rvp2018: Manyattas are smeared with cowdung...for a reason..you won't find bugs in them or lice or worse jiggers which you'll find a plenty in many traditional homes.
samorobo: Pls don't tell a lie..I did not talk about you drinking blood culture today atleast not untill I quote Carmit on it....I was simply talking Masai Mara and her cow dung residential culture
Your mocking the maasai eating culture with carmit and then you are quick to label me a hypocrite Maasai Mara is national park in Kenya Maasai people use cow dung mixed with mud to construct they manyattas so why are you mocking them
vaxx2: This is not true. Ghana has been rated as one of the most hospitable and friendly country in africa . top 3 ( according to Wikipedia report) and this a true direction from what is obtainable thru her tourist attractiveness. regarding the infrastructure, what are you expecting from three star hotel that is missing?
Ghana 3 star hotel averagely will cost you close to 250 to 400 dollars per night excluding feeding.
That is exploitation you are being ripped off by your hotels Villa Rosa kempsinki in Nairobi One of the best 5 stars hotels in Africa costs around 300 per night
When it comes to hospitality industry Kenya is ahead of Ghana
vaxx2: first , reconfirm again? maybe this time from multiple source. most 3 star hotel in Accra are way way expensive than five star hotel in Kenya.
poor in terms of what? service, infrastructure or what in particular? be specific .
life is not so expensive in Ghana if you live by your means. there is more cash in Ghanaian economy than yours. check the GDP per capital and GDP PPP per capital ? Ghana expenses is reflecting in the system
Then you should post your sites GDP per capita Ghana beats Kenya
Yes you are right Ghana 3 star hotels compared to Kenya 3 star hotels have poor infrastructure, service etc
Kazikazi: Which year did Kenya got independence after crying for it for long time? We got it earlier than u Kenyans. You lacked strategies
Tanzanians didn't fight for independence your given independence Kenya was a settler colony many whites had decided to live in Kenya If you understand what I mean .
vaxx2: it doesn't. matter about the best. the best doesn't mean the most expensive. reconfirm what i am given you. Ghana three star hotel is more expensive than kenya five star hotel. I am willing to accept my own mistakes.
I have confirmed ( trip advisor ) 3 star hotels in Ghana are cheaper than Kenya 5 star hotels cost per night by a small Margin
I have realized you Ghanaians are being ripped off a big deal Iam not being cocky but your 3 star hotels are off very poor quality compared to Kenyan 3 star hotels
Which begs the question why is life so expensive in Ghana
Abohboy: Are you blind there was an image of the completed school building the government is considering the plans to renovate all of the buildings or to just relocate the people to the mainland
Kibera has hundreds of housing units already completed with people living with them
So only one structure is underconstruction in makoko I get it
Abohboy: I showed you the development they were doing in makoko where they are replacing the shacks with solar paneled floating buildings and they would create floating parks, schools, malls, markets etc They've created one building and they are planning on putting up a sea wall
Kibera slum upgrading is happening on the ground and some housing units have already been built and people have moved in So show us your completed structures not renders
Kazikazi: Ghana is ahead of you! Don't argue things you know nothing about. They even got independence before you because they are clever than you
You are sick Ghana was the first country in Africa to get independence So Tanzanians are fools compared to Ghanaians ? Yes Ghana is better than Kenya in terms of hdi I can't argue with that
vaxx2: You could easily do the googling.... just type five stars hotel in Ghana and check the rate compare. it to yours. An average kenya can't spend that kind of money an average Ghanaian will spend. your purchasing power is way behind.
You said Ghana 3star hotels are more expensive than Kenya 5star hotels which is not true
Kazikazi: Yah they are from both countries. But those in Tanzania are originated from Kenya. Besides that,in Tz, we don't glorify tribes hence there is no hype about those Masais. In nyerere days,we forced them to change their cultural way of life
Stop being a liar Maasai in Tanzania still maintain the cultural lifestyles I see nothing wrong with that
vaxx2: reconfirm what i posted anywhere. . check hotel rate in Ghana and compare it to kenya. Ghana is expensive for buisness ( A serious case Ghana goverment have found and trying to address.)
What you are saying is not entirely true Ghana 3 star hotels can't be more expensive than kenyan 5 star hotels which are ranked among the best in Africa yearly
vaxx2: I am challenging you to provide me any known or famous car brand that doesn't out source any of her car component elsewhere? calling kantaka is a serious offence to Ghanaian. You may need to provide evidence to support that?
