I must confess that you are very stupid sir. This is one of the most useless and irrational posts have read on Nairaland. In fact I strongly suggest that you visit Yabaleft as soon as you are back for mental accessment. Does ur system run on some cheap Niger Delta kaikai. How could you label drivers on this thread as being lazy simply because they were not out to take you to that god forsaken place that you and you cronies went to. Did you bother to know if the offer and timing was good before coming here to conclude. Without the input and experiences of these drivers you are calling lazy you won't be here to paint them black. There's no gainsaying the fact that requests is on the decline now but it doesn't translate to one being forced into embarking on what won't pay him. So 15k trip is an opportunity to you ba? Did you know how many drivers on this thread made double that amount today? I think you are one of those irrational and entitled car owners that play god to their drivers. For the records, what will work for Driver A might not work for driver B. You put the driver in an hotel so kini big deal.

A very unnecessary line to use

The driver is providing a service, and you are paying for it. Stop making it look like you are paying him for free and doing him a favor

Before you start seeing 15k as 15billion, I've taken someone offline from Dolphin to Alpha beach, to and fro, and he paid me 15k without any negotiation

The guy's offer was 15k....Simple. What has laziness got to do with that? So no uber driver made 12k today Abi? Or going to Abeokuta to and fro for 15k is the best deal someone can ever encounter?

This is business oga.... Make your offer and whoever it pleases will take it. Dont make people look stupid because they declined your offer.. Over a thousand offline trips were done today. Your own is just one
I was just discombobulated, have been more like a spectator here, but concerned about the state of the business and wants encourage someone to keep on keeping on.

But then, it is what it always is, ghost mode re-activated. Best of luck to everyone here, from my heart of hearts.

Forget these lazy driver way full here abeg, entitled lots they are. They will just be complaining of request up and down but will fail to make best use of the little opportunity available to them. They do not know that opportunity when is comes, does look like challenge.

This morning, I posted a not so attractive trip. Not because I can't easily get an Uber or a taxi to take me/us there, but because I want someone here to just benefit from what I wanted to do today, that's why I used brother in my post.

The guy that picked me today, we just booked hotel for him sef, him no fit drive go house, that's aside the money he made. And it continues till Thursday when he will drop us at the international and local airport respectively. But a lot of people passed it by because it's not what their lazy imagination wants.

A lot of drivers in Uber and Taxify are phucking entitledled; Fahrenz and dru23 we're right after all.

Chuwaa:
See how people miss opportunities. When Farehz talks about positioning and being smart, some will eat him raw.

Ikeja to Abeokuta is 103km, to and fro is 206km. A smart driver knows that the hours of 10am-3pm are the less busy times and would have explored the opportunity first instead of dismissing and dissing the plan.

Anytime I enter uber, I try to engage them to see if I can meet anyone on this forum and I rarely do. So this forum is just a microcosm of the whole.

So my trip was a bit uncertain and I could not contact the first guy that indicated interest here till after 9am and he was on a trip far away. He was very courteous and I've just saved his number for offline trips.

Anyway I just booked a nearby uber driver and we negotiated. He knew Abeokuta and took me at 15k, I didn't want to press down the charge cos I know where it pinches.

Now a good 1.8l or less car will go to and fro with 4k fuel and have 12k without Uber or taxify cut.

Anyway we left by 10 and are back now (3pm). The roads were okay. The guy will probably continue his hustle and make 100k grin before the day ends.

Let's get something straight, your attack on Ifyalways is unnecesaary as it's uncalled for, while her advice to you is not out of line if you look at it objectively.

Having said that, I took your number so as to call and see you personal, that will help me evaluate things properly. I am in Lagos as we speak but not yet free to see you.

However, you are complicating the whole thing by spamming my mention incessantly. It was I who asked for your number, you don't need to hound me to do what I want to do.

Taxify/uber are not here to please drivers. There primary focus are the riders! is it not ironic that even in this era of low fares, pilots are complaining of low request. New apps coy are coming onboard because they still believe this is a high margin biz. Taxify/uber must turn the biz model to low margin with high frequency of riders request.
The low margin will keep potential new entrants from wanting to join the biz. Just pray that prices do not crash further. It is a dog eat dog world.

I would like to try this but it seems hard because I love food and sometimes eat 4 times a day. OMAD sounds similar to fasting ( also good for weight loss ). For fasting, you eat your first meal at noon (12pm), dinner at 6/7pm, then you don't eat anything else till noon the next day.
The thing no easy my sister, but you have to summon your will power to do it. It's not something you satrt overnight but gradually and don't look back. I have even incoporated water fasting into the show; I just drink only water for the number of days I want to fast. The maximum I have done is 3 days, next target is 1 week.

I no sure say you like food pass me ooooooo, as I am writing this post, I am in the kitchen munching Kilishi and washing it down with Yoghurt, the 4th glass so far grin . Today is just eat, eat and eat but my one pack never show, lol.

I can help you stay focused on chosen days, but 98% of the struggle is you. Also, when you think of what you want to achieve, it will help you keep up with the program.

But you do it because you want to. For me I got no choice

There are sometimes when I want to eat more than once but I can't and I sleep with a hungry stomache... it's not easy as I wake up feeling weak and depressed

Even before now I was already slim and now I'm getting slimmer. That's not what I would call a healthy lifestyle but it's not like I have a choice
I tell you something bro, the weakness and depression are purely psychological and has nothing to do with food. You need to toughen up mentally.

May good luck shine on your path now and always

As a weight loss procedure, I adopted a popular system I came across online, the warrior system or OMAD , One Meal A Day, and it has helped me keep trim and sharp, eliminating my one pack grin in the process. This was achieved after I rigorously followed it for 52 days. Before now, even my stationary bike and threadmill couldn't epp me grin , maybe because of inconsistency.

Consequently, I have adopted it as a lifestyle, though there's the occasional breaking of the rule, but I thank the Lord for the day I came across it. Most weekends, I eat and drink without limit but I revert to my OMAD as the week day kicks in.

So my dear Op, I urge you to stick to it as a principle even as your fortune improves, especially if your work involves llittle movement throughout the day, it's a healthy lifestyle. Most of the things we eat are just overloading the system and excess to requirement anyway.
