That's true. Went to supermarket to get some things and possibly a Valentine card for my spouse.

That of "Happy Valentine to my wife" was sold out. The one with "Happy Valentine to my husband" was still in pile.

That was actually a visual fact again that men are least appreciated.

Good morning guys, please I would like to seek advice from you guys.i am not very enlighten about setting up a solar system hence my coming here for enlightenment.I want to set up a solar system on my betshop and I have a very limited budget.

The intended electronics to be powered in my betshop are,9 monitors(no c.p.u),1 laptop,2 ceiling fans(one of them is an acdc inverter fan),1 standing fan,7 led light bulbs,3 32 inches tv,3 Playstation video game and a thermal printer.

Please, how many kva system does the above equipment need.

What are the various components I need to make it work and their prices.

links of credible online vendors(not the ones that would run away with my money or sell me a bad product) that I can get each of the component at affordable prices.

I'm asking for your help cos I have a very lean budget of 1-1.2million.I tried approaching some solar installers in my vicinity but they seem to inflate the prices of most what is needed.I want to get everything needed myself then call a solar specialist to come fix them up.That's the only way I can afford this.

If a locally produce lithium battery can come into the mix for my budget range,I would appreciate it,If not I'm still ok with it.

Also my shop opens at 8am and closes 10pm business

Please your suggestions would be highly appreciated.

Thank you for your contribution.

Before I came here to seek for advice ,I have already spoken to about 3 different solar technicians offline.I think I said it on my initial post. The highest figure I ever got from them was 2m.Two of them were even lesser. One of the installer was suggested to me by a colleague that did his already. So are you guys saying all 3 guys are mad or don't know their job.The only reason I came here was that I was seeing a far lesser price online for the various components than what was quoted by the technicians.

So I'm so surprised where you guys are pulling those figures from.I am not looking for the best of the best or top of the line components.i am just looking for regular and affordable.
Of course, they don't know what they are saying. Listen to the advice of people on this thread. One thing about Nairaland ehn, you will get first-hand experience of real-life scenarios with no sugarcoating.

Please, do your homework. Do you know the watt ratings of those gadgets?

Even I, mentally, calculated about 1,600 watts for you for a start. You will still buy solar panels o...and you must overpanel for it, because of extremely cloudy days...your inverter must be top-notch....then, during the night season, battery is crucial. Start counting from 5:30 pm to 10....you need nothing less than a 5/7 kWh of lithium battery that will carry you enjoyably. Then your inverter should match your panels. That's it.

PhonesRe: I Bought This Powerbank For 1.2 Million Naira PHOTOS by twosquare(m):
So, let me journal here for the sake of others and the future who will learn from it. I used our submersible water pump on the Delta 2. It is rated 370 watts. You can see the specs in the screenshot. I don't know if anything had been changed in the pump, but the first surge is around 1000 watts before it settled at 915 watts continuous load.

The fans, as usual, came on fully, and at 100% battery, I only had 1 hour, or should I say 56 minutes, as registered on the screen. Well, it handled it well and pumped for that 60 mins because we have not had light in our compound for 4 days since the first rain.

WHAT NOT TO DO: Immediately after use, I decided to charge it since the battery was already depleted to 7%. When I plugged it in, a red symbol of a thermometer flashed on the screen continuously. It won't charge or go away.

WHAT I DID: Reset the BMS, allowed the Delta 2 to cool, and even opened a standing fan on it to hasten the "cooling". I read the solution online on what to do when such a flash signal happens. It means the internal temperature is high.

In fact, fear first caught up with me say hope no be say my stuff don pai now, upon all my partner's warnings not to use it. grin grin

So, when you continuously use something heavy on it, before you rush to charge it, wait it out for an hour or more before charging again. My submission.

So connecting 2 x 550w jinko in parallel will do the trick, yes?
Not for Ecoflow, but DIY solar systems... Not possible with that. It will fry it. max voltage for Delta 2 is around 60...amps is 15 max.

One Jinko is 13.54 amps, and the voltage is 40.99 or so...using two will just puff...

No I use a different product by one unpopular Josh guy lols. I don’t even understand that guy’s marketing, honestly.

He had no issue with me maxing the wattage when I asked him.
Oh, okay...better. When I move to my own house, I will overpanel, with proper setup. Better for faster charging and load...including on cloudy days.

BigDickProblems:
Yeah, I understand.

I do get 300+ watts max so far. Though sometimes I lower the voltage for healthy charging and get around 250watts on sunny days. That is enough for getting my battery full and using it on load during day time.
Are you using the EcoFlow RIVER 2 Max? I thought the solar limit is about 200+ or am I wrong?

BigDickProblems:
Nice and well detailed. Definitely, you cannot use higher load output than the PV input and expect your battery to charge.

What really prompted the question was that, twosquare’s screenshot shows that he is not using any load on the System while charging because the output was showing 4Watts or so. I would have wondered how on earth you will be enjoying your Ecoflow.

My 512Wh system with 3 pieces of 200watts charges my 30,000mah power bank, rechargeable fan, laptop, other little appliances fully during the day time when there is sun, and my battery is usually full by 1pm, sometimes 2pm, with all these load plugged in even at 12.6V (15% of the battery capacity) in the morning of a new charging cycle. Meaning that just like yours, I always drain my battery to 12.6V before another charging cycle in the morning, and at this time, I still plug my appliances except for my fridge.
No load on it, except the 4 watts you saw, which is the phone I use for hotspot. I plugged it in directly to the Ecoflow's USB outlets so that it won't die, already at 15% then. Not that I can't on my load whenever I want to really, but today, I did a major cleaning on the panel and changed the position on the roof. So, I got to know if there is a difference.

And it saved me an hour more of charging time: cleaning, positioning, etc.

Also, I have a question for you: How many watts do each panel of your 200 watts generate (max hit)?
