bizbro:Three months pere. ![]() |
UrVillagePpl:Yeah...it appears more people are backordering domains now. But then, there are still days when you seem to get several names to register. I observed this during periods when I registered domains over several days. For example, I was able to get four domains Friday morning from those that dropped the previous day. I think I would have registered those names if I were registering domains that previous day (Thursday). But I could barely get two domains from those that dropped in the evening of that same Friday. |
Good morning to you all. Has a Nigerian bank automatically generated tax number (TIN) for anyone here, please? I am trying to check something. |
Theweekend:Yep, but no code needed. However, the big players can enjoy the offer every day. I received an email from them some time ago that those interested should contact them to see if they qualified. Apus:Don't know about them. But I think they're focused more on hosting. Another benefit of Unstoppable is that domains registered there are eligible for SedoMLS. Razurein:Yep. Just link your card. Some Nigerian banks have re-enabled international transactions. |
As of today, Unstoppable is the most friendly to budget domainers among all the ones that offered $5 .com this year IMHO. Their Friday offer is really worth targeting to make the most of it while it lasts. ![]() |
therealMcCain:They have never done it for me, really. I have always had to wait until the lock is off to transfer and get paid. |
Osnami:20k, wow. To a local account for that matter. People like you should be expecting a huge tax bill if this una government make its threat real next year, God keeping us alive till then. ![]() |
Obagoblog:This is one of the problems that's making me to consider Spaceship more and more. Lack of LTO at the latter is probably the main thing still holding me back. If I must accept offers, let me be in charge! It's the same way I noticed that a particular domain had one lead at a time under the Lead column but I was never informed until this moment. |
CapitalBank:Oh, that probably explains it! Thanks. By the way, I observed Sav still retained set nameservers as active after a domain expired - probably for the entire renewal grace period of 30 days. In the case of Afternic, that means your set lander (and price) for such a domain will stop showing but the domain will be indicated as probably available for purchase. Maybe there's an opportunity of getting a sale there. ![]() |
Still thinking about that expired domain reported sold by Iyke. ![]() I just observed that Dynadot typically changes domain landing page to their own after a domain expires. Add to that the fact that Afternic automatically puts expired domains in "pending review" status. I am struggling to figure out how such sales were still possible on Afternic. I want to see how I could open myself up for such. Anyone here has an idea, please?I have done multiple searches and read different pieces, but no idea yet. |
iykepromotions:Thanks. |
iykepromotions:Boss, could you please shed more light on the bold? I saw this post yesterday or so. It later struck me to ask this question during my "thinking" session. I am asking this question because Afternic usually moves domains to "pending review" and registrar's change nameservers to their default after expiration. This makes me wonder how such sales manage to occur. 🤔 |
Firefox01:Thanks, boss. I just keep getting more reasons to test them out. I think I only need to review their lander(s) now to make a final decision. Learner47:Appreciate, chief. But Dynadot? Have they changed their system now? The last I read years ago was that they credited sales lower than $500 or so to account credit (for purchases). |
Does anyone know if any of these marketplaces offer crypto payouts, please? |
gentlekeny:Yeah, I use this method (with the Gmail one only) to find leads from Facebook with the "site:" operator. This is usually my last resort, though. |
Mrblaze06:Na so o, my brother. In fact, when I tested that adding pending delete to the watchlist thing, I was even suspecting at a point whether someone was monitoring my watchlist. ![]() |
If anyone here uses Z, it might be wise to review your nameserver settings from time to time. I just accidentally found out that about a quarter of the domains I had there were using their default namerservers. Yet, I usually update nameservers immediately. I actually set default nameservers at other registrars, but that's not possible at Z. And it doesn't help that they don't display set nameservers, unlike other registars. |
Learner47:Oh, you dey add pending delete to watchlist? 😀 That thing just be like waste of time. I tried it for the first time back around when someone (Simpson?) shared the idea here. I'd keep refreshing pages to see when the domains would drop. I go just dey see DropCatch. Omo, na so I taya and went back to the old ways. ![]() |
