no need to b scared I was induced in my first pregnancy and it wasn't bad. it makes you certain you'll be with your baby soon. d Dr inserted 2 tablets by 9am and contractions started by 12....by 5pm same day I gave birth.
I might opt for induction again cos it's enables you choose ur baby's date of birth. cheers

Cappo sixx, how is waddling doing u cos mine is something else. When baby kicks , my entire body vibrates and moves in the direction of the kicks . I am 37 weeks today. My God is indeed a miracle worker.

Don't be scared.

I was induced 2weeks ago at 40weeks+. You need to relax and go with a positive mind. I am also a FTM and was a bit worried too so I know how you feel.

Hello mama, u don't need to be scared. induction is a way of hastening Labour, I was induced in my 2previous births. Go in there prayerfully n return with ur baby. U don't need details of how induction is being done jare, the medical team will lead u thru. I wish u the very best. Pls take ur mind off fear. The induction is just to bring on contractions. Safe delivery sis, healthy mother n baby & dad rejoicing.

I actually didn't buy online. I don't trust all these online things anymore. I'd rather feel the material well before I buy. Anyway I got lo's clothes from my mum's friend who came back from the US. She brought loads of baby clothes for sale here at giveaway prices.

I got 2 packs of body suits (its the one that has 5 inside), at 2k each
I also got sleep suits (it has 3 inside) for 2k each

I don't know about F&F though! But I think loveable friends is good

Plz sabi mama's we are 38 weeks + 1day but it as if my pelvic want to fall down the kind of pain that am feeling is so much,i went to the hospital on thursday the doctor said I am fine but the pain is just too much,plz is this normal?this is my first pregg. Am so so worried.

Hi mums, I am currently pregnant and live in lagos.

Can anyone pls recommend good hospitals to give birth in lagos?
I'm not a first timer but my first experience in a supposedly 'good n expensive ' hospital in Ikeja is not an experience I want to repeat.

I was given very extensive medio- lateral episiotomy that didnt heal for 5 months!!!!

There was practically no after birth care for the mums, I was discharged without being checked and I began to haemorrhage heavily. All they cared about was money.

Please help a sister out with the name of a good hospital with good patient care services.

See how far God has helped us. Our LOs deserve awards for being patient with us so far because none of us has ported to October just yet.

Whose baby has turned head down? Whose baby is hugging her bladder now? Who is peeing every 30 mins? Stretch marks aka marks of glory, puffy noses and dark necks nko?

Thank you Lord for making me come this far in this pregnancy journey. Thank you God for not making my feet to stumble, for granting me sound health despite the numerous challenges that are associated with pregnancy. Receive all the glory Oh Lord.

Dear Lord, your word says you that have started a good work in me is able to bring it to completion. I ask Lord, that you equip me with strength, wisdom, right appetite and energy to finish this journey strong with my baby alive and well to show for it. May I never have a stillbirth. On my day of delivery, complications shall be very far from me.

I sanctify the medical hands that will work with and on me and my baby with your precious blood. Let their minds be renewed by you Lord. Provide for our needs in this period of time.

I pray for all the mothers that have experienced miscarriages and stillbirths, Lord comfort them and surprise them with viable pregnancies that will bring forth healthy babies. For those in the waiting room, fulfil your promise of fruitfulness in their lives.


Keep all of us in this thread safe. Protect and preserve our husbands and children. Surprise us financially irrespective of the situation in the country.

Lucioustrish my son is in d same condition, av been in d hospital since I gave birth. we just got home from hospital, but went for check up yesterday D levels started rising again. Pls any home remedy for this. My baby's jaundice is caused by ABO incompatibility. Am o+ and he's B+. He has been on phototherapy for 5 days. At a point they were talking of blood transfusion but God took charge and it started dropping b4 we were discharged. Now it's rising again.
I believe God will help us this time. Any mama that has home remedy for this should Pls throw more light.

Good evening mamas, I went for ANC today. I was told to come for induction on my EDD which is next week. The reason is that I am Rhesus negative and also ask to get Anti-rhogam on my admission. Any mama experienced this??

Pls help with where I can get the anti-rhogam in lagos mainland and the cost.

I have started my long walk and climbing stairs for past 2 weeks. what else can I do to induce labour naturally as I have my fears for induction and my dh isn't around.

The doctor also said my purging after eating is just a way my body is preparing for Labour.

MY BIRTH STORY part 2.

