You're entitled to your opinion and political affiliation, but as for me, I support Peter Obi with my full chest.

Now that almost all the political parties have nominated their presidential flag bearers, the next factor that can make or mar the chances of any presidential candidate is the VP candidate.

Atiku Abubakar of PDP may likely go for Nyesom Wike so as to get majority votes from South-South, since South Easterners would likely vote for Obi and South Westerner, Tinubu.

Rabiu Kwankwaso, a Northern Muslim would have made a good pair with Peter Obi, but each of them wants to be the president. So Kwankwaso needs a Christian from the South to become his running mate.

Peter Obi of Labour Party, being a Christian from the Southeast needs a strong Muslim from the North to be able to get some northern votes. But I fear that any influential northerner he goes for may be threatened to decline the offer. However, I'm hoping he chooses either Sanusi Lamido or Nuhu Ribadu. Though Borno State governor wouldn't be a bad choice if only he can decamp to LP.

Bola Tinubu of APC will face the biggest challenge choosing a VP candidate as he is a Southern Muslim. He needed a Northern Christian to run with him to balance the equation, but no northern Christian can win enough votes from the north. I guess that was what the cabal was trying to avert when they were gunning for Jonathan or any other Southern Christian to become the APC flag bearer, but Jagaban in his desperation wouldn't let that happen. I also learnt Asiwaju promised the northern APC Governors the VP slot if they would support him win the party primary. But the million dollar question is, will Nigerians support a Muslim-Muslim ticket? I know some of his supporters will tell Nigerians that Tinubu is almost a Christian for the fact that his wife is a Christian, but trust me, choosing a VP may be APC's biggest undoing in this 2023 race.

With INEC one week mandate for all political parties to submit the names of their VP candidates, the coming days will be very interesting to watch. We will keep our fingers crossed.

Yes, Tinubu will run with Muslim-Muslim ticket, this is the fact. It's no doubt setting a bad precedence but it needs to be done so Tinubu can defeat Atiku in the North. His running mate will be Governor Ganduje of Kano, another progressive forward thinking detribalized Muslim that developmentally transformed Kano to the Lagos of the North, both in terms of economy and social infrastructure.

Ganduje was also the only Northern Governor that supported anti-grazing laws in the South by Southern Governors. He spoke for the need for herdsmen to modernize into ranches to prevent further killings by herdsmen/farmer clashes and prevent the situation from degenerating to an ethnic war of North vs South.

Muslim-Muslim ticket of Tinubu/Ganduje is 1 trillion times better than 16 years of Fulani rule - 8 yrs Buhari (a debilitating catastrophe) followed by another 8 yrs of Atiku, a fanatic herdsmen miyetti Allah sponsor and Sheik Gumi friend.

Imagine what Atiku will do as president. The killer Fulani herdsmen will be emboldened to continue their killings across the country with presidential backing. This is the bitter truth. Sheik Gumi will probably become Minister of Bandits under Atiku.

Well, in case you have not observed, Tinubu did not win the primary because he was the most qualified in the contest, he won by blackmailing Buhari and other he claimed to put in power, he won by sharing dollars. If observed Buhari's body language, he wasn't happy with Tinubu's emergence, even his wife. Tinubu's chest-beating will be one of his greatest undoing. I can tell you for free that who the majority of the northerners will vote in this election is Atiku, then Kwankwaso. They won't mind letting APC sink because of Tinubu.

Talking about sharing of money, it may work well in party primary, but general election is a different ball game, more so in this crucial time that Nigerians have suffered so much in the hands of Buhari-led government.
Trust me, 2023 election will not be anything like the previous ones, there is going to be a paradigm shift.

Here is my analysis for the 2023 presidential election.

With the primary election of major parties already concluded, we can see that we just have 3 or 4 major contenders in this coming election namely: Atiku, Tinubu, Kwankwaso and Obi.

Atiku & Kwankwaso are northerners, so northern votes will be split between Atiku and Kwankwaso, no block votes would go to either of them.

Tinubu and Obi are southerners, though Asiwaju has money to throw around, that doesn't negate the fact that he is an old, sick man who is not marketable by any indices, so he's a bad market for the party and region (for those who still want to vote along regional lines).

Note that the three aforementioned candidates are Muslims, so those that want to vote along religious line, Muslim votes will be divided among the three of them.

Peter Obi on the other hand is obviously the most competent and qualified candidate, ethnicity aside. No sane Southerner will leave a healthy, educated, prudent, well-tested, well-exposed Peter Obi to vote for Asiwaju. Though Tinubu's ill-gotten wealth can buy him some votes but a vast majority of Nigerians are wiser now. If you play religious card, Obi is the only Christian candidate among the 4 top contenders, so fellow Christians will vote for him.

Let's analyze the Southern region further.
South-East is 97% to 100% for Peter Obi.
South-South is 60% to 80% for Peter Obi.
South-West, the Yorubas are learned and exposed, so they will not all blindly vote for Asiwaju because of money and tribal sentiments. Also remember that Igbos rank second in Southwest aside from Yorubas in terms of population, so Peter Obi can get 50% to 55% from there, if not more.

When it comes to campaigns, presentation of manifestos, Peter Obi will shine brighter than all the other aspirants.

What about the Middle Belt? They have suffered enough casualties in the hands of the Fulani-led government and therefore will likely vote for Obi who is neither from the north or from the party that has brought them so much misery.

So when the ethnic and religious votes are counted out, the remaining votes will go to Peter Obi, and that will give him the edge to win the 2023 election.

So based on this analysis, His Excellency, Mr. Peter Obi should start writing his inauguration speech.