iykepromotions:Nice tip. But I am still tentative to use a custom email address anymore, even though it feels more professional. I used some in the past. I had to stop when I accidentally discovered that Gmail had been marking the domain name used for the last one as spam in emails sent from the address. |
MrNovo:To some people, everything is not about money but helping others. I'm suspecting that's the kind of person Marco is. I sometimes wondered how he's been able to support the site without ever asking for even donations! (Well...I have not seen a donation request flashed before me). I believe he's been or is being blessed in some way to have continued all these years. And he still updates the features from time to time! By contrast, NameBio that only provides sales data had since put up a paywall despite displaying ads. I tell you: if ED required a subscription, many of us wouldn't have had the opportunity to participate in this market - at least, not for as long. I just bask in ED for the moment and enjoy the opportunity while it lasted. I don't want to trouble my head about what happens to the platform in the future. We don't need to cross the bridge until we get to it. ![]() |
haggai247:Boss, I don come again. ![]() Regarding the social media profile, do you have one for each website or only one in total? And may I know what you do with it/them? Thanks. |
DomainNewboy:I believe your domain should be eligible for Fast Transfer if it's at Name and has no transfer lock - especially a .com. Check here: https://help.afternic.com /s/article/ Fast-Transfer-Criteria (remove the spaces) Contact Afternic support if you're still not receiving the opt-in email. PS: Next time, you no longer need to delete and relist domains that you think should be eligible for Fast Transfer to trigger the opt-in process. Simple select or tick the name in your portfolio and select Resubmit from the options that appear. Then, wait for a few minutes to 24 hours - things usually resolve in minutes. You can also do this for listings that may be pending review for no genuine reason - say, after transferring between registrars. |
grandstar:The bold is the key thing I'd like to accentuate from your post. I no longer bother so much about recessions. My domains will sell when God wants them to. I only need to keep doing the best I could on my part. After all, I think there have been periods when the economy was considered good and healthy while I hardly made any sales! So, I don't bother myself so much about those things anymore. We move. |
Ludakay:As in ehn, the thing just confused me. 😂 Make people wey no get source of income come pay income tax. Naija! When some countries are paying benefits to unemployed people. tranxo:That would mean going to look for the referred legislation. No time. I only came across that while searching for something else. |
Off-topic: abeg, can anyone make sense of this?
|
Sanni45:Of course, your country of residence is your default. Contact Afternic support and let them know you'd like to receive payouts with an account in a different country. |
SyncForth:I probably used Glo at the time sef because it's my main data network. That's in 2024 or maybe even 2023. I understand you sha. For a while, I couldn't successfully pass Cloudflare verification on websites when using the MTN network. |
Johnsonclement:I think this was the reason I never bought a single domain name on Spaceship! I had been trying to remember why I decided to not use them. Support wasn't helpful when contacted back then. |
SOLD Name: San//Antonio//Pain (in king) Price: 399 (BIN) Source: ED Sale type: Outbound/Inbound Venue: Afternic HT: 8 months I contacted end-users in February and again in April when I was getting ready to round off and pause outbound emails. No show and probably not even a single response - if I checked - even though my delivery rate seemed good. Thank God! |
Sanni45:If there's a bank account option, simply provide your Grey USD bank account details. You shouldn't look out for a Grey payment option. However, I could recommend that you send money to your Wise account to activate it. It's your money. They don't charge you for receiving money to your USD bank account and their exchange rate was impressive - at least, for now. |
tranxo:Oh! Thanks, boss. I didn't know that's what he meant. I knew that already. I thought he probably meant that's a way to list Atom Premiums at the same prices on Afternic and also enable LTO there. My problem with Atom right now is not even that I must list for a price, at least, 10% higher on Afternic but not being allowed to also use the LTO option on the second marketplace. |
moneymind:The bold is still the part I don't get. What do coins have to do with Afternic? I thought you only need them mostly for Premium submissions at Atom. 🤨 |
