This is one of a kind tho, but I don't think it'll really affect the economy of the states tho. Government and educational institutions (primary and secondary) are going to bear the brunt of this decision. I think this is the governor's best way of encouraging people to participate in the electioneering process.

The truth is that petroleum markerters are not making any money. I have friends who are into this sector of Nigerian economy, most times at checkpoints they are forced most times to Dole out certain litres to soldiers and policeman making them to sell at a loss.

There was a time a friend of mine was contracted to supply 15000 litres of diesel to a certain university, only for him to comeback with about 13000 litres he said he had to Dole out the remaining amounts at checkpoints due to harassment by military men can you imagine such.

Kwankwaso is a very popular politician in the north and if this merger happens it'll will be very instrumental to the labour party. Again to supporters of the other two major political parties please and please do not underestimate this merger if it ever happens. If it happens even if the Merged third force doesn't win it'll affect the chances of your candidate winning making it very slim

With what's going on in this election labour party might be a force to reckon with in this coming election. If the merger with NNPP happens this is going to be a very powerful third force let's wait and see what's going to happen. Even without the merger Peter Obi is becoming a very formidable third force.

People who underestimate Labour Party should know that even if Labour Party doesn't win it can reduce the chances of their candidates winning, because what's happening now shows their is no block vote for any political flag bearer now

Any person who has the zeal to rule Nigeria should have your running mate before contesting if not, it shows your unseriousness . I don't get why political candidates finds it difficult to chose their flag bearer it's so funny. HARASSMENT OF VOTERS WITH ARMED MILITARY PERSONNEL: This can't be stopped by owning of PVC'S. It can only be stopped by the government itself.

ABNORMAL CANCELLATION OF RESULTS: Can't be stopped by owning a PVC.

The truth is that your vote actually counts if your vote doesn't count politicians won't even bother to buy your votes. The way rigging works is mainly from the First and Last examples I cited previously. Buying Votes and abnormally cancelling votes is the basic way of rigging an election. The best way to stop rigging is to stop selling your votes to politicians

This form of campaign is actually a dead form of campaign and it would win the election for kwankwaso. This is because it's only going to fetch him northern votes not based on intellect but ethnic sympathy and sentiment. If this is the form of campaign he has then he has lost it. To supporters of the three major political parties supporting this kind of campaign note this it won't get your candidate votes too.

Lets talk about Tinubu: his region banned open grazing and created a security outfit to checkmate the Fulani normads . A large number of his supporters are those who supported the banning of open grazing and creation of the security outfit Amotekun example Governor Rotimi Akeredolu.

Obi: It was said that Peter Obi during his tenure allegedly deported beggers of northern Extraction. Most northerners I've met said because of this reason they can't vote him.

Lets assume Wike was on the ballot, the Taft that Wike demolished a mosque in Port Harcourt has created enemies for him on the north.

Atiku: supports open grazing and that will earn him numerous enemies in the south, who wouldn't want the madness herdsmen to continue. It won't earn him votes in the south.

So don't deceive yourselves. If we were to go by this form of campaign no aspirants will win.

Truth is We don't really have activists in Nigeria. The word "activists" and "activism has been bastardized the fact that you criticize the government doesn't make you an activist; you're just a political critic every field have critics. The fact that a person criticize's the government doesn't make him an activist. It doesn't also mean he has the masses at heart.

People like FFK, Reno, Deji and co have critized President Buhari's Administration, it doesn't make them activists. There are more than enough reasons to say.
Let's take FFK for an example:
when he was criticizing Buhari, the masses thought he had them at heart where is FFK today? He is dining and Whing with the administration he insulted

The best way to answer his question is to be specific. Are you talking about indigenous niger deltans? or south south states, because if you are talking about niger deltans you'd have to include other states from other geopolitical zones in Nigeria like Ondo and Imo.

If you're then talking about Niger Delta states then the population is far more than ten million people. If you're strictly talking about the population of south south states, then they should be more than ten million people too, due to the fact that the population of Nigerians have significantly grown.

Back to the Topic at hand. Is Okowa really the right choice. I think it's based on ethnic and geo politics. But the fact is any candidate winning this election is winning with a very small margin.

I've always said the idea of Muslim-Muslim ticket will heat up the polity. Nigeria is in a very terrible state right now and advocating for a Muslim-Muslim ticket will only divide the populace further. I've always said if you are advocating for Muslim-Muslim ticket don't do so under the fake umbrella of "competence", because that's to say adhertants of other faiths are not competent.

That will further help in heating up the polity. Shehu Sani is very right. If Kaduna state is even doing well I don't think it's because of such ticket

This is Okowa's Payment for supporting Atiku to get the ticket. Hope he would be able to mobilize voters for Atiku. Okowa is a coolheaded man l, Atiku chose him over Wike for his unflinching support and his resolve. PDP sees him as a bridge between the southeast and south south. Congrats tho

I think I understand Atiku's choice of choosing Okowa over Wike. Okowa seems to be a very calm Man and the Fact that Okowa Is Igbo and from the south south is one of the factors Atiku thought of when choosing him as his vice. He needs someone who can sell well in the south south and satisfy the ethnic sentimentality of the south east.

The only problem I see with his choice is the ability of Okowa to sell Atiku's candidacy to the grassroots. I don't know much about Okowa credibility in the grassroots but the masses of the the south south and southeast will determine who wins this election. Atiku's Popularity has really nosedived in the south since Obi's departure and he needs a vice president who can revamp his popularity

The North and Southwest are locked zones for the aspirants of the two flag bearers of the two major political parties. So the winner of the election would be determined by the south south and the southeast, but Any winner would be win with a very small margin. This election is too competitive
