3. Byblos, Lebanon Byblos is another cradle of many ancient civilizations. It is one of the oldest cities of Phoenicia and it has been continually inhabited for about 5,000 years, even though the first signs of settlement go back to the earlier period. Byblos is directly related to the development of Phoenician alphabet, which is in use even now. An interesting thing is that the English word Bible is derived from the name of the town, since Byblos was an important port, through which the papyrus was imported. Byblos is a lovely tourist destination these days and it has a lot to offer: ancient citadels and temples, picturesque views overlooking the Mediterranean, antique ruins and the port. Nowadays it’s quite modern city with glass buildings and full-chock streets, but you can easily see the touch of antiquity. I like reasonable combination of tradition and sophistication about this city and I‘m in love with its ancient heart.

2. Athens, Greece The cradle of Western civilization, Athens is the capital of Greece with the population of about 3 million people. By now it has been inhabited for more than 7,000 years and the design of the city is marked by Ottoman, Byzantine and Roman civilizations. It’s a birthplace of outstanding philosophers, writers, dramatists, artists and the classical style that they gave rise to. Modern Athens is a cosmopolitan city, the cultural, media, educational, political and industrial center of Greece. The historical center of the city is composed of Acropolis (“high city”), a huge hill with the remnants of ancient buildings and Parthenon. The hill has a marvelous view down the city. Since Athens is acknowledged to be the archeological research center, it is full of historical museums, including the National Archaeological Museum, the Byzantine and Christian Museum and the New Acropolis Museum. When visiting Athens, you shouldn’t miss the chance to visit the Port of Piraeus, which has been the most important port of the Mediterranean for centuries due to its geo-strategic location.

1. Damascus, Syria Being the capital of Syria, Damascus is also the largest city of the country, with the population of over 4.5 million people. The history of the city goes back to the 10,000-8,000 BC, though the exact time is still debated; consequently Damascus is recognized as one of the oldest continuously inhabited cities in the world. Situated between Africa and Asia, the city has an advantageous geographical location at the crossroads of the orient and the occident. From time immemorial, Damascus was a significant cultural, commercial and administrative center. It was a destination of local and overseas traders and craftsmen. The city is marked by several civilizations that had created it: Hellenistic, Roman, Byzantine and Islamic. The old-walled city amazes with ancient architecture, narrow alleys, green courtyards and white houses. However, the age-old architecture somewhat contrasts with the flood of tourists who come from all over the world to see this breathtaking place.

thorpido:The phobia starts from childhood, did not enjoy the love of a father he left everything to my mom the psychological effects on her is visible even up till date I can't relate well with him, he hates people to tell him what to do, his opinion is final. I have a great uncle who's wife is torn on his flesh but nevertheless I believe in better tomorrow. Thanks for your contribution. |
EfemenaXY:I include the bolden because I believe some ladies don't know their roles in a marriage, I relate well with ladies including those older than me I have raise issues concerning women's roles in marriage the answers I got it not encouraging yet majority of them will like to get married soon. The issue is only about women but also about men even the guys are not better off with their answers. I know I am too young and also not emotionally ready but I believe I need to start now together with building myself, as the only son of my parents the pressure to get marriage will be raised once I am through with my education. |
kozaic:Yes because girls really mess up my good boy self so I have no option than give them what they want. Girls love bad boys |
EfemenaXY:You have a point but don't rule out the fact that some of the suitors maybe playing the marriage card game to get her. I have witness such and men do that irrespective of their age, they will come as serious suitors only to use and dump the girl later but I don't wish her such. I understand the time wasting factor but she need to be careful, it is better not to marry than to marry a beast and since she wants to give her boyfriend one more year, who knows he may have a surprise package for her. Somebody like me will not give her any hint of proposing until I surprise her with proposal without her notice. The bottomline is she should be careful |
I have phobia for marriage, I do think something maybe wrong with me. I love and respect the marriage institution but stories and live experiences of bad marriages always freak me out. I am a guy of 25 years still have a long way to go but I always have this mindset that I may not marry because of the fear of the unknown. Each time I witness or read about failed marriages and the protocols involves in divorce it strengthen my no marriage stand, I do watch romantic movies, articles online, books about marriage and how to be a good husband but my fear is, will I be able to get that woman that I can practice it with. Most of the things I feared concerning marriage are sexual incompatibility, nagging, cheating, un ambitious lady and bad personality. I am not perfect and not looking for a perfect lady just want a lady who understands her role in a marriage. I have date many girls in the past up to this day I have not been able to practice true relationship at the beginning it was fun having many girlfriends but as I get older I discover the need to practice true relationship (my teacher in secondary school use to say that WAEC preparation starts in SS1 and I have been able to relate that to marriage and relationship) but all the girls I have tried to practice true relationship with ends up messing me up and I have giving up hope of it. I don't know if I am alone in this school of thought or something is wrong with me. Can anybody relate with me? |
striktlymi:] lol infact the op have given more tips to players like me, op thanks for the post I have always be romantic and faithful but unfortunately I have never come across a girl that deserves it so I use things like this on the unfaithful ones as long as the benefits are there |
It is not about jumping to any offer from her suitors, how long did she know any of the suitors, How is she sure some of them are ready for marriage and not playing the marriage card game ( I have witness such) Op are you willing to marry a man you knows little about his personality or did you plan to date after leaving your boyfriend. Marriage is a life commitment which you have to be sure who you are committing with to avoid future threads like I left a good guy to marry a beast. |
