That said, God clearly tolerated polygamy from the patriachs especially Jacob. There isn't any popular verse casting polygamy as a sin (not even in the NT !) though some come close but Christians have found a way to cast it such using the precedent set in Genesis. Fair enough, but I'd say many have been brainwashed (and I use that word in all honesty) to believe the ideal marriage is monogamy or should be such.

God tolerated them i think then. But that does nt mean that God wants it to continue that way, cos that is the breaking of God's order and standard in marriage which says that two flesh shall become one nt three, nt four and so on. Adultery is a sin. That was why jesus came to restore the order in marriage which which have been destroyed by lamach who first practised it. Anyone now who refuse to follow this standard shall pay dearly for it.

However , 98% of scripture nullifies most of these erroneous additions , that's why applying context when studying the bible is very important , taking verses in isolation to support church dogma is not the right method for diving the work of truth.

6. They covers wide range of sections such as education, religion(which is mostly my base), sports, science and technology, arts, and many more too numerous to mention.

7. They have the largest numbers of members in Nigeria.

8. Relationship is greatly enhanced on Nairaland, due to the outstanding information available to people who are in relationship and married couples.

9. It is free from nude pix and other indecency.

10. They have Enjoyable stories in their literature section which can make your day.

I cant list them all.
I want you to state your reasons why you will choose nairaland to any other forum in Nigeria. The floor is open.

why hv u nt died for d sin u have been committing since u were born till date. When it is another person we are quick to condemn and pass judgement. Now sentence urself 4 d atrocities u hv been committing secretly.

There is no sin that cant be forgiven. They should hv punished him in some other way but nt stoning him to death. Everyday some of us commit sin, and sin is sin, all sin are equal before God yet he did nt punish us or kill us. I am nt supporting what he did but they should soften the sentence. We ought to hv grown beyond this. In some countries people do in-breeding like china and they are moving on until their eyes will be opened to know that it is wrong. There are some things we are doing everyday dat the bible regard as abomination yet God forgives us. Why cant this man be given a second chance to make amend?
