How can 1 billion resolve water issue? Same Kano state is spending tens of billions on flyovers, some of them are not really of priority. What if some of those resources were channeled to providing potable water!

Yes. If all Nigerians will have access to 24/7 Band A light, more than 80% can't afford it. It'd shock you know that even some of these big Abuja politicians bypass their meters. How can you have a minimum wage of 70k and expect people to even pay 100 naira per kwh not to talk of 200 for Band A? I think the government was just in a rush to privatize the sector and so far little or no improvement

The major pain point with the power sector is transmission which is not capable of wheeling the power generated. Another big issue is the liquidity. Dangote Group not the refinery itself. Dangote owns an upstream asset company WAEP which produces some oil. Quite a small quantity compared to 650k barrel demand for their sister company, Dangote Refinery. So it's of little impact to the crude oil supply to the refinery in the short and medium term

Lol. You don't have to make use of everything you learn. Infact, it's impossible. If I remember, this method is one of the methods for solving quadratic equations. At least it has taught you some problem-solving skills i.e there are a thousand ways to bell a cat. So, when you encounter problem in life, don't necessarily stick to one solution, you're free to alternate.

On a more serious note, we tend to underrate the power of mathematics. Though I partially heap the blame on the way we were taught. Mathematics is actually the language of nature. You'd be amazed to see applications of mathematics in disciplines you've thought of. For example, do you know that mathematics is used to model the spread of epidemic like Corona virus? How it spreads and where it goes? Mathematics is the backbone of science. Do encourage/help your kids to learn it the practical way. Instead of just doing Area=length x breadth, get a tape and give them to measure a room and tell you the area. Then, show them how you can use that area to calculate the number of tiles that can fit the space. They'd never forget the concept.

You missed my point. People like you should be contacted to revalidate. I can remember that mobile numbers are collected during registration. Also, physical copies can be pasted at the PUs.

This is another way of burdening the common voter. Let them go through their records and take note of voters who have missed at least 2 election cycles, paste their names at the PU to revalidate. If they don't come for it, they are deemed dead or invalid.

The big problem is that we don't have a clear way of reporting deaths in our national identity database. International passport, NIN, driver's license.... name it.

If the INEC voting system is really foolproof, there should be no way for someone who's absent to vote.

Some of you think 24/7 power is easy to generate in a populous country like Nigeria.

The problem with the sector is not the minister,it will take the president to implement certain structural reforms to guarantee steady power.

We don't even have the money to fix it, didn't you read that FG is owing gencos over #4 trillion for supply of gas

It will cost over #15 trillion to fix the power sector of which Nigeria doesn't have.

But we have about same money for coastal road and Sokoto-Badagry road abi?

This is a good metric and should encourage competition among states. But I have noticed a gap in the ease of doing business survey. I think it is skewed towards ths big guys who set up factories and bring investments. In the states topping this list, you'd be shocked to see the SMEs struggling with multiple taxation and even extortions which do not mostly apply to large enterprises. When government embark on projects that affect SMEs like roads lasting several months , they are never compensated for the loss incurred which drains or even kill some of them.
