chichi89: uhm sorry,I actually want to write that the landed properties and houses don't have to be yours. I'm so sorry about your mom. I think you will be requested to also attach her death certificate to your app. Ehen the house is good. Then you can also talk more about home ties in your SOP but your dad's house and the study leave letter should cover it. I wish you the very best.
Will do all these. But if i didn't mention that she's late, would i still be required to add her dirth cert? Just asking though, guess will ask my brother abt d cert.
Thanks so much, really appreciate your explanations. Am a newbie and am gonna need a guidance.
Trying to get a school that offers the course i wanna go study. Am looking at next year september.

pyhz: Ur study leave approval letter from ur employer will help a lot in dis regards as it will serve as ur home tie.

Also b prepared to write a very good letter of explanation as to y u sponsoring ursef, aw long uv worked, aw long uv bn saving to sponsor ursef.
U will need to add death certificates of ur parents in ur application.
Then if u have siblings, u have to made mention on how they will b taken care of while u r away except they are all grown ups n are on thr own.

This I blif is wat can help u out.
Other members of the house will be assisting too with various points.

Stay tuned.
Alright, thanks for this. Will work on getting a strong letter of explanation as to why am sponsoring myself if need be.

chichi89: Let me answer to the extent of my knowledge on this matter.
As a self sponsor I THINK you need to provide your employment letter and maybe promotion letter (not compulsory), payslips, the letter from your employer acknowledging you work there and you will be granted leave,
Then as for how much you need in your account, that depends on your fees. The usual thing is to add up your fees for at least a year + living expenses which is I think $12000 for quebec and $10000 for other provinces and then + some little extra for flight and stuff.
If your parents have landed properties use it for home ties. It must be yours. I think what they consider is since it belongs to your parents, you will inherit it or something grin
Maybe share certicates if available.
Other nairalanders will contribute.
Thank you for this. At least, its cooling.
Leaving this country lies on me in some ways. That was why i asked this question. Though my mum is late but my dad owns a house here, maybe i can use that and ofcourse my study leave permit from my employer as home ties.
I work in my state polytechnic.
Travel › Re: Travelling To Canada Part 5 by twaintoy(f): 2:21pm On Jul 16, 2014
pyhz: For me : I always advise against self sponsoring for studying.
Y dont u make one of ur parents ur main sponsor n then u can act as a co-sponsor.
By doing this u cud easily make use of ur parents documents as they will serve as ur home tie.
Thrs no limit to the amount u can have, bt jz make sure the amount u have will cover a year tuition fees n accommodation fees.

Lastly u dont wonna telling a VO u wunt come back after ur studies.
Never said i was gonna tell d VO i wont come back after studies, ain't a kid.
What of if i got no parents? And family members are not willing to sponsor. But i have the means of sponsoring myself.
Travel › Re: Travelling To Canada Part 5 by twaintoy(f): 1:41pm On Jul 16, 2014
pyhz: Sorry for ur refusal!

First of all u failed to show any home ties documents. This can b rectified by providing landed properties documents of both ur parents and ur uncle. If ur parents have biz of thr own, pls include thr biz registration documents n transactions documents of thr biz too.

Secondly, how ur sponsor derives his income must be explained. By providing his employment letter, payslips, tax receipts,id card or if he is self employed, provide his biz registration documents, his business transactions receipts. This also helps in proving ur home ties.

Also u have to include a sworn affidavit of sponsorship from ur uncle as this serves as a binding effect of his sponsorship over u.

If u r employed, u will have to provide ur employment letter, payslips, id card and study leave approval letter from ur employer.
If uv bn working for more than 2yrs, pls include ur Soa.

Any other documents u deem fit that can help ur application, pls add it .

Ths r areas I think u shud work on. Other members of the house will add more.
I have some questions as regards sponsorship from uncle or parents and self sponsorship, i.e, sponsoring myself.
My questions are, if am sponsoring myself, what are the documents i have to provide as a self sponsor?
How much do i need to have in my account to be able to convince the officer that i can take care of myself in canada?
If i do not have any landed property or business to show as home ties, what do i need instead of landed properties or any property as such?
I have been working for over 2years and i intend getting a study leave without PAY from my employer, though am gonna stay back in canada to be living and working there.
Thank you.

chidimma1: I think you stand a chance of securing admission, only avoid schools that insist on having 2.1 as one their admission requirements.
Thanks

There are many courses u cud choose if u had a 1st degree in mass comm. Public realations, infotech like miss bon suggested and many odas.infact there is one nice course they call 911 emergency; don't know if international students can do it though. I think u need to visit d website of ur choice skul, select ur faculty;dats Art/social science I think and check d available course. I'm sure u'll find sometin nice cos I'm not sure u can just go for msc infotech like dat. This nursing of a thing go be long tin for u. I doubt u even had o levels in physics and chemistry.....hmmn...good luck
Will do just that. Thanks

