A source indicated that the community leaders were holding a meeting at the premises of the president general, Ohazuruike when the gunmen arrived and shot them dead.

He said “The seven men were holding a meeting in the shop premises of Ohazuruike when a vehicle drove furiously to the place. Some gunmen stepped out and before they could be reprimanded, opened fire on the seven men. In less than two minutes, they entered their vehicle and drove off same way they arrived, leaving the men in a pool of blood.

In Birnin Kudu, the State Fertilizer Store and Grains Store were all vandalized and looted by the hoodlums, who blocked all major roads linking the town, including Kano-Maiduguri Higherway.

In Dutse, the State capital, five persons were taken to Rasheed Shekoni General Hospital as a result of injuries they sustained, while security operatives have succeeded in blocking the hoodlums from vandalising many public properties. However, the APC state secretariat in the capital city was burnt.

Similarly, in Jahun, Kazaure and Shuwarin towns, the situation was the same as the hoodlums, who posed as protesters, took to the streets calling for the end of bad governance.

Rural and community development capital expenditure stood at N179 million, N2.5 billion was spent on capital expenditure for the education sector, higher education was N323.6million, health expenditure capital expenditure stood at N959 million, rehabilitation of hospitals/health centres was N1.3 billion, all of these expenditures are less than the money spent on office furniture and fittings.


In total these ministries’ capital expenditure gulped N9.4 billion in six months, less than the total amount of N10.4 billion spent on office furniture and fittings.

This prioritisation of office furniture and fittings by the Kano State government also comes at a time where the state suffers developmental challenges such as dearth in healthcare, perennial water scarcity among others.

Finally, even as Harris has become a meme favorite among young voters, Biden’s 60% to 31% advantage over Trump at the end of the 2020 campaign is massively larger than where Harris is right now.

This may seem like bad news for the Harris campaign, and, in one clear way, it is. Without improving among these groups, Harris likely cannot win against the former president.

As Harris continues to define herself separately from being Biden’s vice president, there’s a real chance she could carve out her own political identity that may appeal more to voters of color and young voters.

BLord, an Awka-based cryptocurrency vendor and Managing Director of BLord Group, Blord Real Estate Ltd., Blord Jetpaye Ltd., and Billpoint Technology, was arrested in Abuja on Tuesday, July 16.

Confirming this in a statement issued to newsmen on Tuesday, Force Public Relations Officer, ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, said the arrest was as a result of allegations of cryptocurrency fraud, terrorism funding, and aiding internet fraud among others, levelled against BLord’s companies.
