very good example of how good strategy works.Having people defect to other party isn't a new thing, Atiku did it when he fell out of favor from PDP stalwarts, didn't he go back when his ambition could not be fulfilled?. Late Funsho Williams was an AD man but, when his governorship ambition in Lagos did not come true, he left for PDP.It may also interest you to know that no opposition gives 'open credit' to good policies of the incumbent government even PDP can never do that (A case study of Fashola's Administration in Lagos).

From the foregoing, you should know that the idea behind absorbing all those you called 'PDP thieves' is to have more strong people from the opposition who can deliver some parts of the country that have hitherto been a PDP stronghold. If Gani Fawehinmi had spent 1000 years on earth, he can never win a presidential election in his lifetime if his national conscience party doesn't mingle with the devils in the ruling party.

PoliticsRe: Bakare Speaks On APC Merger Party by Tunjman(m): 8:18pm On Mar 19, 2013
This is a man that once condemned Buhari and later accepted to run with him..he's talking about Reuben Abati, didn't he tow his line in 2011?...if this had come out from the mouth of Bakare of 1999-2007, i would have taken it as his usual crusade against corrupt office holders but, ...he lost my respect when he ventured into active politics.

I believe if he is given an appointment by these rogues in future, he will sing their praise to high heavens.

PoliticsRe: Controversial 'APC' Sends E-mail With PDP Address - SaharaReporters by Tunjman(m): 11:59am On Mar 16, 2013
We all should have known that no new crop of politicians would come together within a span of 2 weeks and get ready a party secretariat, manifesto, Logo, ID Card and other stuffs necessary to get a political party registered.

It is evident that PDP started planning this ahead of the merger knowing that it was going to work but, withheld naming the party till the merging parties come out with one which would later be used to truncate their efforts.

Whoever came up with the idea is a smart fellow no doubt but, a party which lay claim to the biggest in Africa should be smart enough to engage the service of a professional and confident lawyer and not one that will fidget at every slight intimidation. It's also infantile not to take creation of email account for any business seriously at this jet age seriously not to talk of using a proxy email account to transact business.

PDP should just concentrate on what they are doing and leave nigerians to choose in 2015.
