You should have written the source of the information so that people would believe you.

You know here in Nairaland, even when you have written the source and shown the evidence, people would still doubt you.

How much more this one that there is no source or evidence to corroborate your write-up?

But let's assume this is true, what does FIFA stand to gain in changing so much rules?

If they said that they would increase the number of teams in every tonament, that is understandable, since the amount of money they would generate would increase.
(That is the reason they want to increase the number of nations playing the world cup)

But if people are not complaining about the current rules,I don't think they would change them.

Sports / OPINION: Why Raphael Varane Will Not Force A Move To Manchester United by UbongJamesAkpan(m): 11:05am On Jul 18, 2021
OPINION: Why Raphael Varane will not force a move to Manchester United

Manchester United are hoping to sign Raphael Varane from Real Madrid this summer. The Red Devils have identified the Frenchman as the ideal partner for Harry Maguire but Real Madrid are still hoping to convince Varane to stay.
At 28, Varane is looking for a new challenge and is ready to join Manchester United if the Red Devils can agree a deal with Real Madrid.
The Frenchman rejected the club’s offers to extend his contract, which expires next summer. He could be willing to sign an extension if he’s offered €12 million a year.
Varane has been offered €7m and believes he is among the best defenders in the world and deserves to earn €12m, which is what David Alaba and Sergio Ramos are currently earning.
Manchester United have offered him that amount. Madrid wants to sell him for at least €50 million and will not let him go for less.
The Red Devils have offered around €40-45 million, but Varane will stay at the club this season if the British side can’t improve their offer.
In opinion, I believe Varane will not force a move to Old Trafford if United cannot agree a deal with Madrid due to the respect he has for them.
Varane joined Madrid at the age of 18 and has made over 300 appearances for the club and has won 18 major honours, including three La Liga titles, one Copa del Rey title, four UEFA Champions League titles and four FIFA Club World Cup titles.
All this was possible because of the trust Real had in him when he was a young boy, and the French Defender will not want to leave the club on bad terms, hence he will stay in Spain and will not force a transfer if United does not match real asking price

Robert Lewandowski is now on the radar of Premier League club Chelsea who are also chasing Erling Haaland
The Blues are keen to sign a prolific no.9 this summer to provide competition for Timo Werner
However, with Dortmund unwilling to sell Haaland, the EPL side have been forced to look elsewhere
Chelsea have reportedly lost hope of signing Erling Haaland this summer and have instead turned their attention to trying to lure Robert Lewandowski to Stamford Bridge.
The Blues are understood to be in the market for a proven goalscorer with Timo Werner having struggled in front of goal and had identified Haaland for the role.
However, with Borussia Dortmund adamant about selling Haaland this summer, with Metro UK reporting Chelsea have been forced to look elsewhere for an alternative.
Robert Lewandowski now on Chelsea radar. Photo by Alexander Hassenstein.
The Sun claims the west London club have since revived interest in Lewandowski who was the Bundesliga's top scorer last season.
The Polish striker had a stellar campaign in the Germany top-flight league, scoring 41 times to break Gerd Muller's long-standing record.
Despite his advanced age of 32 years, reports suggest Tuchel regards the experienced forward as the best option for the no.9 role at the Bridge.
But with Lewandowski contracted at the Allianz Arena until 2023, a bid of £50million would be required in order to prise him away.
On his part, the former Borussia Dortmund is believed to be keen on a fresh challenge in the Premier League and would relish a move to Chelsea.
Abramovich releases funds for Haaland transfer
Meanwhile, Chelsea appear not to be giving up in their pursuit for Erling Haaland after the club's owner Roman Abramovich reportedly releasing funds to land the Borussia Dortmund hotshot.
However, the west London club will have offload some attacking players before getting the transfer over the line.
It is believed the Blues have already earmarked the trio of Callum Hudson-Odoi, Tammy Abraham, and Hakim Ziyech for sale should they win the race to sign Haaland.
Chelsea start pre-season in style
Legit.ng earlier reported that Chelsea made a huge statement ahead of the 2021-22 season with a 6-1 triumph over Peterborough lower league side Peterborough in their first preseason fixture.
Coach Thomas Tuchel's men picked up from where they stopped last season when they defeated fellow Premier League outfit Manchester City to lift their second ever Champions League title.
With their performances towards the end of last campaign, they have now been ranked as one of the favourites to win the EPL at the end of the coming season
