Crime / Re: 14 Passengers, Driver Kidnapped In Port Harcourt, N14 Million Ransom Demanded by UgChris(m): 12:31pm On Jul 07, 2017
ApostleJSuleman:
Rumuji Area in Rivers state is a hot bed, police avoid that spot. Kidnapping there is incessant and unabated, they will keep all, ransack their bank account, seize their ATM, and I petty for all the women their, they will continuously be raping them for as long as they are there.
This has been happening for God knows how long, u cannot pass that axis, on the east west road, without being wallayed, it's unfortunate where we find ourselves.

When we refuse to put our hands on deck and fix a society, everybody running to their different churches while your society which is suppose to be your primary responsibility is being treated with reckless abandon, this is what you get. .. And nobody is safe as it comes back to hunt all of us. Absolutely everyone of us.

You are absolutely right my brother. One of our staff was shot dead at that same location. It is best described as a den of cultist and robbers. Worst of it is that they do not even fear SARS team let alone Police.

God will continue to save us!
Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Should A Bsc Holder Accept A Job Of 40k Monthly? by UgChris(m): 2:08pm On Jan 16, 2017
Justnora:
You said you are leaving alone you have to consider alot like your house rent, transportation, feeding etc. Even as a single guy dating yourself 40k is small.

Salary for a graduate should be in hundreds not thousands but due to the wicked nature of Nigerian employers and unemployment in Nigeria they offer small change with heavy workload.

You ended up not advising him. Nigerian Economy is one where those at the top want to remain there even at death. It makes it difficult for our young graduates to have a well paid job.

At the Op, you should make due with the pay for a start. I once did a job with salary of 20k as a fresh graduate at Gbagada with one Insurance company before God opened my way to where I am today. I believe there could be other incentives that may come your way to boost that pay. A lot of people are on that amount as their Basic Pay but with incentives more than 60k at the end of the month.

When the desirable is not available to help you, you make the available desirable to sustain you. Just get started and you will hammer one day

Investment / Re: MMM Runs To Kenya After Swindling Nigerians. Promises 40% Per Month by UgChris(m): 3:42pm On Dec 15, 2016
lustychima:
You got into many relationships that never worked, and no one is mocking you in public. You got into a marriage that crashed, yet your friends are not on facebook celebrating your pain, and you haven't killed yourself yet. Your many attempts at businesses have failed and you lost money, yet you are still alive. You have taken many risks that never paid off, yet you are still moving on with hope.

Now you advised your friend not to do MMM, but he went for it anyways. MMM is frozen for 30days, atleast so we heard, and you find joy in taking to facebook to mock your friend JUST TO BE PROVED RIGHT. Same way you pray for the failure of the government you didn't vote for JUST TO BE PROVED RIGHT.

I have taken time to read the MMM freezing report, it is a shame that you have decided to take that report out of context, add salt and pepper, just to cause panic and unnecessary tension. Many people have fainted because they read your false version of MMM story. Will you also celebrate on facebook if they commit suicide tomorrow on account of your mockery?

Even if they were careless in taking risk with MMM, must you add to their sorrow?

Don't you have any conscience sire? Are you not a hypocrite?

If that young man came to you for help, even to borrow money before MMM, would you have given him? How many of you have helped poor people the way MMM has in the last year(i speak based on the testimonies in the mouth of Nigerians). In October i met a young man in Port Harcourt who moved from someone's house as a squatter to a one-bedroom apartment and i still remember the joy with which He glorified God for MMM. How many people have glorified God for your help and support, STINGY YOU!

There is a high level of moral bankruptcy in this nation. People are more willing to celebrate the pains of fellow Nigerians than anything else. It is the same reason they go to accident scenes, and their first impulse is not to help but snap and post gorry pictures on facebook to extract AMEN from people.

If you know you have never done things that failed in your life, then continue mocking your MMM friends.......

My name is chima lusty and i hate hypocrisy!

You should say "copied" as you are not the originator of this write up. Putting your name and not quoting the writer or where you culled it from is called plagiarism

On MMM Issue, Life is all about risk and it takes a bold heart to take a risk. I believe you should have the heart to neglect whatever anyone on NL will write about MMM having initially taken the risk solely.

