MarysMeal: He is a fanatic. To an average Muslim, this is a welcome development. How can you be so sure? You can see here on nairaland, they are all mute, they support the killing of an infidel. We are mute because the article clearly says they were innocent. This is probably because 1. They were wrong suspects or There is no sufficient evidence to prosecute them irrespective of their innocence 2. Or there is a foul play in that court and someone or some people want them to escape justice. What I find interesting is that out of these two possibilities, you only backed the second one. And wrongly usedit to judge all Muslims. That's not very objective of you. Whoever is guilty of that crime has a grevious punishment waiting for him on the day of judgement as well as those who aided them to escape justice. As a Muslim The only difference between an extremist and a moderate Muslim is that the former would want to kill an infidel while the later is in support of such an act. That's a very wrong approach. Are you a Muslim? You shouldn't speak about things you know nothing about. I am a Muslim and am totally not in support of such criminal act. May Allah bring the guilty to justice. |

It is permissible for the well versed scholar to read them in order to refute the opponents of Islam among the Jews and Christians, as the Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) called for the Torah when the Jews denied the ruling of stoning, so that he could look at it, and after that they admitted it.
The point is that the scholars who have knowledge of Islam may need to look at the Torah, Gospel or Psalms for an Islamic purpose, such as refuting the enemies of Allah, or highlighting the virtue of the Qur’an and what it contains of truth and guidance. |

1. He said he studied in al azhary in Cairo before he knew about Islam and Sunnah. . What is been thought in al azhary is pure Sufi ... That's why he knows much about them.
2. Jabata never speaks without knowledge. And anything he gives as lectures without him telling us the proof in Qur'an and Hadiths, we should never accept it. What was the proof he gave to backup his point... If he didn't give any proof, do not listen to that fatwa. And you are to use hands to rinse your mouth after you might have pour out the water in your mouth..
3. Yes, he called imam nawawi a kufar based on what the imam wrote... But the imam has repented and changed the errors in what he wrote... And Jabata has later said he has seen proofs that the imam is not a kaafir. I think you have been corrected already but you seem not to have noticed. It's kaafir (كَافِرٌ على وزن فاعِلٌ) and that's singular. Kuffar (كُفَّارٌ على مشتق فُعَّالٌ) and thats plural. 2. I am glad you acknowledge his fault in your third point. Christianity Etc › Re: Muslim Paradise Vs Christian Paradise (must Read) by udatso: 3:11pm On Nov 02, 2016 |
LifestyleTonite: Muslims believe they serve the same God of the Bible. Islam has painted him as a cruel being who burns his enemies for all eternity. Eternity has no ending. Just imagine trillions of years multiplied by zillions of years with the process repeated again and again. That is what sinners will face for their sins committed in just a few years, not even up to 100yrs. To answer your question: Burning enemies for eternity isn't cruel. It's the consequence of their actions. Below are some verses from the Quran that paint God as a sadist and awful being.
"Our Lord! Surely, whom You admit to the Fire, indeed You have disgraced him, and never will the wrongdoers find any helpers." (Quran 3:192)
"Know they not that whoever opposes God and His Messenger (Muhammad), certainly for him will be the Fire of Hell to abide therein? That is the extreme disgrace." (Quran 9:63)
"They will long to leave the Fire, but never will they leave there from; and theirs will be a lasting torment." (Quran 5:37)
"…And they will never leave of the Fire." (Quran 2:167)
"Surely, those who disbelieve and did wrong; God will not forgive them, nor will He guide them to any way except the way of Hell, to dwell therein forever." (Quran 4:168-169)
Your analogy has no correlation with what I posted. The leather used in making Aba shoes is imported from Ghana but the shoes are made in Aba.
The dust used in making Man was gotten from The dust of the earth and Man remained on earth. Which is why Muslims try to follow the laid down instructions to avoid hellfire. So you see, man didn't drop from the sky nor was formerly in heaven before being sent to earth. He was created of the dust of the earth, remained on earth, will die and return to the same dusty earth he came from.
The definition of an awful God is a God that burns his enemies for all eternity. Isn't that cruel enough to you? Kindly place a HOT pressing Iron on your belly for just 30 seconds. I bet you won't be able to bear it for just one second. Yet you claim a God that subjects his enemies to a never ending life in a fiery furnace is not an awful God. This lies from the Muslim and a section of the Christian world is what makes people hate God and resort to atheism.
I am very glad to tell you that Yahweh, the Almighty, is not the God to do such. The only thing suitable for a wicked human is annihilation, which is total destruction and no more existence. Isn't that better than billions of never ending years in a fire? Are you wiser than your creator? |

LifestyleTonite: It is very necessary to have the atheist around for 2 reasons. 1. To serve as unbiased spectators and judges concerning the write up. Okay 2. For them to see that God is not actually that awful being that Islam and the Babylonian Christianity have painted Him concerning hell fire. God isn't an awful being and is unanimously accepted by all Muslims and Christians. So what's your point exactly? So far, you are yet to establish how muslims portray God as being awful. This question of yours is asking to know where I got the talk of Man being made here on earth, which means mankind didn't come from heaven. But Muslims and a large number of Christians believe they are going to return to a place they never came from when they die.
