The same thing happened to us,we were feeding this boys with our ration of the feed given to us.Sometime we feed them with our own food we cooked anytime the general food didn't come from the governmen.One day keke riders were having issues with the central traffic department (MTD),the whole of maiduguri was in high tension because the boys wow to burn down the police station.we were drafted to secure the station,it was the same almajiri that started throwing stones on us, the same children where were feeding with our food.we are shock by the behavior of this children.We know decided that we will never give them food or anything till the day we leave maiduguri.That is when I realized the level of wikedness in the heart of this children.

There are majorly two problems to these. First, their parents and secondly, the teachers.

Their parents who give birth to them in multitudes knowing fully well they can't afford their upkeep. Parents who dump their kids as almijiris with the teachers without checking on them for years. I heard some wear one cloth for weeks and haven't seen their parents for 4 to 5 years.

On the other hand, the teachers who don't rebuke these. Teachers who accept these kids without any valid agreement with the parents as to the welfare of the kids. Teachers who allow these kids to roam about begging without close monitoring. Teachers who even encourage these acts to feed from the kids returns.

In my opinion, aside sensitizing them, they should begin to arrest them all and face the law because these children are exposed to all kinds of risk which may pose adverse effects on the society as time passes.

The people are above the law, arrest them and see massive protest most especially if it comes from a southern government.

Can you please tell me whether other tribes are also treated with fairness and equity? Buhari's government appointments are lopsided, which is very very bad to be candid but that should motivate and teach other tribes to get to presidency and fix their people in important positions too. Igbo sabi business wella, they are the best, but when it comes to politics, they are very worst and I know they might not take that as truth. In this country, the winner takes it all. Igbos should upgrade their politics and spread it to other regions, no tribe is ready to give power to other tribes, you take it with intelligence and tactics, and not by force.
