I would only allow this thread to continue if you limit your introduction of the Decoder to what it can do without discussing what it can do illegally to opening pay tv which is not supported on this forum. Meanwhile am locking the thread for now. If you must start a new one, take note of my observations or else I will throw it to recycle bin immediately. |
What does the law says about DSTV broadcasting their channels? Was it by solely digital means only or any other means? Does DSTV transmits other channels apart from those channels it has on Digitals? Some questions that needs answers. Having said this, It is a good development for the consumers. Startimes and Gotv competions favours the consumers. Whenever government is looking at the issues, they should consider the consumers interest in this matter. |

Please do help with the report of this VIN JTEDS43AX82007489 Thanks in advance |
I wouldnt call it stealing. For me, My wife can take money from my wallet anytime she likes. Any money I dont want her to touch, I wont put it in my wallet. It works for me and may not work for some people. Me and my wife dont operate house keeping money system, so she is free to take money and use it anytime she wants. @op If you took the money and later inform him that you did, that shouldnt be called stealing at all, it is the right thing to do, or else, where else does he want you to get the money. |
Please do help with the report of this VIN JTEDS43AX82007489 Thanks in advance |
ceaser: How'd you go about buying from aliexpress being a foreign - I think chinese - store? What was the delivery like and what payment options did you use? In short, could you outline step by step your transaction with 'em as i hope to patronise 'em soon. Thanks.I use GT Bank Naira Master card. The step by step on how to buy is on their web site. |
I had bought items from nearly all of them. Taafoo, jumia, laurensonline, konga, dealdey, aliexpress etc. The only bad experience i had was when I bought a netbook from Jumia, when I powered it on, I discovered the hard disk was faulty. when I called their customer care, I was told to fill a form online and wait for their reply, since i wasnt in Lagos. I found it too cumbersome and unrealistic, so I decided to buy another hard disk, and put the netbook into workable condition. My advice, if you are buying anything, let it be something that is expendable, i.e something that even if worse come to worst, you wont feel bad about |
@All those saying the Moderator let this thread to flow, I want to let you know that, the thread is all about Red Line Decoder, just like any other decoder. The most important thing is that, we should desist from discusing illegal thing on Nairaland, as Nairaland had been frowning at it for a long time, we still does. However, like any other decoder, we all know they are all sophisticated, so we should desist in discusing such illegal methods in here. As for backyard we all keep talking about, not all FTA entusiast have access to backyard, just as visitors from around the globe coming to Nairaland cant have access to backyard, and we all know Nairaland is global, so I will let Redline Decoder thread continues with the caveat that, we should watch what we post. And lastly, plese use "Report to Moderator" or email me if you need my attention, we can all make this section the best that it is. |
@Olenyi I visited this sections from time to time which u won't know because most of what I do is mod duties. The fact that I don't post doesn't mean I am missing on my duties as mods. Now, u know my email and u can make use of "report to moderator" as provided, anything short of that means you are querying my moderatorship, which I am not frowning at but i will rather u don't pretend that you want to be a moderator to which I will suggest you apply to the Admin. Having said this, those links u pointed out can be reported using report to moderator instead of making it sounds as if I lacked in my duties. For avoidance of doubt Redline Decoder is just like any other decoder but not a gadget and the fact that it was mentioned that it can opened dstv does not mean I should discontinued the thread, just that it won't be encouraged. A good member pointed the picture to me using the "report to Moderator" and I had since removed the offensive picture, if you yourself should report any illegal thing to me, I will equally take the same measure instead of broadcasting it here for all to feel the mod doesnt do his work. Lastly, If you indeed respect my person, then email me, please note that that this will be my last reply. |
@Olenyi. There is nothing wrong in telling FTA enthusiasts about Red Line Decoder, just as there is a thread opened for Strong, Openbox, Orton etc. However, all I tried to do is monitor where he is going extreme saying it can open dstv. If you want to report to Admin, you can do so, I wonder why you dont want to make use of "Report to Moderator"? I hasten to add that, Nobody gives Ihacked free reign, so, dont incite FTA enthusiasts here please. |

You think I posted that because of my Blog? I bet you didnt noticed I own a blog not this year, but since 2006. That is the only place I can narrate my experience. |
Our network operator (MTN, GLO, AIRTEL, and ETISALAT) had devised means of squeezing money out of the pocket of Nigerians and since it had been continuing unabated, it had become some sorts of milking money from unsuspecting Nigerians. Nowadays, whether you subscribe or not, they had devised a perfect plan to still debit your credit with their Fraudulent SMS. here is my experience: http://twinstaiye..com/2012/08/gsm-companies-fraudulent-sms-enough-is.html The fraudulent SMS from the GSM companies has hit a high and I cant just take it anymore. Our network operator (MTN, GLO, AIRTEL, and ETISALAT) had devised means of squeezing money out of the pocket of Nigerians and since it had been continuing unabated, it had become some sorts of milking money from unsuspecting Nigerians. One way or the other, you will just receive a text from your phone asking you to subscribed to certain tips, and as some of us had known that such SMS is being used to milk our credits, some of us just ignored such SMS. The idea is that, once you subscribe, they keep deducting money from your credit. There are some of them that will also ask you to join some bonanza with mouth watering offer, but since some Nigerians had known that it is just a gimmick to collect money from us, we just press the ignore button. However, these GSM companies had now gone haywire, and a lot opf them dont even allow you to susbcribe before they start deducting money from your credit, all they want you to do is just reply with or without the keyword for subscriptions. A case in point that forced me to make this write up was with Etisalat. I woke on Sunday morning 12th August, 2012 and I saw the following SMS on my blackberry phone. (See picture below) Oh, being a Muslim and who was fasting, I was very happy to receive such a FREE tips on islamic teachings, so I text option 2 back believing this is Ramadan period and I can do with words of Holy Quran moreso when it is FREE from my network operator. The next reply puzzled me (see picture below). I was very worried as to what they mean by subscription renewal is N50 per week, afterall I wasnt subscribing to anything, I was merely redeeming the FREE Islamic teachings that I WON. Well, I said to myself that, that should be optional, and that once my FREE 5 days Islamic teachings that I WON is over, I wont subscribe. But surprisingly this morning, 17th August, 2012, I received another SMS (see picture below) where my credit was debited with 50 Naira for subscription renewal. This is FRAUD. Now, I know you will said it is just 50 Naira, but, suppose 1 Million of their customer fall to these fraud SMS, they have make 50 Million Naira illegally by false pretense and without their customer willfully subscribing to the TIP. Did you see me trying to unsubscribe by texting STOP, it was shown delivered, but no reply yet. Government should nip these act in the bud, it is becoming alarming. Now, I can say I am computer literate, and that goes to recognising when an SMS from their end is to trap me to part with my credit, but what about this scenario? I was told in the SMS that I received that I WON FREE 5 days of Islamic teachings, there was no where where the SMS said I should subscribe. This is a FRAUD, is cruel and it despicable and preposterous, somebody should do something. Now, Pause and ponder, if this is what is obtainable now, dont you think it will get to a time that credit disappearance will be the order of the day? Someone just said, it is already happening. |
The only snag about it, works only on the computer you installed it on. If you use more than one computer to browse, it means you have to installed it also on other computers too. |
