3ncrypt3d: Guys any idea why this thing (R2 Pro) is charging extremely slow with gen?
Thought it was supposed to be less than 2 hrs to fully charge with AC input.
I was thinking maybe the load is too much for the generator but then the gen I’m using perfectly powers a 1.5hp inverter AC and and fridge together without issues.
I also tried adjusting to 500watts charging speed from the app but not sure if it has any effect so far as I’m still seeing 5hrs as time remaining. AC input is fluctuating between 300 and 40 (up and down)..
Is this normal or am I missing something? The reason is that most gen we have are not sine wave. Mine first did like that until I found a hack around it. The only thing I can't do is to fast-charge it. But 500 - 800 watts input still work. I don't know the optimised charging for river 2 pro, you may want to provide that. The load is not too much. In fact, maybe too little. What I did to maintain a charging speed of 800 watts was to ON my freezer, two fans, tv and other appliances I use normally when there is light. The load on my gen ensures a constant rate of supply, so it doesn't fall below it to be giving me 140 watts or 200 watts. You may want to try that. |

It is the duty of the Niger delta people to bring them to account what they have done with the money given NDDC. Anyway, it has now been scrapped and replaced with SSDC. If you like, allow your region not to use the development commissions well and others are progressing with it... uniquetechng: Niger Delta Development Commission has been in existence for many years, does that make the Niger Delta developed ?
Like someone said those commissions are just avenue for politicians to loot money, it aadds nothing to the welbeing of average Nigerians. |

Chai, just seeing this...that is why people run from skyrun. Their freezers or so gave them out. Like the advice on this thread, always go with a known tested, trusted, and reviewed brand. Imagine such a company doing wayo. There is a guy on the solar thread, is it Valtech or so, one will get a sure and better deal with him than Skyrun...these guys are unfortunate beings...spending such an amount for this. E dey pain me. Mandate1: I won't recommend this product.
Don't be deceived by the 2000W dey advertise, it's actually 1000W with a 104ah battery.
Any company that fails to add fine touches to their product is not a gud brand. I have the battery rating from 0-100. From 85-100 is whr the juice is, 84-0 depletes in less than 10mins.
A power station of this amount shouldn't be seen doing this rubbish. I strongly do not recommend u buy a skyrun product. |

If you click on my post to take you to the original post, you will see the back of the Ecoflow where the AC inlets are and the type of the adapter that I use. Like he said, it is the same thing with your extension box. 3ncrypt3d: Thanks guys for this wonderful thread. Not done reading but learned a lot so far.
This post by twosquare really cleared my doubts about certain things but one question I still have is about the socket inlet type.
The generator adapter I’m used to and actually have is the type attached here in.
Not quite sure what type of socket the EcoFlow River Pro comes with by default or if it is different from the standard, is there some sort of converter?
Please, any clarification on this would be appreciated. Thanks again |

Necksonnel: But why should that be a problem if we are using the generator line for it just like generator. When using generator we can switch to PHCN even while generator is ON and nothing happens. I think the delta 2 power should stop at the change over place after moving the switch to PHCN and shouldn’t cause any loop. I don’t know if you get me It will just be charging and the power it supply won’t go into the house but stop at change over because the switch has disconnect it I don't know about this, and I won't even dare... what we were saying is while the changeover is in the generator mode and you still have the ecoflow plugged into a wall socket via the charger, then you power the whole house. The power it supplies the whole house will come back to it thereby causing a loop. And it will go epileptic. |

twosquare: Well, I don't know how to explain it but I use the same changeover I use for my gen for my D2. I posted pictures for iamlammy. I didn't do another changeover. The thing is to pull it down from nepa to gen, fix bulb to it to know when grid light is back, just as I normally do, before turning on my D2 AC and switching it box to ON.
Secondly, I don't know who uses generator and D2 at the same time? That's really strange to hear.
I use my D2 like I did the generator. What I only added to it was the mouth for AC. |

nurez305: You almost got what I was asking. I plan to buy the Delta 2 before the end of the month to take advantage of the Jumia Tech Week promo. However, I won’t be able to use solar panels with it because there's no space for them where I live. So, my plan is to use the grid to charge it whenever there is power.
The reason I asked this question is that I don't want to waste money hiring an electrician to install another changeover switch for the power station. Instead, I want to use the one for my generator to power the entire house. That way, once I switch over to the power station, all the sockets and lights in the house will automatically be powered by it.
My concern is whether forgetting to unplug the charger before switching over would harm the power station. I believe that could create a power loop and cause damage.
What I’m now considering is installing a separate socket that only works with the grid to avoid this mistake. However, that would still require an electrician, which I was trying to avoid. If you read through this thread, especially my posts from December, you will see my setup. Let me reiterate, yes you can use the one for generator to power the entire house. That is what I use too. The power station is also a generator of some kind. Now, about forgetting to unplug, yes, it has happened to me twice. I didn't off the socket it was plugged in to charge via NEPA, and when I ON it to power the house, the light came on and then blink like something that wanted to die...I was like what's going on, immediately I saw that it was the socket I didn't turn off. So I switched it off and the power stayed on. Not good so as not to spoil the device. That's it. Click the quote below to see the pictures of what I wrote then: twosquare: Well, I don't know how to explain it but I use the same changeover I use for my gen for my D2. Do you want to blow the house and turn it into fireworks? While will you want to use it when grid light is available? Except it is not connected to the mains, but not all Ecoflow allow pass-through. nurez305: Oh great, it mean it can not be charge with electricity while in used?? Am I correct? |
Phones › Re: I Bought This Powerbank For 1.2 Million Naira PHOTOS by twosquare(m): 5:19pm On Mar 22, 2025 |
nurez305: please I am confused about something, since you can use it while charging, what will happen to your power station when you forget to remove the charger from socket when the power station is currently in use? I.e the power station supply the electricity to the socket that is charging the ecoflow. Will it spoil it immediately?? I think I understand what you meant. It will blink like something that wants to faint...and not good...which means it can spoil it if you are not careful. I think what you are trying to say is if you are charging the Ecoflow via solar, and you forgot to remove the AC charger from the socket, and when you put it on to power the house, it is expected for the Ecoflow to charge itself from the power it provides, right? No, it will almost switch itself off and be blinking like that, like a transformer wey get issue. I hope I am right in your question. |

CuteMaro: So deep freezers can surge up to 800w omo. Do you have any idea of Welion 1.5kw 24v hybrid inverter? Is it really up to that capacity? It comes with a 40amps Mppt cc inbuilt, surge is up to 3kw and maximum pv input is 1200w. Mine surges to 1.2 kw sometimes when you ON it before going back to 125w. So, knowing the surge your system can handle is crucial. It is a chest freezer. |
