One thing attracted me in that story. So SA money has more value than Nigeria money.

37,340rand=1m + naira.

Please someone should enlighten me.
For at leadt 20 years, the rand has more value than naira

The more I see these old people, the more I pray that GOD should relocate my family and I to a country where my children will not just exist but live a life.
Where the life of human beings are valued.
A country where they will enjoy the fruit of their Labour.
A country where the youths can be a leader and their voice heard.
So help me GOD.
Nigeria is one hard country I tell you

If you are not in that privileged circle, it's going to take a lot of work and fighting to break out of the yoke of poverty.

Removing him rests with the national assembly.

A young senior executive at shell can never lose his girlfriend to wizkid for money.

Wizkid may be richer, but the senior exec has enough success, money, and societal respect to keep his girlfriend in his pocket and ensure her loyalty.
That executive is fooling himself

Even wives of directors (well Some of them) are serial cheats.

This thing is not straightforward

It can happen anyhow
Business › Re: Foreign Direct Investment To Nigeria Fell By 21% To $3.5 Billion In 2017 by Ugosample(m): 9:35am On Jun 10, 2018
In Nigeria's case, FPI increased but FDIs reduced

Now this is the case because for FPIs, when shit hits the fan, you can run with minimal scars, but For FDI, when shit gets real, you will be sorry for yourself, that's it.

They are wary of the macroeconomic stability of our countries, especially Nigeria.

Stability and Sound policies will see both FPI and FDI figures soaring through the roof because Nigeria has a vibrant market

But this government sef undecided
Christianity Etc › Re: Why Do People Go To Church And Still Go Other Places For Solutions? by Ugosample(m): 9:24am On Jun 10, 2018
Omooba77:
Why do people go other places like herbalists and palm readers; even after praying in church?
Is it lack of faith?
Because that is the default setting of Africans LMAO grin grin grin

Always looking for quick fixes, which I think is borne out of low self esteem I.e. you cannot achieve anything without hard work and dedication without "spiritual help"

thats the secret of genuine RICH people and not the fake a$$ people we have in naija. They will be doing like god when ordinary 10m is in their account.

Successful rich people live broke, they don't buy expensive wines in club, expensive chain, expensive watches, expensive cars and every enticing shitts that will make a poor guy wants to commit suicide thinking God isn't on his side.
I think it's more of the personality

Donald Trump is a billionaire, and he is LAVISH

Same with Larry Ellison And others out there

But the difference I think is that in Africa, people tend to be lavish to show off to the vastly poor population that they are better than them i.e. oppressing them, hence the resentment against the "rich" and bragados in the African society

Today, technology have given us a weapon powerful enough to end life as we know it by just the flick of a button, I doubt religion have ever being that powerful or threatening throughout history.

Let us be objective, anything can be misused and abused given the wrong application, technology and religion are suitable examples.

LordAdam16:
Egyptians were mixed, not black. Ethiopians were respected by the Assyrians, Persians, and Romans. They didn't pursue too far out militarily, so they were never taken as existential threats. Even the Nubians took black slaves from surrounding black societies around them. The Bini king in time past were buried with the heads of up to 2,000 captured slaves. Slavery is slavery. Whether inter-racial or intra-racial, it is bad, it has been abolished, and we have to move forward.

Napolean went to Egypt and was awed. The Brits went to India and were awed. The Brits/French/Germans came to sub-Saharan Africa and were embarrassed. Even the Spanish who landed in South America had better things to say about the native population than their contemporaries had to say about sub-Saharan Africa.

So the Europeans ransacked Africa, Asia, the Middle East, and South America at about the same time. 100 years later, only Africa is struggling at the bottom, and yet you want them to respect you?

How? Why?

Respect is earned. And collectively as a people, we have done nothing in the past to deserve any respect. We are doing nothing at the moment to deserve any respect. That's why we've become professional protesters. We are great at giving speeches and pointing out the frailties of the white man, but we have no solution to the Malaria epidemic. We can't seem to know how to curb the despicable situation where aid for refugees is sold in the open market.

And that's the fact. The problem of the black race is the Black Man's inability to work together with fellow Blacks for the collective good of the black community. Individually we are excellent, collectively we are abysmal. Until we work on ourselves more than we concern ourselves about what others think of us (unfairly or not), we'd always be at the bottom.

-Lord
You hit the nail accurately in the right spot.

Last year around this period, mums salary was just around the 90k zone as a nurse in Bayelsa state, Mr Dickson owed them for months (still owing). Later that month the government mistakenly paid in about a million naira or so into her account, she called me asking what to do, I asked her to report and return the money, which she did. Still owing her.

Around July, hospital management board cancelled her appointment (sack). Still owing her.
So much for hardwork and honesty.

August she got sick, still owing her

April 2018 she died, still owing her.

This is Nigeria!
I'm so sorry for your loss embarassed embarassed embarassed

Reason why I made that point is because throughout history, white people have sabotaged and continued to derail every positive attempt we make at moving forward. How many of our upright and sound leaders have been assassinated just because they refused to sell out.
The fact is, the whole world does not want the black man to succeed but by God's grace (whatever God you serve) we will rise again.
Excuses upon excuses

WHO were instrumental to deposing African leaders who were considered progressives? huh

Their fellow Africans

And besides this is the 21st century, is this the excuse we will still be giving
