if you have a nokia phone (preferably a smartphone) install nokia pc suite on your pc, activate gprs on your phone if you havent already done so (for mtn send SETTINGS to 3888 or set manually by setting packet data or gprs as your connection profile , set the IP to 10.199.212.2, APN (access point) to web.gprs.mtnnigeria.net), connect the phone to the pc via usb, bluetooth or infrared, start the internet connection service in pc suite and choose your connection method. once your phone is configured as a modem, fire up your default browser. voila, instant wireless internet!

But what is going to be the dial up username and password for the DUN connection and what is the fee for doing this? Is it free?

Ehmmm, is there anyway for someone to browse using celtel for free? i.e. his gprs enabled phone connected to his pc and connecting to the internet at normal spped.

I am using a pentium 3, Compaq presario 700 and Windows Unlimited operating system.
The USB ports are working perfectly.
I tried to connect an external usb Hard Disk Drive but it did not work
I used another computer and it worked.
Is it due to the motherboard or operating system
Please reply me if you have been in this type of situation before.

My guy, I was in that situation like 2 weeks ago. Did you install any antivirus like kaspersky or AVG. If you did, boot in in Safe mode and uninstall the last software you installed before you experienced that problem. That should solve it. If not get a bootable anti virus software and bootup the system with the Anti virus.

[b]You guys are all funny. I think we have a set of rules here in this house. Before you reply any post, make sure that you have read all the replies, so that you won't just keep repeat what has been said earlier.
About this hibernation issue, hibernation saves all what you are doing (tasks on the computer) and stores them on the hard drive and the system goes off just as if it was shut down. It has nothing to do with memory nor power. The next time you restart the computer, you will see "Resuming ". All the tasks will then load to the memory again and there you go. The good thing about it is that there is no hastle of going through the normal booting procedures. That's it.

Hi Man, U said ur computer keeps on rebooting on its own. Maybe it is growing crazy and does not like you again. First thing to do;
Scan thoroughly for viruses, backup important documents. Also note the software you installed last, if u remember it, uninstall it. There is a software compatibility error I think.
If that does not take care of the problem, Man do what is called Formatting.
