No historical sources. No dates . Nothing You will never be allowed to use beer parlour lies to rewrite history
These were Awo's positions on true federalism.

Awo on Federalism for Multi-National Country
"I predict that every multi-lingual or multi-national country with a unitary constitution must either eventually have a federal constitution based on the principles which J have enunciated, or disintegrate, or be perennially afflicted with disharmony and instability."

Awo on Human Diversity and Political Autonomy
"You can unite but can never succeed in unifying peoples whom language has set distinctly apart from one another; the more educated a linguistic. group becomes, the stronger it waxes in its bids for political self-determination and autonomy, unless it happens to be the dominant group."
- Thoughts on the Nigerian Constitution, 1966.

Awo On Creation of More States for Minorities
"The creation of the Mid- West State will be the beginning of a journey which may be short or long but which will irresistibly bring Nigeria to the goal of true federalism and more States, and of individual freedom and happiness for all our people."
- Awolowo and Nigerian Federalism, 1988.

Awo on Population As Basis Of Sharing Revenue
"In a country where the accuracy of the census figures is so much in acrimonious dispute, it is gross and aggravating provocation to urge that population should be used as a basis of sharing what belongs to others who are much fewer in number."
-The Strategy and Tactics of the People's Republic of Nigeria, 1970

Awo on State Police
"Under my proposals, Police is a residual subject, because the immediate problem of maintaining law and order can only be properly and more effectively tackled by the State Government."
- The Strategy and Tactics of the Peoples' Republic of Nigeria, 1970.

Awo on the Nigerian Federation
"Nigeria is not a nation. It is a mere geographical expression. The word Nigerian is merely a distinctive appellation to distinguish those who live within the boundaries of Nigeria from those who do not".
- Path To Nigerian Freedom, 1947

Awo On Nigeria As Created By The British
"It is incontestable that the British not only made Nigeria, but also hand it to us whole on their surrender of power. But the Nigeria, which they handed over to us, had in it the forces of its own disintegration. It is up to contemporary Nigerian leaders to neutralize these forces, preserve the Nigerian inheritance, and make all our people free, forward-looking and prosperous. "
- The Peoples' Republic, 1968.

Awo On Future Conflicts
"The seed for a future minority problem in the North has been sown by the Government. It will grow with growing political consciousness on the part of those who settle permanently in the North."
- Path to Nigerian Freedom. 1947

Awo on an Ijaw Presidency of Nigeria
"I look forward to the day - not in the far distant future - when an Ijaw would be President of our
Republic, and a Birom his Vice or vice versa."
- Speech at the UPN's First Campaign (1978): In Voice of Wisdom (1981)

Lol! So OP you are simply a PDP shameless supporter, good to know. So now that PDP has zoned the presidential ticket to the north hope you are going to make sure it's a Christian (since an Igbo candidate is no longer feasible).
It just pains you to realize that people still prefer APC to PDP, unfortunately for you the religious card is the worst idea you could ever. It didn't work and it will never will.

Young man I am not and can never be a PDP supporter. I still stand by an Igbo candidate come 2019. Any platform that would restore balance to Nigeria and enable christians to live in peace in the North once again.

Politics / Ondo 2016: Echoes And Fears For 2019 Elections- Danjuma Abdullah by Turakidanjuma(m): 11:36am On Nov 29, 2016
In the aftermath of the Ondo guber elections fears are being raised over the possible outcome of 2019 presidential elections. The manner and pattern of disenfranchisement of the PDP candidate is stunning and bewildering. The current administration is at its wits end in exploiting legal, political and electoral means in stopping the opposition.

The action of Okon Abang and their INEC collaborators in weeding out the candidate of the PDP should worry all well-meaning Nigerians. We look in consternation and fear of possible re-occurence in 2019. The economic implications are dire and fearful.

Should the outcome of the Ondo elections are to reflect the 2019 elections, then Nigerians should not hold their breath as the light at the end of the tunnel no longer exists. The recession that Nigerians are currently undergoing would last a lot longer than planned as this administration does not have a blue-print to salvage the economy. Take a look around you, everything that the PDP built in 16 years is being destroyed in less than 2 years.

Should the outcome of Ondo elections become a pointer to 2019, then expect the Niger Delta to continue the bombings and for the southern parts of Nigeria to continue to be left out in the scheme of things. Take a look around, everything the PDP built in 16 years is crumbling from the economy to free and fair elections. From Niger Delta militancy resurgence to clamours for seccession.

Should the outcome of the Ondo elections be taken as the nexus for 2019, then we are in for a long ride of more taxes. From the N50 being paid for deposits above 1,000 to the data charges increase that is to commence January 2017 and of course the three minutes call tax that will soon be implemented. Nigerians should expect more suffering and smiling or begin a revolution to put an end to suffering meted to all and sundry. As it stands 2019 would be a continuation of the 8 years of famine.

Lastly, should the outcome of the Ondo elections be taken as the pointer to 2019. Then more Agatu massacre, more churches will be vandalized and burnt like the ones in Niger state and Kaduna and Borno. Expect more attacks by the mobile Boko Haram [herdsmen] and the Shia. Expect more attacks on Christians in the North.

Should Ondo 2016 become 2019...................Then I weep for my country.

Danjuma Abdullah is a Christian from Biu in southern Borno.

Aisha Buhari, wife of President Muhammadu Buhari, says the donations of her non-governmental organisation (NGO) cannot be mismanaged because she monitors them from her bedroom.

Aisha made this statement during an interview she granted to Your View, a show on TV Continental.

She also said her projects had not received any cash donations, and that 85% is her personal contribution.

“We are going from state to state to see what we can do to reduce maternal mortality, and we are providing women with basic things needed in a labour room,” she said.

“A lot of women can not afford it and stay at home to deliver the babies and that is dangerous. 80 percent of the kits will get to them because I monitor everything from my bedroom,” she said.

“I think out of all the contributions, it is only mine that gets to the internally displaced persons (IDPs) up to 85%.

“As the wife of the president, when I call people answer, that is why we have pet projects.”

She said the items that have been donated to the beneficiaries of the welfare programme, who are indigent men, women, widows and disabled from 17 local government areas, include 1,000 bags of rice, 1,000 cans of cooking oil, tomatoes, provisions and other food supplements.

“We are concentrating more on Borno community because it needs urgent attention,” she said.

On gender equality, she said: “Men and women are not the same, all we ask is to be treated nicely, women are to support the men.

“One of the major factor that hinders women from speaking out when it comes to domestic violence is the fear of the unknown, every woman should be able to sustain herself.”

The issue of bedroom came up after she raised the alarm that her husband’s government had been hijacked.

Responding to the allegation, Buhari had said his wife was not versed in politics, and that she belonged to his kitchen, his living room and the other room
