I’m actually talking about how you rate Henderson, everybody knows he’s trash even Ajax fans are complaining

Oga you’re crying for washed up ndidi so we’re in the same boat as it stands ndidi will be a backup number 6 at a big club since we want to talk about washed player

Your best defender couldn’t even cut it in the premier league and he went on to win player of the tournament

So who are you to talk about who’s washed and who’s not

What's wrong with you this man/woman? cheesy grin. "No player would last that long in Chelsea playing that regular without being a Superstar" Are you kidding me? Besides he wasn't always regular. There were seasons when he wasn't playing regularly. Sometimes he was brought in to see out a game. The man was Physical. He was a decent/good DM(i am being very generous with good), that's it. I remember when people used to insult him for his constant back passes(which is sometimes the result of his inability to create). I sometimes like to argue that he could have been better if he developed as an 8. Well, we will never know. He was never a Superstar. Micheal Essien was a better DM, yet i would only go as far as saying he was a good/very good midfielder with some superstar performances.

God bless you, mikel is very good no doubt but super star (not popularity o) he’s not

Imagine busquets brain 🧠 inside mikel body Jehovah lol

Why was Mikel not a Super Star? In one of the best teams of the game in an era, he stood strong and regular. No player would have lasted that long in Chelsea playing that regular without being a Superstar.

Mikel was just a cog ⚙️ in an engine he was never the main man

He’s a glorified role player and there’s nothing more than that

Me not calling him a super star was my error in judgment i take that back

World class is what i mean mikel is not world class
If you to talk about durability remember Jamie carragher played his entire life in anfield started games for years but he’s not world class

So it’s not how long you played

How else do you dominate Africa with 8 appearances in the afcon final and over 15 appearances in the semi-finals, common let's stop raising the bar unnecessarily, apart from Egypt, Cameroon, or Ghana which other country has more prowess than us in Africa. See am not moved, even if we won that afcon, we go still complain about players, we did the same in 2013, the Mikel you're bashing was part of that winning team, I've seen omeruo who was also part of that team being bashed here, Ahmed Musa and so on.

Nothing, absolutely nothing will ever satisfy Nigerians, let Osihmen win APOTY again, dem go still complain, that's who we are the original Nigerians indeed. phew

Na you know Watin you they talk o

As a Nigerian the i was raised to expect that no African team is better than us in terms of soccer ⚽️

Anybody can be world class

You don’t have to be a child prodigy to be world class

See salah and KDB they blew later on same with
Virgil van etc

But Neymar, cr7 and them messi mbappe are world class from youth and lived up to the hyped thankfully.

Osimenh was also world class but since he’s a Nigerian man they didn’t take him seriously and our country didn’t promote him as much

But thank god he don finally get world class tag

Omo!
So Solanke, Ivan Toney, Ollie Watkins and Rashford are better strikers than the reigning African footballer of the year?
This is disrespectful not just to Osimhen, but the entire African continent.

As in ... As a coach you would select Solanke ahead of Osimhen? Really?
Even Solanke would not select himself!

Jesus! Does this guy even watch football?
Remind me... Last season's champions League final was between Man city and which team again? And from which league?, the last Europa League final was between Sevilla and which team, from which league?
What about the conference league final?

Insane! Just insane grin

I don’t agree with solanke rating
But rashford is not a traditional but if we want to go there rashford is far better than osimenh not current form rashford o make una no wound me

Ollie Watkins I’ll pick ahead of osimenh because Watkins has been on a steady growth path since 2021 and he’s shown himself in the best league in the world, if Watkins had osimenh body and physicality it’s over for everyone.
Toney and solanke should go and eat poop

My point is banning domestic football is out of the option

Go back to Olden days fair and square trials let street boys and academies slug out on who to make the team

If for example u17World Cup is 2 years from now

You’ll start grooming 14-15 years old you

like the person whose post you are defending, take a leaf from his book and focus on current issues. Henderson right now is washed. It doesn't erase his past accomplishments not deny his former abilities. He is washed. Check Twitter and see the reactions of even his fellow English men complaining of Henderson's inclusion in the team. Picking washed players in the national team has consequences. We know what happened when we picked obi to the afcon in 2019 and couldn't utilize him due to his poor performance.

This is what i hate it’s me and you that are having a debate I’m not defending neither I’m d*ck riding for anybody

I bring point your counter you bring and i try to do the same simple

The fact that a washed Henderson will in our current says a lot on its own so rest bro

While none of your player aside mikel can play in the highest level for 5 years straight

If osimehn No give Nigeria credibility who are you to talk down Henderson and his achievements he’s more decorated than all Nigeria players currently and he’s no journey man he played a pivotal role

Why do you think Ademola and Oviemuno after attending U17 trials in London were not selected ❓

Do you know Ejaria has been wanting to play for Nigeria even before England u21. But nobody called his name.

You may agree or disagree. NFF officials are preoccupied with one thing, self interest, what they can get, not the best players.

Youth players are tied to NFF official and their proxy football ⚽ academies. So that possible development/ compensation fees can be paid to them.

Nigerian born and resident players will on account of our dire socio-economic situation ,sign their lives to NFF officials because otherwise they will be dropped.

European players don't understand that language and are not desperate. ln addition they don't need Nigerian youth football ⚽ to boost their careers. Go and see what 16 year old Nwaneri contract is at Arsenal.

The NFF is proactive in looking for selfish deals to create wealth for individual NFF officials.

A esteemed long standing contributor on this thread was justifying why the NFF coaches and officials are entitled to a share in any fees 😕😕

Finally, anybody remember Sone Aluko did exceptional for the SE , but was never recalled. I wonder why ❓

In Nigeria coaches and nff eyes why would i pick ovie ejaria and I can pick jeminu and all of his sign up fee will be shared by his national team youth coach, me and his father until these crappy selection process stops I don’t see us progressing except having least 3 break out stars in each set

the players we lose to these countries are players that have shown abilities and potential to make it. The fact that we need players does not mean we just cap any new player that shows promise. Imagine we rushed to cap ejiara, Jordan ibe, seyi ojo, Fred onyedimma and other English players that showed promise at early stages that their careers are currently stagnant. If we kept on playing those players imagine the amount of home born players we would have denied opportunities to play for us. There are hundreds of Nigerian born players in the UK who show promise but we should have some basic requirements in the quality of players we can cap.

As much as i hate to admit it i fully agree with you on this, but something has to give

Our youth system i don’t know where they pull these boys from but we’re steady going downhill since them osimehn era

Youth football was our bread and butter, i don’t know where these lapses happened that we started picking mediocre players all in the name of academies like wtf man

You are comparing Haaland and Kane to VO do you think that's reasonable.

Haaland has been offside once this season in the EPL, that in itself tells you something.

Kane has won the golden boot in the EPL how many times ❓And that's with Tottenham that's struggling to get into the top 6 in the EPL for over 5 years and cannot remember when they last won the league.

Kane has gone to Bundesliga and has destroyed it making multiple records in the process. It's crazy 25 games and 30 Goals. He has always been at the top level of the goals scoring table in the EPL for over a decade.

You are comparing a player who had had one break out season in his career 2022/23 to players who have done it consistently year after year.

Do you think 🤔 that's a balanced approach.

This is the truth nobody wants to hear 👂 😂