[b]Oga, you don't need to salue Clinton for conceding, it's nothing special to them, it's a normal thing over there.

You only conceded because you never had a choice knowing fully well that you lost inside Aso Rock adn the northerners could kill you inside and also seeing what happened to Laurent Gbagbo.

You could be the Hero of the people who you failed to build their second Niger Bridge, it's nobody's business

I can't believe this level of hatred will linger this long. GEJ era is over and he has moved on with life. Since you hated him with passion and wouldn't want to see or hear people talk about him, what a sane person should have done is to shun the post and mind his business.

No need for highfallutin logic.

A congratulatory call is just what it: a congratulatory call.

A congratulatory call depicts a sense of sportsmanship which our politics needs at the moment. I am trying to see how a call made in good faith can nullify or even diminish the probability of the other party in seeking a redress.

Politic should not necessarily be too formal a game played only by stolid and unpliable players.

Buhari should learn to free himself from being unduly uptight.

This plausible explanation by Lai Mohammed is just self- serving...

I quite agree with you on the bolded. PMB could not hide his joy that GEJ called him to congratulate him even when the result was officially unannounced. The winner takes it all is what we are seeing today. Quite undemocratic.

Romance / Women Deserve More Than Love, Every Husband Should Read This by UgChris(m): 12:54pm On Jul 15, 2015
I came across this post and feel like I have to share it here as my first post on this section. In my opinion, they are nothing but facts. If there are other points, feel free to share as I am willing to learn...

“Love her …when she sips on your coffee or tea. She only wants to make sure it tastes just right for you.

Love her…when she "pushes" you to pray. She wants to be with you in Heaven.

Love her…when she asks you to play with the kids. She did not "make" them on her own.

Love her...when she is jealous. Out of all the men she can have, she chose you.

Love her…when she has annoying little habits that drives you nuts. You have them too.

Love her…when her cooking is bad. She tries.

Love her…when she looks disheveled in the morning. She always grooms herself up again.

Love her…when she asks to help with the kids homework. She only wants you to be part of the home.

Love her...when she asks if she looks fat. Your opinion counts, so tell her she's beautiful.

Love her…when she looks beautiful. She's yours so appreciate her.

Love her...when she spends hours to get ready. She only wants to look her best for you.

Love her…when she buys you gifts you don't like. Smile and tell her it's what you've always wanted.

Love her…when she has developed a bad habit. You have many more and with wisdom and politeness you have all the time to help her change.

Love her…when she cries for absolutely nothing. Don't ask, tell her it’s going to be okay.

Love her…when she suffers from PMS. Buy chocolate, rub her feet and back and just chat to her (this works!).

Love her…when whatever you do is not pleasing. It happens and will pass.

Love her…when she stains your clothes. You needed a new shirt anyway.

Love her…when she tells you how to drive. She only wants you to be safe.

Love her…when she argues. She only wants to make things right for both.

Love her…she is yours. You don't need any other special reason!!!
All this forms part of a Woman's Character.

Women are part of our life and should be treated as the Queen.
• Treat the women well.
• The best of you are those who are the best in the treatment of their wives.”

Ladies you can contribute as well.

belzabull:
As a bonafide ogwashi-ukwu daughter from Anioma and a thorough bred Igbo girl, I concur absolutely with the op.

The SE-SS dichotomy is an evil ploy by the 'born to rule' to alienate Igbos from their siblings and to emaciate the Igbo territory using their divide and rule tactics particularly after the civil war. Fortunately or unfortunately, some fools fell for it after they were brainwashed that igbos were after their oil.

The question some of them can't answer is how well have they fared under northern rule?. The lands in the Niger delta has been 'raped' beyond control, environmental degradation, gas glaring, land pollution etc etc and its people left in neglect, while the bulk of of the oil proceeds are carted away to the north mostly to private pockets. The same people who contribute virtually nothing to the national treasury, yet they want to continue their domination with the aid of their willing slaves from the south

I doff my hat for you for your line of thought. The problem with them is that hatred will not let them allow the SE-SS to stay.
