xp17: @ujsizzle, what is the name of your church? I don't mind being an usher. Already have volunteers without a church..,the Lord is wonderful @Dagr8 CCIM? Really? God help you ![]() |
Matthewbriggs: Have you considered becoming an evangelisthuh? No. I'm sure there are those who believe it's their calling, I don't ![]() |
ATMC: @ uju...smh in resignation...I'll try to ignore him. How yhu doing na?That's the spirit. I'm fine, thank God ![]() |
Reyginus: No one is going to fight here. Logicboy, though older in real life, is my younger brother online.Ok na. Enjoy and keep sharing blood. |
No fighting guys, pls? ATMC thanks hun. You and LB will have to settle this your constant irritation with each other. A bit of tolerance perhaps? Mintayo Thanks |
xp17: help needed!Hi. I've been there. The first thing you need to do is figure out why you can't pray or study the bible. Is it something you read, watched, heard? Or you just don't "feel" like you used to about Christianity? Figure that out. Secondly, I don't see why you don't want to go to church, but you can always listen to sermons on tv or try podcasts. I've found those to be a good substitute. Also try read Christian books too. You don't want to stay totally out of touch. Alternatively you can visit websites of Christian writers. Spend more time listen to others talk about God and Jesus, and think about the disconnection you feel. Tell yourself the truth while you're thinking. Then you need to have faith that God hears you. No matter how hard praying seems now, still go on your knees and spill. I mean spill literally. Rant, rave, tell God exactly what's going on like you would your mum and ask for help. Trust me, you'll get it. The most important step however is for you to pick up an actual bible and read it. Don't worry about the words, God will speak to you like he did me. Don't worry about it feeling right, and remember that God says he's got you and has no plan of letting you go. Push yourself. You'll never get anything done if you continue to wonder why you can't do anything. Blessings. |
Abraham2013: Wat were u doing noticing all d hotels and ashawo 4 d town dats was am asking? What were you doing noticing a bus parked by the side of the road, or the numerous banks lined up on a street? If you're going to ask silly questions, at least pretend to be sensible. Two strikes is hard to ignore ![]() |
Very nice FP topics today I played to my heart's content, and intend for my children to also Wait, who even born me to lock them in? If they are anything like my siblings and I, they'll probably find a way to make that playtime work eg. frustrate the neighbors till they beg the parents to let them out My cousin plays like she's crazy, but that girl is so intelligent and smart I can't tell what planet she fell out of ![]() |
No dulling for Alaba boys. I wonder what took them so long with the useless ban ![]() |
nairaman66: I finally realized you get crucified in Nigeria for saying the truth. I served in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State, the place is nothing but a shithole.. Forgive my language. Welcome to the New Age ![]() |
Abraham2013: Plz how come u entered bayelsa and d only gud tin u noticed was d hotels n ashawo? just curiousBecause it was glaringly obvious? ![]() |
maclatunji: Thank you for your interest, I will send you PMs. I will elaborate after I get a response from you. I am not sure of Nairaland's mail system's delivery or policy that guides who can receive mail from who. You're a mod, your mails will be delivered to members except other mods(in which case you both have to be following each other). Anyway, my email is my moniker @gmail.com |
If it's print then it's good. |
Print. Audio don't do it for me, and digital gets me bored senseless(Inferno can attest to this). |
maclatunji: No, but you can write about children if you want or even stories for children but at this stage, we are not thinking of books. However, we are open to any number of ideas or possibilities taking one step at a time.OK. I'd like to know what it's about, so maybe you can forward that mail too my box too. |
iLove! Great lyrics, awesome vocals ![]() |
Iceman296: Your comment here reeks of Ignorance. Every state in Nigeria has its own Ills, so dont single out bayelsa like there's nothing good that can Come out of it. Atleast they produced the Current President of the Federal Republic and their people hold Strategic Positions.Very touchy people We are discussing Bayelsa here, not Abia. When there's a thread for Abia I'll talk about what I've observed there too. Until then, take this in good faith and believe im not trying to bash any state. |
meryl4merit: Miss make ur comment without insult.... its a developing teenage state.... And u cnt call us prostitutes, its everywhere for ur info, if u don't hv anyfin gud to say shut up.And here they come Since when did saying the truth become insult? Of course there are prostitutes everywhere as well as there are decent people too. I just happened to find a higher proportion of the former than the latter. No need to take offense hun, I'm sure the good Lord will visit the people of Bayelsa just like he did many other states. |
This is quite easy. Get her to listen to another preacher who says all those stuff are good, and voila you'll have your wife back ![]() |
Great write up! I find number 3 to be very true, and the 80-20 principle works just fine. Do less, achieve more. No need to end your life just because you're trying to make ends meet. I particularly like how all the points here are very interrelated In summary just Live, and live as best as you can. |
Bayelsa has to be the worst state I ever walked into. Their infrastructural development is really poor. Wealth distribution is nothing to write home about. Standard and cost of living in Yenegoa sucks big time. And their government? The government is the worst thing to have happened to that village state. Bayelsa is in need of deliverance from the clutches of bad governance ![]() The only thing I can see Bayelsa boast of is hotels (hear Mama Peace owns most of them) and prostitutes. |
I don't get why there should be a single rule guiding how a family should be run. Everyone should just do what works best for them please. All this feminism talk is really tiring ![]() |
Like Whitemosquito said, people need to be careful what they say Amen to I've heard some of the weirdest prayers sha. One day someone said, may everything that died in your life be resurrected, and I was like seriously? Some people say I don't pay attention when prayer's going on because I open my eyes and stare at whoever is praying. Why should my eyes be closed if nothing is distracting me again Anyway I've seen weird shiit in church sha.....the length we go to make some money is appalling as well as hilarious. |
Emmanuelclean: Ma question z.a pastor z bouh 2 strt fasting and he announces it in front of d congregation saying he wil b strting z fasting tomorrow dat duz wo ve ani problem shuld write their prayer request down nd attach to t some token depending on the weight or heaviness of their prayer point..Hi Could you not type like this next time pls? It makes reading extremely difficult. As for your question, this is nothing short of what happens in some churches today. They ask you to make a sacrifice(seed sowing) after telling you stories of people who did and miraculously got cured of AIDs and one affliction or the other. Then they start calling certain amounts--say #50,000 working their way to #1000, and ask people to pledge with promises that on a future date something marvelous will come their way. While I'm not against seed sowing and sacrifices, I have a problem with people who deceptively coerce others into it. You should check some churches account to see how many people owe unredeemed pledges to the church. |
Will they be writing children's book? ![]() |
I like AM express, especially their soundtrack...really nice. Haven't had the time to watch anything of late though ![]() |
Teespice: Sagamite: why are you a bully? It's on my siggy |
CFCfan: @ FaakayWhy na? ![]() |
