CultureRe: Ancient Igbos Built Pyramids! by udezue(m): 9:37am On Jan 20, 2009
The fact is that the Nigerians who have rabid hatred and envy for the Igbo will continue to wallow in their hate. Nigeria and Africa is as bleeped as it is because even when u see an intelligent man a Nigerian will kill him or lock him up just to satisfy his hate not knowing that that guy could be of benefit. Many African civilization made great contribution and that includes Igbos. Its a fact. The ones who hate us can do as they like but the facts are there to see so who cares what they think? What matters to me is how we think and view ourselves not what a group of barbaric people think of us coz we know damn well deep in their hearts they are jealous. I've seen Bini art, Nok, ancient Zimbabwe structure. Why would I try to ridicule their achievement? Its either hatred or inferiority complex that will cause that.
Well your wit has obviously been blinded so much that you live in a fantasy land- biafra that it. Reasoning with you wouldn't be any different from trying to enlighten one down with psychic torture.

Again read your question "how can ur country be fighting for it to be ONE yet easily give up a part of it."

I don't entirely support the ceding of the peninsula, but roping in a non-existing biafra, into an international legal process on a border dispute prompts me to question your sanity. The same thoughtless bunch would have rung bells on the streets if Nigeria had jumped the international court ruling and triggered a war. You would have wailed that Nigeria refused to be mature enough to give up the little region because of its abundant oil.

I won't exchange words with you anymore; its not worth it. Obtuse incorrigible cynics.
Olodo, biko u can't answer a simple question without tryna get all psychological. grin If in 2009 many "insane" people still regard that region as what it is and should be BIAFRA then don't blame them. Nigeria obviously couldn't cure that madness even with all the guns it got from Britain, Egypt and Russia. In the name of Abasi please stop the nonsense. Nigeria wouldn't have to obey any ruling if it didn't promise to handover Bakassi in exchange to get Cameroon to blockade Biafra and further starve its population to submission.

lol all of Nigeria is a peaceful country that wants no war yet killed 3 million of its own citizens. Why didn't they just tell Biafrans to go their way when their leaders declared the East independent? The fact is that coward Nigeria can't afford to go to war against Cameroon over Bakassi. It will be nothing but complete suicide. Who will fight for the hopeless country? When Cameroonian troops were attacking and killing Nigerian soldiers and civilians way back in the 90s and even in 2000s nothing happened. The atrocities against civilians went on deaf ears like nothing. opppss I forgot they are from the Eastern region so who gives a crap about what Cameroon does when Nigeria have done worse to the same people?

It is quite a fact that Bakassi was given to Cameroon by Nigeria inorder to defeat Biafra. Any easterner Ibibio, Igbo, Ijaw, Ogoni who thinks Nigeria got respect for him is A FOOL. Look at our troubled history within that entity.

LUBRASI,

Since you cannot tell us what  ethnic group u hail from kindly shut the F up and quit diving into topics concerning Igbos or any other ethnic and quit telling IGBOS what to do with their lives when we know nothing about yours. U claim to be detribalized yet you are in every topic concerning one ethnic group or the other and Igbos in particular. Since u are so detribalized what language do you speak? Do u speak Ijoigboyorubahausaefiknupehausafulaniogonibiniishanbiromidomaigalagwariurhoboisokoitsekirikataf? grin

U claim no ethnicity yet you know Igbo, Ijo, Yoruba, Fulani ppl are not the same people and u do take sides when issues arise. U talk about ur lovely OIL and claim Igbos want even though they got their own which u 'll even dispute. U try to ridicule Igbos yet you see no ethnicity. U are just as bigoted as any other bigot in Nigeria so enough of the nonsense about being the most detribalized man. I don't necessarily see a tribalism as a bad thing as long as one ethnic group is not trampling on the rights of the other. U are an ethnic bigot for the fact that when Igbos and Easterners say they simply want to be left alone you say NO. If you Nigerians are so good you won't block their way. You'll respect their choice to be whatever they want to be. Unity can never be by force.
We know damn well if there is trouble in Maidugri u will run back to your native town in the South not Zamfara up north so quit deceiving yourself.

He should leave Jang alone and fix the crappy country. Jos violence should have never happened if not for the actions of his Hausa fulani ppl.

