one thing can be responsible for this:there is no 3g network of dat ISP u are using in ur area .And I knw d settings of ur mobile network is in automatic mode which will select d available generation 4 u.

Like I said earlier.it doesn't really matter.U may not have to use blackberry.net(APN).try and use d normal web.gprs mtnnigeria.net. it will go thrgh. Remember to b in data off tinz