When I finally got discharged I started sitting on hot water,i mean the type they use on chickens to remove hairs.See me opening my legs wide so that the heat can penetrate not knowing I was digging my grave.On the 5th day been Sunday I decided to summon up courage to look at my episiotomy because I made up my mind not to look at it because of fear. So I snapped it and did not understand why it was like that. To me I felt that was how it was supposed to be.So I decided to send the picture to DH with the intention of making him feel bad or have a clue of what i went through .He was like babe your episiotomy is open o.I started laughing because I felt he wanted to criticise the work of a Nigerian Dr as he never liked the idea of me giving birth here. He got serious and started using some medical terms to explain still I wasn't understanding what he was saying .He said I should rush back to the hospital to get checked to know if I needed to be re stitched. I almost pooed on my body.After all the pains I went through?? I just controlled myself and waited for my MIL to come back so I can show her too.I later showed my MIL, she was speechless so she called our Dr in calabar and explained to him,that one too said I needed to be re stitched na there wey I bust cry o,i started thinking of those instruments.I called my Dr too,he said there was no need to be re stitched, I became confused o. He was like I know your scared that your jajaina will be loose and your husband will not enjoy you again.That was the same thing my sister told me when she was singing hot water sit bath. She kept saying please use hot water so that your body will close back and your husband will feel you well. The next day been immunisation I got prepared and went back to the hospital. My MIL took baby for immunisation while I went for my own check up.Those nurses almost made me mad.The nurse that discharged indicated that my baby had been immunised and even wrote a wrong date on the card.They almost did not want to immunise my baby because they said he's been given.I talk tire that am not a dunce of slowpoke that will not know or see when they were immunising him.No be small confusion that they even stopped attending to other women because of us.I was just trying to control my anger.Only for them to take it to the lady that discharged me she immediately saw it and started saying that she made mistake abi person no dey make mistake?? Imagine after all the embarrassment especially as I was a FTM they believe we don't know anything. I went back to the Dr he checked me and told me I needed to be re stitched, tears rolled down my cheeks. He gave me my bill I just told him to go ahead.Mehn see him slicing my skin na,he gave me anaesthesia but I was still feeling the pains. Before he could finish scraping out the old wound the anaesthesia stopped working so I started feeling the main pains.I couldn't hold it again o I started shouting and begging him to gimme another anaesthesia I was given another one yet I could still feel the needle piercing through my skin.My only consolation was my son,that was what I was using to cool my brain.When he finally finished I couldn't move o,my jajaina felt like I just got butchered. I managed to enter th car but couldn't close my legs. I was just crying all through till we got home.I couldn't breastfeed my baby,i couldn't even carry or look at him I was just crying and asking God to take away the pains. My MIL fed baby with NAN because I couldn't breastfeed and I had no milk sef. Twas more painful because DH isn't around to pet and rub my back.But I give God the Glory for everything. LO got circumcised on Friday. We are doing great and fine.
May God help this our Nigeria hospitals.See the way my baby was abandoned by the window. All the cold, to the extent that rain even poured on him because they left their window open while they were gossiping. I started shouting MY BABY!!!!!!!!!! They carried him and even had the mind to say Madam dey there o no stand up take care of your baby.Meanwhile I couldn't even stand or sit because of pains and twas still dem that said I shouldn't carry him.I couldn't hold back the tears,i was just wishing American embassy gave me visa,atleast my baby would have been well taken care of and myself too.See us begging nurses to check us na,they were just doing eye service of walking up and down yet wasn't doing anything. When you complain they will just ask if your a FTM if you say yes then whatever your feeling is normal without even taking a second look at you or the baby.Their concern is money.The delivery fee doesn't cover for anything at all. I practically paid for everything including syringe, hand gloves etc meanwhile I had all those things in my hospital bag but dunno how everything disappeared that I had to start buying them again.We paid for 3days but only stayed one night just because they needed space for new people.And they don't refund or even talk to you nicely o.The money we spent was more than the delivery fee.I thank God my baby and I are doing fine.We had to do the circumcision at GH because i wasn't aware I was supposed to book ahead and nobody told us even at antenatal. So all the spaces had been booked till the 3rd week and by then my baby will be one month plus.I just wonder why they don't give these babies anaesthesia because that pain no be here,i practically joined my baby in crying o.My MIL was laughing at me.I thank God it was successful, and the ring came out on the 3rd day.Vigilante is real o but the joy in holding your baby is priceless.
God that did it for me will do it for all the ATC mamas.

This sounds like heartburn!
Is the pain internal or external on the skin?
If it's internal, it could be heartburn which is very common in pregnancy & a cup of warm milk will help or you can talk to your doctor so he/she can prescribe a suitable relief for you.

I am 30 weeks pregnant and I have really bad burning sensation at the top of my belly - a little below the bra line. I thought it could be the bra irritating skin but this is not at bra line and I have already tried different bras/sizes/fabrics/ and even going braless I have tried extra moisturizing with various brands, massaging and also heat/cold packs. It feels like I have a blister. Skin looks perfectly fine... It is killing me. Anyone else had this? Any help?? Thank you!!

Nothing is wrong with you my sister, that's what dh and I call "locking" you won't be able to move from dat position until it unlocks. Weneva I stay in a spot for too long, dh will just laugh and say "otu ti lock"
Just stay wherever u are and allow it to unlock itself.

Does your job entail you being on your feet for a long time? If your husband can help you massage your legs, let him do so. Try to elevate your legs with pillows when you sit down, drink lots of water and rest as often as possible. You should be fine. If it persists see your doctor pls.
