Greetings Soon to be Mamas,
I was here some time ago ttc for baby #1. It wasn't an easy journey. I was depressed. God finally answered my prayers and I was able to conceive. I was delivered of a baby few months ago. The reason why it took me too long to come forward was because I was trying not to get too excited till I deliver (the first pregnancy ended in miscarriage). So throughout the 9 months, I was scared. But glory be to God who made me a Mother today.

I am sharing this story to motivate someone. If you are going through depression as a result of ttc, I want to tell you that you are not alone. The God that did it for me will visit you soon.

I made a promise to God during my ttc journey that if I deliver successfully, that I will sow a seed (a token) into the live of a ttc Mother who really need money to buy some medicine but can't not afford it.

This thread really helped me and I want to give the token to a ttc mama here but I don't know who is more deserving of it. By "more deserving" I mean a mama in financial distress. Maybe the hws can suggest for me.

the cost of HCG I mean.
I can't say tho, Cos I didn't buy it myself, my brother did. But it should be around 5k per packet

LovethYem:
Alright ma. Thanks ma. Please which one is HCG shot? Where do I get it? The lab am using is recommended by Doctor I tire O and is expensive also I did one follicular tracking last month is just 10k for days of scan and I always have interval of a day but this one is everyday O they said is the best lab in Ibadan but too expensive.here is result for last month own this month has not even write out anything except he saw cyst and fibroid of 46m
That's hcg below, and you will need to buy 2 packets. One packet is 5000iu, but you will need to inject 10,000iu at once.

You can get it at major pharmacy or big drug market.

I don't believe that there is anything like best lab when it come to scan. Scan everywhere is the same jare.

And about the fibroid ish, please seek professional advice before using any of the drugs mentioned. And do more research, cos I don't know whether or not they will have any negative effect on the fibroid.

HealthRe: Trying To Conceive A Child? TTC by Twinee08:
LovethYem:
Am scare of Clomid o. Have taken it up to 3 times in 2015 and it give me cyst. Each time I take I won't be able to sleep. Doctor also told same thing that once I didn't see eggs now it can't big so I will be treated for no ovulation
Don't use Clomid.

Use letrozole: start from cycle 3 -7, or 5 - 9 (2 tabs daily)

And start tracking from day 12 (if you have 28days cycle) or day 14 (if you have 30days cycle)

Don't track everyday, It's a waste of money (Use your instinct. Eg, If your follicle measures like 10 or12mm on first tracking then don't scan again till like 3 to 4 days. If it measures like 16mm on first tracking, then scan after 48hrs.

Once you get up to 22mm, trigger it with hcg shot. (Buy it on time. Don't run around at the dying minute. It's not an injection u can easily get around.)

Also look for lab that is less expensive. 3k per scan is too much. Around here it's 1.5k - 2k.

All the best.

Be careful of all these people asking you to contact. A good number of them wants to take advantage of your depression.

My advice to you is to look for cheap and reliable hospital to do the laparoscopy. Then try medicated cycle with follicular tracking.

Dear E-Sisters,

It’s a BIG FAT POSITIVE!!!!
I’ve been a silent reader for about 7months now, to be candid I have learnt a lot here. I would like to say a big thank you for the assistance, support, prayers, motivation and encouragement.
One of the mamas here prayed that this month of March there will be good testimonies and I claimed it.
Everywomen here our wombs are blessed. We are all fruitful we will testify to the Lord’s glory and tell everyone that he is worthy. This year is our year let’s keep strong and continue pushing. This year is our year the devil has lost this battle already.
Thanks mamas
Plenty BFP kiss kiss
Congratulations

This's amazing. I pray d egg ruptures by then.
Pls mama, how did u improve your follicles? Did u use any supplement? Need ur response pls.
Amen

I didn't use any supplement. My doctor advised that I shouldn't use any medications this month. Her argument is that she want to monitor how my body function on it's own first before we take any step.

The only thing I did was to change my eating habit. (I heard it has a lot to do with ttc)

*So I cut out anything made with sugar

* Eat more fruits and vegetables (with exception of fruits high in sugar like orange, mango, banana)

*Practice food portion control (In the bid to lose weight. I am not fat nor obese tho, but I heard dropping few pounds can be beneficial)

*Cut down my carb intake to once a day
* Drink a lot of water
*Do some lazy man's exercise (On days, I remember)
* Take folic acid daily (Not religiously tho)

Plus mama how is follicular tracking done ma?
Follicular tracking is done through transvaginal scan. It will help you to know whether or not you are going to have a viable cycle.

Depending on how buoyant you are, you can go for scan 2-4 times in a cycle start from CD10 for someone with 28days cycle, and CD12 for someone with 30days cycle.

Greetings everyone in the hws

Today I did CD16 follicular tracking and was happy that there's an improvement from the last cycle. I attached the result below.

The sonographer asked us to bd Saturday and Sunday and come back on Monday check and ascertain whether or not the egg ruptured.

