BTW the news is so not trustworthy. Who is this girl? a nameless girl which no much info about her? where is she from. Just because you posted some pix and tell us that a girl did so and so and asking us to condemn it doesnt cut it. I need to be sure of what i am condemning. For all we know if this actually did happen, wghat proof do we have that the perpetrator of such crime is a muslim?
We have seen similar scenario before, where a pux will be spread in all the social platform accusing a muslim or group of muslims of a particular crime that never happened (at least not by muslims) in reality.

Christians should be baptized in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. For somebody to be baptized in name of Jesus Christ is still the same thing, because the son is the Jesus Christ. Apart from that the son is Jesus christ, the Father, Son, and the Holy Spirit is the Trinity (we all know that) and the trinity is one, I mean three in one.

The point I am trying to make here is that the Father is Jesus, and Jesus is the Father, the same as Jesus is the Holy Spirit and the Holy Spirit is Jesus. Also the Father is the Holy Spirit and the Holy Spirit is the Father. No one has to seprate them, because they are one.

You can still baptize somebody in the name of the Holy Spirit - all is the same thing. The trinity (three in one) is working together. But it is better to put the three together: I mean the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Well we all know that bible is mysterious to someone that don't have Holy Spirit. Let's ask Holy Spirit to explain to us more.

What baffles me is the fact that you do not realise how grevious this statement is which can't be biblically supported.
So far, there isnt a verse where God expliciltely lays curse on Ishmael. You are the one trying to give your interpretations.

Hagar’s Son Blessed or Cursed? (Genesis 16:10-12)

The Angel of the Lord gives a pronouncement about the child in her womb. What did God think about that child? What would his future look like?

As we look at the promises given by the Angel of the Lord, let’s ask if they are blessings or curses.

1) “I will increase your descendants so much that they will be too numerous to count.” (v 10)

The promise to Abraham was the he would be the father of many nations and this promise of blessing Ishmael’s lineage is affirmed in Genesis 17:20 and partially fulfilled in Genesis 25:13-16. Hagar is the only women in Scripture to whom God gives such a promise of multiplication of seed.[2] This certainly was a significant promise of blessing to a pregnant slave girl.

2) “You will give birth to a son. You shall name him Ishmael, for the Lord has hear of your misery.” (v 11).

How many birth announcements are in the Bible? How many are named by God? The promise to Hagar was that she would have a son and his name means “God hears”. What has God heard? He says he has heard her misery. What gracious care for this slave girl alone in the desert. It certainly was a promise of blessing.

3) “He will be a wild donkey of a man; his hand will be against everyone and everyone’s hand against him, and he will live in hostility toward all his brothers.” (v 12).

To our western ears this does not look much like a promise but maybe an insult and perhaps a curse. We need to remember that Hagar is much closer to Bedouin culture than we are. No one today likes to be called a “donkey”,yet in desert culture a wild donkey communicates freedom and the ability to survive against very harsh elements. In Job 39:5-8 God describes a wild donkey as those that go free and survive in the desert (Job 24:5 also refers to wild donkeys in the desert). To Hagar the slave, this would have been a promise and not a curse. Even though she may not be free, he promised that her son would be!

I will leave the idea of “hostility toward all his brothers” for the next post. This phrase deserves special attention in looking at what this means in relationship to the lineage of Isaac.

The Result So Far

Let me close by saying that at this point in our study we need to go beyond our own bias of reading into Scripture a negative view of Hagar and Ishmael. The pronouncement given to Hagar by the Angel of the Lord would have been a blessing and not a curse. There is more to the story, but for now let’s appreciate the grace of God to this struggling and vulnerable servant girl.

I stopped the discussion with analice cos she started speaking from both sides of her mouth (telling me Ishmael was cursed and also maintaining he wasn't cursed). Whenever Islam is involved it's difficult for most Christians to be objective.

I was in a boarding school. We were prohibited from going out of the school. I and my friends broke this simple instruction by jumping the fence just to go to the river in the village to swim and have fun.
We got there and my friends swam while I was just stuck at the bank of the river. I couldn't swim. Someone offered to teach me, I accepted and I was good at it in a very short time. We even had fastest swimmer challenge with my friends.
After I felt I was good, I decided to swim to my own place of choosing and I did. When I decided to stop, I realised I had gone for from others. I panicked and I tried to return back but it was like all my swimming skills are gone. I just kept sinking like someone was pulling me down.
To cut the story short, I was drowning and drank lots of water until someone came and pull us out ( wondering where the US came from. My friend came to save me and he was drowning too. I still don't understand how a good swimmer like him was drowning)


That's how I nearly died in disobedience to my parents and the school authority.
That was my source of phobia for swimming. Can't even go close to a water body.