Where did man come from? Let's hear what the Bible says.
Genesis 2:7
"And the LORD God formed man of the DUST of the GROUND, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul."
As seen above, man was created from the dust of the ground which is on earth. Another passage says man will return to the same dust from which he came.
Genesis 3:19
"By the sweat of your brow you will eat your food until you return to the GROUND, since from it you were taken; for DUST you are and to DUST you will RETURN." I have just one reply for this. Let's say for example The skin used for the manufacture of shoes by Aba boys was imported from Ghana. Can we confidently say without concrete evidence that aba shoes are manufactured in Ghana? But you Muslims and Some fake Christians believe that they will go to heaven when they die. You also believe the world will end with the righteous going to heaven to spend eternity while the wicked end up in hell fire. If rewarding the faithful and punishing the wicked is your definition of awful God, I don't think there will be need to continue this conversation Ask yourself, what will now happen to Earth after everyone has left? Many of you say God will destroy the earth with fire. If he does that, can't we freely say Satan at least succeeded in destroying one of God's work?
If He destroys the earth with fire, how has Satan destroyed God's work?
That is what the believe in the false doctrine of eternity in heaven loudly says. Why is this a false doctrine to you? Is it because of the reward and punishment or because God will destroy the earth which He had plan even before the beginning? If you say I shouldn't use the bible's standard to criticise Islam, then stop telling the world that the God of the Bible is the same as the one of the Quran. Sir, I think you got it all wrong. Let me explain this in simplest of terms. Jesus is recognised by Judaism, Christianity and Islam. Do we have three different Jesus ? Absolutely NOT. Does Judaism believe in all the things said by Christianity about Jesus? No. Does Christianity believe all the things said about Jesus by Islam? No. Does Islam believe all the things said by Christianity and Judaism about Jesus? No. So is it logical for me to quote a statement about Jesus according to Christianity to a Muslim asking him to defend it? No. Now, below are a few Quranic verses and hadith showing that faithful Muslims will go to a paradise after death where they are rewarded with countless wide eyed virgins and wine.
The specific Hadith in which the number of virgins is specified is Hadith Al-Tirmidhi in the Book of Sunah (volume IV, chapters on The Features of Paradise as described by the Messenger of Allah, chapter 21, About the Smallest Reward for the People of Paradise. The same hadith is also quoted by Ibn Kathir in his Quranic commentary (Tafsir) of Surah Al-Rahman:
"The Prophet Muhammad was heard saying: 'The smallest reward for the people of paradise is an abode where there are 80,000 servants and 72 wives, over which stands a dome decorated with pearls, aquamarine, and ruby, as wide as the distance from Al-Jabiyah [a Damascus suburb] to Sana'a [Yemen]."
(QURAN 37:40-4 : "In the Gardens of Paradise, Facing one another on thrones, Round them will be passed a cup of pure wine; White, delicious to the drinkers, Neither they will have any kind of hurt, abdominal pain, headache, or sin, nor will they suffer intoxication from it. And with them will be chaste females, restraining their glances, with wide and beautiful eyes."
(QURAN 44:51-55): "Verily! The righteous will be in Paradise. Among Gardens and Springs; Dressed in fine silk and also in thick silk, facing each other, and We shall marry them to Houris with wide, lovely eyes."
(QURAN 52: 17-20): "Verily, for those who fear Allah there will be Gardens in Paradise, filled with Delight. Enjoying in that which their Lord has bestowed on them, and the fact that their Lord saved them from the torment of the blazing Fire. The Lord will say: ‘Eat and drink with happiness because of what you used to do’. They will recline with ease on thrones arranged in ranks. And We shall marry them to Houris with wide lovely eyes."
(QURAN 55:54-59): "Reclining upon the couches lined with silk brocade, and the fruits of the Gardens will be near at hand. Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you deny? Wherein will be those houris, restraining their glances upon their husbands, whom no man or jinn has opened their hymens with sexual intercourse before. Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you deny? In beauty they are like rubies and coral. Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you deny?"
(QURAN 55:70-77): "Therein gardens will be fair wives good and beautiful; Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you deny? Houris restrained in pavilions; Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you deny? Whom no man has opened their hymens with sexual intercourse before. Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you deny? Reclining on green cushions and rich beautiful mattresses. Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you deny?"
(QURAN 56:37-40): "...We created the houris and made them virgins, loving companions for those on the right hand…."
(QURAN 78:31-34): "As for the righteous, they shall surely triumph. Theirs shall be gardens and vineyards, and high-bosomed virgins for companions: a truly overflowing cup."
