Certified copy..... Just get a photocopy of the original and certify it either via a public notary, high court, ministry of education.....2. Question when u go through the embassy website you are to download the visa application form..... And fill it and sign

Alright. Thank you. I have gotten my Visa appointment already for July. I'm going to the consulate just for certification of the documents I submitted earlier via email. They need hard 'authenticated' copies. I was confused whether there is any application form I am supposed to go there with or the admission letter from the school is enough.

Goettingen asked for such as well.

I used my provisional admission letter. The consulate approved it and certified the documents.

If you do not have a provisional admission letter, write the school to issue you a document that will be tenable for the purpose of notarization at the consulate.

Alright. Thank you. I have Admission letter from the school as well, so you are saying the admission letter is enough to get my documents certified for the school right?

Good evening guys,
please i need your help, i just booked for certification of documents to be sent to my school. I have already gotten admission but the school requested for certified copies of Transcript and Degree Certificate. One of the requirements by the embassy states 'original application form (completed and signed)', please which of the application form are they referring to? or is it meant for only those still applying to schools for admission?

Danke smiley

Good evening guys, i went to some banks today to fund my blocked account today, some said form A isn't ideal since the account bears my name, while some banks didnt even understand what i was talking about. Yes i have read some people had relatives abroad that helped them fund, well i dont have one, well if it comes to this i will have it as plan B and look for someone.

Please if u have successfully funded ur blocked account RECENTLY via a bank in Nigeria and it was fast and reliable, preferably in Lagos can u tell me which bank and the branch.

Thank you

Good evening everyone, please I have few questions and they are genuine ones, I will like ur answers, contributions and comments to help me make an informed decision, especially from those that are already in Germany.
I have gotten admission already in a Private University in Germany:

1. I would need to access other funds in Germany apart from that of my blocked account for school fees and for others things, which is the best way to go about it there, do I need another bank account in Germany, can I still use that of the blocked account for extra funds?

2. Health Insurance, I'm advised by my admission officer to secure Health Insurance in Germany with the government that it is better than that of the private (I am aware of the travel insurance), can I do it here in Nigeria before traveling and how true is the preference of Government Health Insurance over the private ones?

3. It's a masters degree programme I'm enrolling for with a compulsory though paid internship from the 3rd semester. The internship has the option of doing it in another country, will my Germany Students Visa cover me for an internship in Switzerland or I will need another VISA?

Thank you

Good afternoon great minds!,

Please i was requested by my school in Germany to send 'officially authenticated copies of my transcript and Degree certificate' via post. Is it the same ss 'certified copies' done at the high court and embassy or from my university?
Meanwhile i received my admission/acceptance letter this morning, and with it i have just applied for a VISA appointment via email, thanks to the information i got from the wonderful people here.
u guys are amazing!

Although I read from time to time but many of the answers are already in the previous thread, so I don't see much importance in my presence anymore but, in the next posts, I will go through the top ten myths prospective students have about Germany. However, before I do that I will give this advice.
LEARN GERMAN!!!!! LEARN GERMAN!!!

With my sleek pickup lines I can
Make all the pretty honies my fan
Now I am voiceless like Herman
Because I couldn't speak German

I applied to 100 jobs, I no dey lie
100 calls from HRM but I can't reply
I am pretty strong powerful man
But they said I can't speak German

grin grin

I don tire, I can't go on with this.
But, please, I know sometimes it hard the combine visa hustle, work and learning German at the same time, but if you have half a chance, please do attempt to learn German to a certain level before you come.
School will be easier by a factor of 100 if you do because you wouldn't have to do the difficult jobs to survive, which means you can reserve more strength to study. This also means you can work higher wage jobs while working for lesser number of hours. You won't also be under pressure to survive. If your German language proficiency is better, you will be on top of your game in so many aspects especially if you don't find yourself in places like München.

Please in line with this wonderful advice, where can one learn German Language in Nigeria before travelling.

Extremism4all:

Immediately you get the admission letter from the school, open a blocked account on www.fintiba.com.
Afterwards, you will be given an account details. Make sure you give a valid email address where fintiba can easily communicate with you.

Once you get the account details from fintiba, book for an appointment through your mailbox by attaching the following documents:
1. Admission letter
2. Fintiba account details (a downloaded copy sent by Fintiba)
3. Passport page (International Passport)

Type your name & the Residential address then send it to this email address: student@lago.diplo.de

You will get a reply from the German embassy where you will be given a date for your visa interview.

I hope my write up helps

Thank you very much. Yes response is very helpful

Good day everyone. Great job u guys are doing here helping people, God bless you all. Its really great to be here.
Meanwhile i have tried my best going through the thread for details, its like looking for a needle in a hack stack trust me. Please I need as much details as i can.

So I have applied to Hochshule Fresenius (private university) for a masters degree in the Winter semester starting September and the response is a good one, in fact the Admission personnel sent some visa requirements documents to me and told me to seek information in my German Emassy as soon as possible, as time is running out. I have been scheduled for a skype interview next week with the school.

Please while waiting what do you advise i do that will help fast track the visa process, and what is the first thing i should do immediately i get the admission letter from school.

Thank you.