Scanless,

Abeg ur attack on all NDs was unwarranted. Not all NDs got the same mindset like idiots like Luba, or even Kiwi whos whining about Bakana but also admitting that Bakana ppl were sabotaging our struggle. The Biafra government did what was necessary to stop the nonsense and I see nothing wrong with that. Were they supposed to sip wine and tea with them while they made their town the gateway for Nigerian savages? An Igbo village was leveled by Biafran troops when they found out that the villagers turned to cannibalism and were eating corpses of Biafran soldiers. I don't see all Igbos screaming oh lord Ojukwus plan was to exterminate all Igbos so please guys shut the heck up. You always look for the slightest excuse to justify your hatred of Biafra and Igbo people in particular. Scanless is right. The ones that betrayed their own region na double tragedy. DAMN SHAME.

While some Igbos will like to simply lash out at all NDs for the actions of some of their leaders and the dumb comments some of em are here making let us not forget about the Efiong, Kogbara, Opugo, Bassey, Archibong, Akpan, and more who chose to not be cowards and stuck to their belief and struggle to save our region. They fought and led in Biafra regardless of their ethnic affiliation. We were all victims of Nigeria's wickedness to our people, Ibibio, Efik, Ijo, Igbo, etc. We also had the Asika and Elechi Amadi who just like the Wiwa, Adaka Boro, etc who chose to betray Biafra for a few crumbs and we all know where they are now. Elechi Amadi just got kidnapped by ND militants. Good for the old hag.

I haven't seen Willy Willy make any anti Igbo comment, or say anything bad about Biafra. He is not like Luba so its not fair to lump people like him together with the hopeless ones.

Gunmen kidnap Nigerian novelist

Renowned Nigerian novelist Elechi Amadi has been kidnapped by unknown gunmen in the Niger Delta region, say officials.
Three gunmen took the writer away from his village home about 15km (nine miles) east of the oil hub of Port Harcourt on Monday evening.
It is the latest high-profile abduction of a prominent figure in the region by armed men.
The novelist has published three novels including The Concubine, which was made into a film.
His grand-daughter - who saw the kidnap at his home in Aluu in the Ikwere area of Rivers State - reportedly said no family member had been harmed.
No reason has been given for the abduction, although some family members fear it is linked to his chairmanship of the state scholarship board, says the BBC's Fidelis Mbah in Lagos.
Some in the state are said to be uncomfortable with Mr Amadi's anti-corruption position in dispensing scholarships to indigenous students, our correspondent adds.
'Debased militancy'
Nigerian security force spokesman Lt Col Sagir Musa told the BBC every effort was being made to ensure the release of the novelist.
Mr Amadi has published three novels including The Great Ponds, The Slave and The Concubine, - the last of which became one of the classics of African literature.
The 74-year-old achieved international fame during the 1960s and 1970s for his literary depictions of rural village life, customs and beliefs in an Africa before contact with the West.
In October last year Mr Amadi used an interview with Lagos-based newspaper Vanguard to condemn militant violence in the Niger Delta.
"Situations where you have a mob ready to pillage and kill, [and] kidnap, then that is debased militancy," he was quoted as saying.
Kidnapping is not new in the Niger Delta - a number of prominent people and family members of public office holders have been abducted in recent months and released after ransoms are paid.
Militants in the Niger Delta say they are fighting for a bigger share of the country's oil wealth, but the government says many attacks are in fact carried out by criminal gangs looking to extort money.
Violence in the area, Nigeria's main oil-producing region, has cut the country's crude exports by more than one-fifth since 2006.
The nation has Africa's largest hydrocarbon reserves, with more than 30bn barrels of oil and 187 trillion cubic feet of gas. It is the fifth-biggest source of US oil imports.

Becomerich,

u are an ignorant fool. lmao. Southern Igbos close to CrossRivers like Abiriba, Arochukwu, areas got a lot more in common with Ibibios than the Awka poeple of Anambra people and Igbos in Delta. Northern Igbos which includes Awka, Onitsha, and Enugu areas got a lot in common with Igalas, Idomas. Arochukwu poeple do Ekpe just like Efik/Ibibos. Awka / Enugu Igbos do Egwu Igede just like Idomas and Benue Igbos so what are u blabbing about? I know Igbo haters like you don't like to see Igbos united so ofcourse you'll try to spew any rubbish. Abeg quit arguing just for the sake of arguing.

I am Aro and Awka so are u gonna tell me that I am no longer Igbo because of the fact that I share so much in common with Idomas and Ibibios? My mom's last name is Ibibio not Igbo but then all their 1st names are Igbo and the ones who got English names will still tell you they are Igbo. I don't deny my Ibibio roots either.