Quran 78:29-34
The translation by Moshin And all things We have recorded in a Book. (29) So taste you (the results of your evil actions); No increase shall We give you, except in torment. (30) Verily, for the Muttaqûn[], there will be a success (Paradise); (31) Gardens and vineyards, (32) And young full-breasted (mature) maidens of equal age, (33) And a full cup (of wine). (34) The translation by Yusuf Ali And all things have We preserved on record. (29) "So taste ye (the fruits of your deeds); for no increase shall We grant you, except in Punishment." Based on the title of the thread and the content, I really dont see why it was necessary to invite atheists here. LifestyleTonite: First ask yourself this question: was heaven the home of humans before earth? This answer is definitely no. This is so cos the first man, Adam, was created from dust of the Earth and his wife Eve from his rib. So you see, they never dropped from the sky but we're created here on Earth. @ underlined Where did you get that from? Bible or Quran? Give reference From the above passage, we can see that it wasn't God's plan for mankind to live a short life, DIE and then go to an heavenly paradise. He created us to be here forever, without sickness, sorrow, pain nor death. But Satan came to thwart God's plan. He made the first man to fall and lose his glory, which made him prone to sickness, weakness, sin and death. To redeem mankind, God sent his son Yahshua the Messiah to die for our sins and restore us to our former state in due time. That passage doesn't justify your interpretation. @ underlined so are you saying Satan now has such power to destroy God's plan? And the Almighty God didn't see it coming? Focus on things you know. This ideology clearly says that heaven is a huge brothel or porn industry full of sexual and immoral activities. It has also inspired suicide bombings and violence by Muslims who believe the quickest way to partake in such fun is to wage war for Allah. What makes them think God will allow the abode of His throne to be turned into a sex factory? This clearly shows that Allah is not the Yahweh of the Bible. Yahweh forbids us to swear by the heavens: "But I tell you, do not swear an oath at all: either by heaven, for it is God's throne;" Mathew 5:34. What baffles me is the fact That in this whole Post, there isn't a single quotation from either Quran or the authentic narrations to butress your points. How can you criticize Islam using the Bible as a standard? It's totally dishonest of you. Same way you bought poofs from the Bible to show how the popular belief by Christians is wrong, you should do same Justice to Islam. In as much as I would have loved to engage is this discussion, from a Muslim's Point of View, you haven't really given me something to chew on. The basics of Islam and Christianity are different. jiggaz: There's nothing like licence to commit crimes here because people don't need a licence in the first place to commit any crime. Everyone, both believers and unbelievers have a conscience which tells them when they do good or bad things.
Any believer in Christ that thinks the grace of God is a licence to commit sin is only being ignorant, because sin destroys the life of a believer and also unbelievers alike. The person is just giving the devil a loophole to destroy their lives here on earth. Though the person is saved, but he will just waste his life on earth which is not God's will for us as believers.
I can see you are a Muslim.... It is well..... Thanks |
Christianity Etc › Re: Jesus Is God's Satisfaction - Joseph Prince by udatso: 5:10pm On Oct 27, 2016 |
promise10: okay.
God as an intelligent designer created man. Of which at the end of the day, they rebelled against God. *just to keep things short*
Now when they committed the sin, the sin they committed killed them spiritually by separating them from God. By the sin they committed, sin entered the world. And sin contaminated the world and brought most of the things we are suffering from today.
However, because we have been separated from God through sin, we need a saviour, who will reconcile us back to God. of which, through God's love for the world, he has offered a himself as a saviour.
Since the whole world has been contaminated, nobody was qualified to save us and reconcile us back to God.
Moreover, before we can be reconciled, justice has to be met. what is the justice? The justice is that the wages of sin is death. In other words, for the whole world to be saved, justice must be met, the wages of the sin of the whole world has to be paid for through death.
For this to be done, God from himself, created an incarnate son of himself in the person of Jesus. And for the ransom he offered to be qualified, the ransom has to be sinless, if not he has to pay for his own sins first before paying for others.
Now, God commended his love towards the whole world in that while we were yet sinner(liars, fornicators, criminals e.t.c), jesus christ came and took the punishment of our sins.
Finally, the nature and architecture of our belief is that, if we confess and believe that jesus came of God and that he died and was punished for our whole life sins, we shall be saved. it means that if my punishment was punished on Jesus, then God will no longer punish me, because justice demanded has been met. Otherwise, he is committing a sin of double jeopardy. God follows justice.
That's why the bible says that eternal life is a gift that has been paid for, by the punishment of our sins that was laid on Jesus. And that it is not of our good works, but a free gift.
if you need any biblical proof for the above, then you can ask me for it.
God bless you. Thanks for your reply. There are other things You mentioned that I would have loved to talk about but for the sake of this thread, I will stay focus to the point. So if this is a gift with no strings attached (besides believing in the finished work of Christ (pbuh) ), does that means such a believer has licence to commit all forms of crimes. |
