One mama advised you not to lift your head up after the surgery when you were asking for tips for surgery. Lifting your head up day of and even day after causes intense severe sometimes lasting headache. Your doctors or nurses should have also told you. Sorry we mamas here didn't emphasize it enough or you didn't see the one who did. Pele my sister. Maybe you could tell your doctor about the headache so they can prescribe something strong. Then rest a lot. Don't lift your head again for now. You can turn it from side to side. Would have posted this since yesterday but I was banned.

Amin, you’ll see it’s easier than you envisaged, it’s normal to enter the theatre and skip a heart beat as it’s a strange place but In 30-45 minutes you’re done and sleeping.
You’ll come back successfully and make sure to also disclose all disclosures to your doctor before the surgery(during all that long question and answer session before the anaesthetist comes in) so he or she knows what to expect.

Just to chip this in. Spinal anaesthesia didn't work for me. They administered it in my spine and asked me later to wriggle my toes twice. I could still do this. I said I was still feeling things o.
So I was knocked off with general anesthesia. I could still hear their voices as if from afar but didn't feel any pain or sensations till they were done.
Don't be afraid if spinal doesn't work for you (I hope it does). I heard its normal for some people who don't drink alcohol or something. You and your baby will make it out alive and well. Amen.

General anaesthesia is rarely used for cs now..

I have had one before too.. you will be awake but feel no pain during the surgery..

The final goal is healthy mother and baby..

Ultimatebunmi1 I think the spinal is better , I didn’t feel anything at all even the slightest movement o until I heard my baby cry , and I saw them cleaning her up then she was brought to me, don’t be scared everything will be alright. You’ve done it before you’re a big girl and hoped this even turns out much better. It’s just that after recovery pain that is devilish but that pain goes down better since you know what to expect and it’s not the first time so just prepare yourself mentally

Been there twice. Relax, it's nothing, keep your eye on the goal( a healthy baby and Mum) You would be awake during the surgery but feel no pain but feel the movements. However, I don't mean to scare you but the pain after the anaesthesia has worn off is real. Las las, you would be fine.

If your pelvis is aching, you're not alone. Up to 80 percent of pregnant women experience pelvic pain at some point, mostly in that final trimester when stress on the pelvic region is especially intense and body is getting ready for labour things..

Didn't they tell you the cause at the hospital. I think it's cuz you're approaching EDD and baby's getting heavier and maybe you've been over working yourself, try and get a lot of rest, it would go away.

July Roll Call

Happy new month, and top of the morning to my waddling sabi mamas.. Am sure, the countdown to our various dates as started..My joy knows no bound, as am so excited we have 2months to start dropping BA's left and right, may our joy and testimonies be permanent. Amen.

My july mamas, we should be in our week 30,29,28, and 27 by now, what as been your experience so far? Cus for me I noticed since I entered my 30th week, my prince kicks became so much that at times I just wanna cry, nd baby goes down below my abdomen nd can stay there for hours making me unable to stand or walk well..

I know we are all experiencing one or two changes in the body, as such coming online myt be stressful. Pls I want everyone to respond to our roll calls (only few are active), so my mind can always be at rest that everyone is doing great.. How is the oza room going? Hope you keeping up with your eating and Routine drugs? Please endeavor to make your, your form of exercise daily.. Wishing us all a smooth journey. Amen

Lastly, as we approach our 8month, Once a while we can use warm water nd soap to massage/ wash our breast fully and always pull out our nipple in case its not pointed. Let's keep in mind that from 8months we should endeavour to use cotton wool and oil to bring out dirt from our nipples also.. Any other tip will be welcome.. Thanks and have a wonderful 4weeks (May).

That sounds like epidural. Its a kind of anesthesia they give on the spinal cord so that you do not feel pain during vaginal delivery.

Or if you mean the types on anesthesia used for CS, then there is the general one where you are made to fall asleep until the whole procedure is over and the local, where just your tummy is numbed so you don't feel pain when they cut you open but you're still awake for the procedure. I think more people are going for the local one these days for fear of never waking up after the general anesthesia.
