rinzaugustine: Trump has set up a task force through USCIS comprising of mostly lawyers to look at how the passports of around 20 million naturalized american citizens can be revoked. Some have had their passports revoked for the simplest of things like a lady that didn't admit she was gay in her 1989 application,an indian for an intentional mistake on his first name .. and so many other very minor infractions.Read The New Yorker of 18th JUne 2018 with the title In America,NATURALIZED citizens no longer have an assumption of permanence regardless, revocation of citizenship is not what is done by the snap of a finger. if the route you took to get the passport is straight, nothing to gear |

Teacher1776: Well, while living separately isn't the ideal thing for you kids, I must say I admire you for for trying to be a part of your daughter's life. And it paid off of course. Just hoping you won't take advantage of this to completely pull her out of her mom's reach. Irrespective of how you feel about the child, she has more right to keep the child than you have, and I GUESS you understand that too. No matter what you feel, she needs her mom more that she needs you, especially as she is a girl. So don't feel like you have won a trophy. Have a nice day Look at this man "she needs her mom more than she needs you " Na wa |

adorable29: "As a broke college student I told her I’m not ready for anything extra now other than graduating and getting my life together. So it was tough"
You left her to suffer and go through it alone because YOU wanted to get your life together. Your own family not even having any idea for two years goes to show where you placed the baby in your "untogether" life. Typical and selfish. Shebi her own life wasn't worth "getting together" especially as she was the one going to go through the major pains of pregnancy and childbirth. No wonder she treated you that way.
Now you are ready to be in your child's life, it is a good thing and just enjoy the baby you initially abandoned but quit making it seem as though you were the angel and your ex the devil. There are two sides to a story. I was expecting this Nairaland females never disappoint |

DonPiiko: Yes there do, but sometimes countries passport are looked down upon. Nigeria happens to fall into such a category, Atiku is a fugitive as far as the United States is concerned, once he sets foots there he will be arrested, if a serving congress man of a developed country can be jailed, what's the big deal in jailing a former vice president of a developing country, who perpetuated corrupt acts. You cannot arrest one with diplomatic passport It's a travesty |

DeRay98: A lot can happen to or for a hard working and focused person in 4 yrs anywhere in the world, including Nigeria. There are many Nigerians who were struggling to eat 4yrs ago but are silently and honestly millionaires today. My born of contention with some Nigerians who believe that if this had happened in Nigeria, them go say na "jazz". 4 yrs ago Iwobi, Iheanacho, Ndidi were U-17 boys in academies and FIFA U-17 world champions except Iwobi but today, they are playing in the world Cup win or lose their names are marked in history. Forget about jazz, hard/smart work and dedication to your vision and purpose will attract the attention God to bless you labour with fruitfulness. The jazz angle tho A lot of youth these days believe that one cannot make it in Nigeria without scam or jazz While we know that is not TRUE, the environment is not conducive and is choking, hence the belief One just has to hustle hard AND smart. |

Even if its true, it poses no threat whatsoever because the entire population of Niger is not up to the population of Lagos plus ogun, What the main problem is, is the political apathy in the south. If political participation is as high in the south as it is in the north, if they like, let them import whoevrr, it will not matter much In the mosques they encourage them to participate politically, while the pastors are sleeping (well most of them) Nigeria sef |

Travel › Re: London Vs Ikoyi/vi/asokoro/maitama/Lekki by Ugosample(m): 7:28am On Jun 18, 2018 |
Mille: He is not comparing London to "many cities in Nigeria". I believe he specifically mentioned 5 places in Nigeria and a parameter, the crime rate (security) of which he is 100% correct.
The killings and Moped attacks may not be "usually like that" but it still shows London is less safe than Ikoyi or Victoria Island. I could also argue based on your defense that Maiduguri is a safe city since terror attacks were also "usually not like that" and the killings are high for a fact.
I haven't lived in Maitama while I have only been to Asokoro thrice. But I schooled in VI, Worked at Ikoyi and yes, Lekki is my hometown (Yes, hometown. Don't be surprised ). So I can speak for these places.
I live in Germany and I have been to London a couple of times, and I can boldly say that in terms of Security (crime), these 3 areas are much better than London, Paris and Frankfurt. The comparison is very stupid. He us comparing 5 enclaves to an entire city Why not compare the crime rates in highbrow Lagos/Abuja to the crime rates in highbrow London? Rubbish comparison |