Alright. Thanks.

realone01: Yeah!
Thank God!!! What are my chances? Or are you in canada or a prospective canadian like us? Which institution offers it?
Travel › Re: Travelling To Canada Part 5 by twaintoy(f): 1:27pm On Jul 12, 2014
Jijola: Most Canadian institutions have Infotech. Your background in Masscom should fit into one of the specialisations in Infotech.Infotech guys can shed more light on this. You also mentioned nursing if I heard you right? Why would you wanna do anything nursing, it's overcrowded already in Canada, and not even related to your background. You can shed more light though, maybe I just didn't get your point.
Ok. Which institution can you recommend? Never mind on that nursing for now, let's concentrate on the infotech. Will shed more light on it later.

Jijola: This is the link to the documents I submitted listed them on page 329 -https://www.nairaland.com/1475467/travelling-canada-part-5/329
I opened this link and copied the documents u submitted. For references though.
I had a deep thought overnight. I love computer, everything that has to do with computer. Thought of going for masters in Information Technology. I spoke to a friend about it this morning considering the fact that I had bsc in mass comm, he said it doesn't matter that masters in info tech doesn't require having background in sciences since I already had bsc.
After d masters, I can go for d nursing.
What's your advice on this? Which school offers this, checked Google but couldn't get much, got just Number Institute of Technology and Advanced Learning.
Thanmk you.

Alright, will do that now. Thanks

Thank you.
What scan have u done respectively to this complaint?

Did u do a scan on ur OVARIES and the BLADDER and as well on the UTERUS?

Do u hav this pain at ur right lower tommy side or the left lower tommy side?

Can i knw more about your faeces?....Is it stony now? Bloody streaks on it?

Do u av pains severely after sexx or during or after?

Does this pain has a any period of time it comes worse...may be night?

My stance: You are advice to visit a GASTROENTEROLOGIST to knw if ur lower abdominal ache is within the rims of ORGANIC or FUNCTIONAL DISORDERS.Things u may do to help me now is to
1)BLOOD TEST for both BACTERIAL/FUNGAL/PROTOZOAN attack,as well as HELMINTHIC condition.
2)Basic scan such as PROCTOSCOPY or SEIGMODOSCOPY of the lower intestinal area
3)FAECAL ANALYSIS
4)URINE MICROSCOPY/ROUTINE...expecially the microscopy!
I did scan on the uterus, with a full bladder, hence the report i showed earlier.
For further consultation with you doc, can i have ur contact? Maybe ur email id or your phone number or probably your office addy and where u reside.
My feaces is not stony neither is there any blood on it.
No pain whatsoever during or after sex.
The lower abdominal pain is just all round, cant really say if its left or right.
No specific period of time, pain comes anytime.
But right now, am not feeling d pain as much as i used to.
Please, let me just have ur contact.
Thanks
ACYESIS means, you are not PREGNANT,everyother thing from the scan result sheet is okay.

You are having abdominal pains(ABDOMINALGIA)

when has dis problem bin?

Apart from these scan what other test av u done to work over this problem?

How old r u?

what trigger this problem d more?

Do u also suffer nausea, diarrhea, bloating with it?

Does the pains radiate to the back or it starts from the back and radiate to the tommy sides?

Do u have problem with urinary freq?

Chestpains?.....and odas more!
The pain started like 3weeks ago. I have done serum tests with that scan i did.
3 serum tests showed positive, 1 showed negative. D result of the scan is what i told u.
I am 27years old.
Nothing triggers the problem.
I only suffered diarhea dat was 2weeks ago, it has stopped now.
It starts from the tommy and to the back later.
I urinate frequently but not really again.
No chest pain, no other pain, just a boil under my armpit.
Please, what could really be happening?
Health › Re: Doctor In The House:Obstetrics And Gynecology by twaintoy(f): 7:55am On Dec 28, 2013
Hello Doc, I did a pelvic scan yesterday for lower abdominal pain after 3 positive SERUM PTs and 1 negative SERUM PT at 3 different federal and state hosiptals. I also did series of test with urine kits which came out negative.
The scan report is this: 'The Uterus is visualized with AP diameter of 4.1cm with intact endometrial plate. No fluid in the POD. No adnexial mass seen. Imp: Acyesis *repeat serum pt*'
Please, what is happening?
Please note, am not feeling pregnancy symptoms, just the mild lower abdominal pain.
Am visiting a private hospital today to get the serum pt done again and also the scan.