Every major car manufacturers source somethings from somewhere But Kantanka and Innoson source everything from somewhere else
Abohboy: No its not 70% of the car is completely locally made the rest of it is imported from China Japan and Germany the imported pieces are steel parts, fuel gauges and other raw materials that cannot be found in Nigeria
You import everything from China and you assembled them in Nigeria
Abohboy: The mobius isn't even owned by a Kenyan it is a British man (sigh) when will they learn Anyway here is innoson motors own quality vehicles soon to be exported and large in supply
Mkenya2019: First we have 'cute' police cars too - Kenya police - simply lease cars from any car manufactures -any model - but ultimately the majority of cars for real police work are Land cruises. Our CID - plain clothes - prefer Subarus. Some traffic & NTSA (safety) have Peugots - that can outrun you on the road. The top police obviously drives the Prados, Mercedes and any model they want -
You don't import a car made for China to Africa - worse Nigeria - without even the slightest modification to deal with Nigerian climate. That is crazy. You need a car in Nigeria that can drive through your pot-holed roads, gullies and such. Definitely you need a 4WD with best shock absorber - the lest electronics etc.
A car is not a coat of paint and fiber.....esp a car for police.
Kenya manufacturers and modify cars for KENYA - TOUGHENED CARS - modified to deal with our climate.
SUFFERInSMILIIN: Breaking news This week has been total catastrophe for Nigerians. Another 2 fuel tankers go up in flames. 1 on Lagos ibadan Road and the second one at At Omagba Phase 2 Onitsha . It has been a extremely bad week for the Nigeria's especially on petrol tanker accident. It looks like now every 24 hours in Nigeria there is a petrol tanker accident. Nigerians are really suffering
Mkenya2019: Tanzania we know is one that has 3rd largest poorest people in Africa - after Nigeria and DRC. The Tanzania we know is one that HIGHLY INDEBTED COUNTRY(HIPC) and also LDC (Lower Income Country). The Tanzania we know is with highest MALNUTRITION in region. Tanzania we know - whatever indicator you pick - in East Africa - is only better than Burundi.
The Tanzania we know is big puzzle - a country that has never had war or any conflict or even rumours of one - that has little corruption - has little tribalism - has twice Kenya land - most of it arable - has incredible natural resources (gold, diamond, natural gas, uranium) - has longer coastline - has so many island ---BUT REMAIN POVERTY STRICKEN like Burundi.
At least Nigeria can explain away their issues - corruption, tribal & religious conflicts, military dictatorships - etc - but why is TANZANIA SO POOR?
When we asked you - all we got was "governance"?
The reality is Tanzanians are incredibly LAZY, JEALOUSY, ILLITERATE AND PRIMITIVE. This is the LEGACY OF CCM AND UJAMAA that continues to run Tanzania affairs and stifle it's growth.
If you visit Tanzania or hear anecdotal evidence from those that have - you'll hear or see their legendary laziness. It may take them 30mins to serve you a cup of Tea.They just love gossiping. I don't think you'll find people that lazy in entire Africa continent.
Jealousy is all over the biggest business is witchcraft and envy - owning wealth in Tanzania is loathed. The primitive belief in witchcraft and wizard is so endemic - it probably trumps religion.
Don't start on illiteracy - 95% of Tanzanians kids who finish A-levels (12yrs of education) - CANNOT COMMUNICATE IN ENGLISH. Just think about that...average Tanzanian cannot construct a sentence in English and that is official language of business & etc in Tanzania. KaziKazi having spend some time in South Africa - is undoubtedly their best English speaker. Imagine from high schools - they are taught all subjects bar Swahili in English - and you can guess their education outputs. If companies had their way - they would import professionals from Kenya, Uganda and etc.
Mkenya2019: Actually Nigeria power problem starts from lack of metering. You can imagine they have I think 3M customers - with meters - others don't have any meters (4M) - that in a country of nearly 40-50m households. You distribute power and only handful pay for it - leaving distro bankrupts - and bankrupt distro cannot pay the power producers - power producers cannot run or maintain the turbines - and you have a country with installed capacity of 12K MW unable to produce 3000MW for 6hrs every day.
The solution is easy - put everyone on pre-paid meters - and Nigeria can start enjoying 24hrs power like any country does - including I suspect even Chad or Somalia.Once the money coming in regularly from customers - distros can invest in revamping their dying power networks after repaying huge debts - power suppliers can start running the turbines again - and Nigeria can rejoin the nation of human beings - and stop being a ZOO!
But if you read what these Nigeria idiots are doing...it amazing..they keep throwing oil money on distros and power supplies...which runs outs and the problem persists.
samorobo: Better what? You mean the ones where you influence system or what... Do you even know the methodology they using in arriving at that or do you just want to talk...plus we were talking about your disgraced 7% road since independence...shame BTW I an not bothered on the current state of apapa roads and all its numerous routes , so long as they are reconstructing them I am fine
All rankings rank kenyan roads ahead of Nigerian roads If you can allow the road to your main port to degrade to such levels that tells alot about roads in Nigeria
