A student of the University of Technology, Afolabi Emmanuel has been suspended by the institution's management for hacking into Premium Times, an online news publication on the 28th and 29th of February,2020. Emmanuel was said to be a final year student of the Department of Food Science and Technology.
The Deputy Director Corporate Communication of the institution, Adegbenro Adebanjo described the student action as “as an act that constitutes misconduct and misuse of University IT infrastructure''

The letter of suspension of the said student which was dated August 5,2020 according to Adegbenro Adebanjo the University “received a complaint from Premium Times about a Denial of Service, DOS attack on its website between 28th and 29th February 2020 through a concerted vulnerability scanning by a person using IT infrastructure of the University''

WHO IS ELIGIBLE?
UTME
Candidates who choose the university as their first choice.
Candidates who meet the minimum cut-off mark of 180 and above for the 2020/2021 academic session.
Candidates who did not pick the institution and are willing and score a minimum of 180 and are willing to change to the institution.

Direct Entry Candidates:

Candidates with ‘A’ Level/ OND/HND/NCE/A’LEVEL/JUPEB Results/Certificate or First Degree who had applied for Direct Entry Admission through JAMB into the University.
Candidates who possess Diploma certificate of the University and who had applied for Direct Entry admission through JAMB into the University.
Candidates with Diploma from other approved institutions with minimum of Upper Credit who had applied through JAMB for Direct Entry admission into the University.

The Students association in Nigeria has given the Federal Government two weeks to reopen schools. They threaten to protest if the government fails to get academic activities in the various institutions back on track.
The students association which includes the National Association Polytechnic Students (NAPS), National Association of University Students (NAUS), and National Association of Colleges of Education Students (NANCES) at a virtual meeting made this decision.

They also faulted the FG for canceling the 2020 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASCCE) stating that social distancing and proper prevention methods against COVID-19 could be put in place. They urged the Minister of Education, Mallam Adamu Adamu to reconsider and reopen schools.

On August 27,2017, Tayo Bakare, a cultist who raped a student and her friend has been jailed for 20 years. The victims were students of the Federal University of Oye Ekiti (FUOYE). It was reported that he lured the lady and her friend to a hotel after pretending to be a family friend. This happened in the Ikotun area of Lagos.

The 2020 Post-UTME/Direct Entry form for EBSU, EBONYI STATE UNIVERSITY ABAKALIKI has been announced by the institution. Candidates who score 160 and above in the 2020 JAMB are eligible to sit for the exams. Candidates should also have made the institution the first choice and other candidates willing to apply for the screening should make the institution their first choice in their JAMB Change of course portal.

DATE :The screening is scheduled to take place on Monday, 22nd June, 2020 and end on Thursday 30th July, 2020. Only candidates who meet the institution cutoff of 160 and above is eligible.

SCREENING FEE: The Application fee costs N2000.

The JAMB 2020 change of course, institution and correction of data has commenced. The JAMB Portal for corrections has now been activated. Candidates can now proceed to change their institution, course and Bio-data which include , your name,date of birth, gender , state and local government.

To effect the above changes, candidates are expected to pay a fee of 2,500. The payment is to be made online, just follow the directions of JAMB. The fee do not however include the charges by the accredited center.

The Federal Government has just disclosed today, 8th July, 2020 that schools will not be reopening as stated earlier. It was disclosed by Tolu Ogunlesi , an aid to President Buhari on new media in a tweet on his official twitter handle.

According to the tweet post, ‘’Minister of Education has just announced that schools under control of the Federal Government will not be reopening for the forthcoming WAEC exams. Says WAEC should suspend exams and urges State Governments to toe Federal Government line. This is not the right time to reopen,’’

The Nigerian senate has passed a new Bill to protect students in tertiary institution against predatory lecturers who wants to take advantage of them. The Bill was passed Tuesday, July 7, 2020.

The bill titled:

‘A Bill for an Act to prevent, prohibit and redress Sexual Harassment of students in tertiary educational institutions and for matters concerned therewith, 2019’, Was sponsored by the Deputy Senate President. Ovie Omo-Agege, and 106 other senators.

Vicky slowly opened her eyes,the drugs had worn off, she laid on the bed, still naked. She was trying to gain her consciousness when she realized she was naked and quickly grabbed the bed sheet to cover herself.

‘Oh God!’’ she exclaimed, ‘why am I naked and on his bed’’ , she thought out loud.She quickly got out of the bed and wore her clothes which were lying on the floor. She was now getting nervous, different thoughts began to engulf her mind.

‘’Did Sam, have his way with me’’ She tried to recollect what happened, but the images were still blurry in her mind.It was already morning and the guys were seated in the other room waiting for her to wake up.Still remembering so much fun they had had the night before.

The heads of tertiary institutions at the JAMB 2020 admission policy meeting has adopted 160 as minimum cut-off mark for 2020/2021 admissions into universities whiles 120 was agreed for polytechnics and 100 for colleges of education.

Speaking during the 2020 policy meeting on admissions,Prof. Is-haq Oloyede, Registrar of JAMB, said no institution is allowed to go below the minimum score pegged for admission.

The Minister of State for Education, Chukwuemeka Nwajiuba, made it known at the 2020 JAMB Policy meeting that the Federal Government has list certain conditions that must be met before schools and tertiary institutions will be reopened.

According to him, all Institutions must have
hand-washing facilities,
Body temperature checks,
Body disinfectants at all entering points to their major facilities including the gates, hostels, classes, offices, etc.,
the whole premises of each institution must be decontaminated, all efforts must be geared toward maintenance of the highest level of hygiene and finally
Social and Physical Distancing in class sizes and meeting spaces must be ensured.

''Get the camera, we don't have enough time before she wakes up'' , Sam snapped at them. He was ready to get his dubious plan into action. The time was almost 9PM and they wanted to get it over with. Victor and Mike quickly got into position as they had planned earlier whiles Sam began to UnCloth Vicky slowly. They had taken her into the bedroom where the action was to take place. The other two , were already half naked whiles Sam was on the bed entirely naked as well with Vicky fully unclothed now. They had worn face masks because they did not want to be implicated in the crime they were about to commit.

He drew closer to her and planted a soft kiss on her lips. She looked away trying to loose his eye contact.

"Dont tell me you are shy" he whispered.

"ermm ernmn, im not. Im not just used to u yet" she mumbled.

He drew more closer, this time holding her around her waist. "look into into my eyes" he said, pulling her face to face his. "I love you and I know u feel the same way too. What are we waiting for. Lets just do it and express our love to each other" he said with a convincing look.

A look Patience couldn't resist and he always knew how to make her scum to his demands. She blushed once again moving her face from his and looking the other way


"At least sit down whiles you are here " he said . "can I get u anything to drink ?

Yes , just water.she replied feeling reluctant.

He smiled and she watched him disappear into another room .

That was the first time she has visited his room, although he had always insisted on having her over. His room looked organized, she was impressed. His books were neatly arranged on a mini table at one corner of the room. The Walls were painted to match the colours of his curtains which hung beautifully across the windows.

Sam is every girl's dream guy especially on campus , at least that was what she thought.
