The officiating today was wrong.. women are too emotional.
If at all a female must ref our match, that South African woman would have been the better choice. Don't ask me why abeg.

Itā€™s the new trend and we canā€™t do anything about it sadly once they test it here and some other smaller fifa competitions theyā€™ll implement women ref fully into the main game

CIV must disband their team.

Then call all its players from the local league.

Sack their coach and give the job to an Ivorian

What else do peeps here clamor for when they are high on emotions? grin

Civ doesnā€™t need to disband anything

You make it sound as if this is yaya toure and Drogba and kalu era

Ivory Coast doesnā€™t have a forward thatā€™s on fire šŸ”„ coming into this afcon so what do you expect.

A team where midfielder fofana register more shots than attackers thereā€™s a problem

Change only the wingers and watch the team flow

That's the point..

them coming on in the 2nd half means more energy and stamina in the attack and yes since they will come on in the 2nd half and have more energy then they will fall back.

After all, it was Moses Simon's cross that gave SE a win this evening.

I don't have faith in them, I am just thinking the opposition players will be tired in the 2nd half and players like Simon, Chukwueze, Moffi can stretch the opposition more and make them more tired..

I even think it should be Simon, Chukwueze and Osimhen that should come on in the 2nd half let Moffi start..

Osimhen might be a good 2nd half player for the SE same way Oshoala is.

Youā€™ll look dead in the eye and tell me

Oyenka, onyedika, iwobi will be subbed out in the 60-65min and sub in chukwueze,Moses and moffi. Look me dead in the eye and tell me we wonā€™t loose that midfield instantly šŸ˜‚

Lack of match time makes onyedika a little iffy

We have wingers who doesn't understand basic football principles.

Don't know when to pass, where to pass, when to shoot nor when not to shoot. Pathetic.

We have midfielders who can't press, run and shoot.

We have a number 9 who is having a beef with luck.

Only the defense and the goalkeeper are above average!

This team lacks the physicality and technique to control a game.

Pathetic team!

This is the best analysis šŸ§ dropped here about our current campaign but hate wonā€™t let most people see it.
Like the 7 points doesnā€™t mean anything luck played a huge role here not technique or well drilled plans

no matter how you will put it, they can never beat us..wether come from behind or notā€¦that shows we have superior mentality over them..after their 1-0 go they went to sleep..why didnt dey switch into beast modeā€¦instead it was eagles that almost tore them apart

Bro Iā€™m talking about present and past terms being used Iā€™m not talking about the match oga

They scored first so we came from behind

So if you were a full time analyst

Youā€™ll say on air with over 10 million people watching that Equatorial Guinea came from behind to draw Nigeria

since they are starting, that means Simon and Chukwueze will be on the bench so Simon, Chukwueze, Moffi can replace them, it is football when subs are made formations or style of play is meant to change.

That's one of the problems.. the amount of midfielders is small.

So you expect Simon, chukwueze and moffi to fall back when thereā€™s a counter

Bro you have so much faith in these wingers šŸ˜‚ šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚

Thereā€™s a difference between a winger and a midfielder

Only iwobi has bridged that gap those guys you mentioned coming off the bench are disaster waiting to happen.

Nope Al-hassan is not light years ahead of Onyedika...

if not for the rubbish coaching crew and staff the SE refuses to replace.

Al-hassan, Iwobi, Onyeka and Onyedika are all meant to be starting matches.

they compliment each others attributes but the coaching crew is incompetent.

If you start all 4 of them even if thatā€™s possible whoā€™s gonna replace them because last i remember we were short handed in midfield

so how com we still draw the match..

The argument is about past and present terms
Itā€™s the terms being used not the results

If a kid in class always takes first place

And one they you match up to him and both you and the kid are first place would you say the kid finally caught up to you or you finally caught up to the kid

We came from behind so we drew with them thatā€™s the correct term thatā€™s my point

Not conversant with the rules on towels quite frankly, but I'm assuming Bassey wouldn't have requested for it and the coach wouldn't have given it if it was a clear violation. Not disputing your claim o, but just sharing my thoughts too.

One thing Iā€™ve noticed towel is no longer a thing in epl aside from home teamā€™s strategically keeping it in wait in key areas o behind the throw line

Second round of the AFCON is always a different ball game. We have seen this play out over and over. In 2013 we only managed to score two late penalties against Ethiopia to finish with 5pts in our group and by the knockout phase we saw a different team. In 2021 we finished our group in flying colours but crashed out at the second round. AFCON history has taught me that the knockout phase is usually a different ball game and I usually go on the path of history. This team can get better at the knockout stage.

We are to play the runner up in the group of:
Senegal
Guinea
Cameroon
Gambia

Most likely to be Guinea or Cameroon.
We can defeat any of these two if we play to our full potentials.

My prayer was for us to draw this match so our boys will know that theyā€™re human and have to scrap for the next stage

Because 7 points brings some sort of relaxation in the next stage and thatā€™s what Iā€™m afraid of

So far so good we have the best defensive record at the Afcon. As earlier stated, our transition from defence to attack is very good. However we are lacking clinically and in decision making in the final third. I hope to see drastic improvements in the coming stages.

How can we make changes itā€™s the same staff we have na they canā€™t change overnight what we have to pray for is for this their scrappy tactics to keep giving us the victory
