Lagos-Ibadan media doing their usual work forgetting thir paymaster Tinubu is worse than Buhari in almost all ramifications. Buhari was far more democratic and never intruded into the operations of opposition parties. |
"Following the GRACIOUS APPROVAL......" . What nonsense is that? These politicians have turned public jobs to favors. I'm very sure the salary is not even up to 100k, yet they want to beat drums as if they are giving people something big. The another issue is the matter of recruitment of only indigenes. This doesn't apply to Taraba only but almost all states. There are people who were born and have contributed to the building of such states, but will be denied opportunities just because they are not indigenous. This is an area where people like Elrufai stand out. He employs residents of the state whether they are indigenous or not. The 25,000 teachers he recruited were from almost all states of the federation. This is an approach that each state should take. You can give say 70% to your indigenes and allow the rest to be filled by competent non-indigenes. We cannot be shouting against the xenophobic south Africans and racist whites while we are doing a similar thing to ourselves at home. We all see how our compatriots move to other countries and become full citizens in few years but here you can spend 100 years in a place yet considered an outsider and worse you're denied opportunities. |
The concession in itself is not a problem. But everyone knows the alumni will invest for at least some profit. Thus, children of the poor man would have no place in such colleges |
Mrsoft3:Haha. Are you one? We mount ![]() |
Lol. Do these people know what $30 billion is? That's about 50 trillion Naira. No wonder some reps were claiming 210 trillion was stolen from NNPC. People dey steal but let's get the right numbers to give the allegation some weight |
Gbogboski:Not true, Sir. The intervention was across the country. UI, UNN, UDUS etc |
Let them just say they are constructing a road. But what nonsense is that it's the biggest infrastructure in 40 years? A road that is not eve up to 2km? See this CBN sponsored project in same school just few years ago costing 7billion https://www.google.com/amp/s/thesun.ng/buhari-commissions-n7-billion-abu-post-graduate-centre/%3famp

But Dangote said he paid $100 million for the land. Is that a discount? |
This ruling should be challenged up to the Supreme Court. No muslim girl should be prevented from donning their hijab. |
Ask any muslim around, 99% want same treatment for the terrorists. But the media choose to magnify the very minority like Sheikh Gumi. |
sulaak:Since 1960 have you ever heard of such number of km of railway built in 8 years? Lagos-Ibadan railway was built in 3 years. |
Typing:Although big credit goes to Buhari and Amaechi for securing the loan, the project was not up to 20% when he left. |
E don fold, shap shap |
CodeTemplar:Oil dey your brain. For example the so called Sokoto-Badagry road is 1000km and not even 10km is complete, essentially <1%. Even the Lagos coastal road that's got expedited attention would take at least 15 years to complete at the current pace. So much money been channeled to the contractor without due processy |
With this, NYSC is nearing its death |
I hope the whole 6 weeks will not be like SAED lectures. I see no point in removing the military drills and the military DG. |

yinkeys:It's highly probable that Jigawa is far safer than your state |
I don't believe this list. There's no way Mauritius is more industrialised than Nigeria. Infact from 4 to 10. Except if they are using a capita basis which is not a fair measure in this case. |
Just tell us how many kilometers have been completed? At least in Lagos section we know more than 50km has been paved. |
It is very unfortunate that the police lied. Keeping quiet would have been better. But the big elephant in the room is the FG-backed negotiations which has given the terrorists a boost in confidence and morale. 99.9% of northerners are against such sham talks. Even those ones you see in such villages are doing it out of compulsion because the govt has failed to protect them. People play their roles of informing security agencies only to be betrayed by someone along the chain, and the terrorists exert severe retribution on the informants and families. People pick their crude weapons to fight the terrorists but they are limited by firepower. Tinubu's govt has been toying with the matter banditry and suppressing news of kidnaps and fatalities. Now, it has boomeranged. |
"NIGERIA’S DEBT IS SUSTAINABLE, BUT DEBT-SERVICE BURDEN IS A Concern" isn't this a paradox? If the debt is taking toll on the nation then it's not sustainable |
Too much useless news on these crashed planes. Whether US or Russia. Mods please give us news worthy stuff not this BS |
May be it was in Transcorp. Money wastage |
I thought some people say Elrufai is the one stoking the insecurity in Kaduna. The Tinubu govt strategy to insecurity was to suppress media reportage and negotiate with terrorists, a move which doesn't sit well with northerners. And now that their so called 'peace model' is back firing, they are blaming the opposition. What a people! |
It should rather be regulations not a fee that would add a burden to the civil servants living there. Also, why not use the opportunity to build a utility scale solar power and sell to the residents? It will be safer and more effective, and also less visual pollution |
Ask any Muslim around, 99% would tell you same. Human life is precious and Islam doesn't tolerate wanton bloodletting. That's one of the reasons Saudi Arabia has a very low crime rate. A murderer or terrorist is publicly executed without unnecessary waste of time. |
Everybody no say na optics. If ministers would earn 20m monthly and do their work well without touching public treasury, I'm in for it. Everybody knows that public officers get their choppings from contracts |
peekspot:Mtswww. Glo network justice. Wait for next year when they'd buy a new set of SUVs for the incoming assembly. Shey we no know say we dey deceive ourselves with this form of democracy! |
I would love an NCC led independent investigation on this issue of data theft. I have used data in other countries, same usage pattern, but I noticed that in Nigeria it finishes faster. |