I still need advice from experienced Mamas in the house on how to support this follicle and make sure something fruitful come out of it.

Good evening fruitful mamas..its a bfp after trying for almost one year.. Please join me and praise the Almighty God.. I have been a silent member though..

Widd

Last month, a mama(i can't remember her moniker) posted something about taking vitb6 few days after ovulation.. I decided to try it.. I bought 100naira counting ones ..took it once in the morning and once in the night.. I didn't even finish it before I tested positive with urine last week..God used 100naira vitb6 to give me my bfp.. I never ceased praying and trusting God though.. Baby dust on all of us.. We all must testify soon in Jesus name, Amen.
Congratulations

I'm new here.. I got married November last year and have been trying to conceive.. someone recommended pregnacare for his and her to me and my husband.. donnoh if anyone here has tried it and if it works.. please help a sister
Before diving into drugs, I will advice you and DH to do preliminary test and ovulation monitoring for some months. That will give you an idea of what you are dealing with.

My 2 cents
I wish I knew this earlier.

Good p.m Mamas/Drs in the house. Pls I curious to know whether or not I do ovulate.

My Dr. ask me to do a cd10 abdominal or pelvic scan. I did that today. Based on the findings, the sonographer said there was no follicle at all. Now, I am even more confused. Does it mean I have not be ovulating at all, all this while?

I uploaded the result and also last month BBT chart. Please someone talk to me. I'm confused.
So I did another tvs today being cd15. Some follicle were seen though there were small. The largest of them measures 6.5mm x 5.3mm

Do I still have hope for this month? If not, any solution for next month?

Pinkky24life:
Twinee08, I had a similar case to yours few months ago. At CD 16, no developing follicle was seen in my follicle tracking. So, it was concluded that I didn't ovulate that cycle. Out of curiosity, I went to google to fine out what could cause anovulatory cycle. I found out that lifestyle and certain medication can cause it. All I did was to stop the medicine I was taking then. The next month, my Dr asked me to do hormonal profile and the result showed that I ovulated.
So, don't conclude now. Still track your follicle on CD 12. If no follicle is seen, then you don't need to continue since you have 29 days cycle. Try to find out why you didn't ovulate that cycle. Also, I was made to understand that annovulatory cycle occur in some women at times unknowingly to them. Cheers!
Thanks for your input.
I wasn't on any medications tho.

hmmm, if they did that and didnt see any follicle at all on cd 10, its a lil strange, cos even if you ovulate on cd 20, small follicles shud be present, anyway try again in 4 to 6 days later n see, meanwhile i recommend you stock up on egg stimulating supplements, like ovaboost, ubiquinol, royal jelly, etc
Thanks for your advice. Hope they have no side effects?

do a p[\b]roper follicular tracking, they will wear condom on the tool and insert in ur vjay, it sees better than surface pelvic scan.
since ur cycle length is 29, u ca start from cd 10 or cd 12
Yeah, they did that. I will have to check again in a later date.

Twinee08 , by CD 10 they can't see any follicle. They are still too tiny to see even with transvaginal follicular tracking not to talk of abdominal /pelvic tracking. Your doctor sef...

Try going in on CD 12, 13 and 14 depending on your cycle length. Good luck.

Modified -
From your chart, it looks like you ovulated on day 20/21. It's like you have a long cycle. So you can even try tracking for ovulation later than the standard day 14. Say start from day 17, then 19, and 21.
I have a 29days cycle. Last month was just late by 3days

Yeah, I have once dialed my late dad's number (In my mind, it's been a while since I heard from him)

It's was when I got the 'Not available' voice note that it occur to me that he's no more. Tears rolled down my cheeks.

The next step is just relax! It sounds as if you had a very early miscarriage (chemical pregnancy) and low progesterone MAY be the cause.
My candid advice is that next time, as soon as you have a positive pregnancy result and it's likely to happen again and soon, just head for the nearest big pharmacy and get CYCLOGEST suppositories to support the pregnancy. (Alpha pharmacy, off Toyin str if u're in Lagos. Others in the house who know of other sources, pls contribute). Cyclogest is not only for IVF patients; it also helps support threatened naturally conceived pregnancies. TTC sistas 40 & above pls. specially take note of this - you may have been losing early pregnancies due to your body not producing enough progesterone to support the pregnancy without being aware. All I do is freely share from research & personal experience, so hope this helps someone.
Thanks a lot for this piece. I appreciate

Sorry about the miscarriage.Have you been to the hospital? The problem might be something as small as low progesterone.Infertility should not be treated blindly.Go to the hospital, run tests and get the required treatment. Do not take the clomid again except it is prescribed by a qualified medical doctor.,i take God beg you.Stop receiving treatment from your nurse.Don't waste time and don't add to your fertility challenges by working with unqualified personnels.May God grant you righteous children.
She's actually a qualified midwife working at University teaching hospital.
Thanks for the advice. I have also resolved to stop all blindI treatment and will be seeing a gynecologist on Thursday.
