Just this morning at about 7.30am, a pregnant woman was rescued by FRSC official from the hands of kidnappers after their vehicle was stopped at AP filling station right before Aradagun Bus stop in Badagry, Lagos. .

Inside the vehicle they stopped were two suspected kidnappers (male) and a pregnant woman who was their victim. It was stated that the pregnant woman sustained some injuries and was rushed to Ola-Oki hospital, Ibereko, where she immediately gave birth to a baby boy.

The two kidnappers were about to be burnt by irate mob when some soldiers arrived the scene and arrested them and handed them over to the Nigeria Police in Badagry.

Three children lost their life in a car packed in front of their compound at warri road by Igbo road.


It happened that the children while playing decided to go inside the car and lock up themselves without the knowledge of their parents.


Report gathered that their parent has been searching for them all over the places unknown to them that the children was inside the car during the process.

A grieving mum who wanted to be artificially inseminated with her dead son's sperm now has twins after being told by doctors she needed a surrogate to complete her dream of "reincarnating" her child.

Rajashree Patil, 49, was informed by doctors that she was unfit for IVF treatment using a sample taken from her son Prathamesh, who died of a deadly tumour.

She had wanted to conceive the children herself by being the surrogate mother but doctors said she was medically unfit as she had already begun her menopause, the Daily Mail reports.

Instead, his semen was used to fertilise an egg which was given by an anonymous donor, who was not related to the family, before being implanted into a close relative.

The surrogate, 35, has now given birth to twins and Rajashree says she will raise the little boy and girl, who are technically her grandchildren, as though they are her own.

She called the boy Prathamesh while she named the little girl after her daughter Prisha, who will help her raise the babie

The rate to which i do get messages from Facebook user on how to limit friends from tagging them on their post is becoming something else. Turn your back for five seconds and your so-called friends are tagging you in dubious nightspots or posting Rick Astley music videos to your timeline.


Just pay attention let me share simple tricks on how you can take control of your Facebook account without tags on your timeline.


After all, your profile represents you to your contacts on Facebook and the wider world. You may not want it littered with posts and tags from other people, particularly if you use it in a professional capacity, so it's well worth a few minutes of your time to restrict other people's access to your wall (that's what the timeline used to be called, youngsters).


How do i do that, On the web, head to your timeline, click the More button (three horizontal dots) and choose Timeline Settings. The top option (click Edit to change it) lets you select who can post to your timeline: Your friends or just you. Choose the latter option and no one else has the chance to litter your profile page with messages, links and animated GIFs.


The setting immediately underneath lets you review tags before they appear on your Timeline. Facebook doesn't give you the option to prevent your friends from tagging you, but you can make sure these tagged posts don't appear on your timeline. They can be reviewed and either approved or dismissed from the Timeline View section of your Activity Log page (accessible through your profile).


Again, this doesn't remove the tag; it will still appear on your friend's page, in search results, in the news feed (to your mutual friends) and so on. But it does stop the post appearing on your timeline and appearing to contacts who aren't also friends with whoever's been tagging you. If you've been tagged in a picture, then this can be removed via the photo's menu options.


Further down there are other options to play around with. If you do want to allow tagged photos and posts from friends on your timeline, you can choose who gets to see them. It's also possible to review tags that your friends apply to your own posts before they're applied.


Finally, you might want to change the When you're tagged in a post... option to Only Me. If your friends insist on tagging you on a regular basis, this stops your own circle of Facebook contacts from seeing the posts (unless of course they are already friends with the person doing the tagging, as we mentioned earlier).

Tragedy struck Monday morning in Mbiabam Ibiono Community, in Akwa Ibom State, when a Vulcanizer identified as Nkere-Uta, allegedly slaughtered his wife, Bella with a machete.


The incident, according to our source, occurred at about 8 am in a community which is about 15 minutes drive to Uyo, the State capital.


However, it could not be immediately ascertained why the man allegedly murdered his wife, who was in her early 30's with five children.


THE Town Crier Newspapers reporter scooped that the poor woman who lost her life to domestic violence was a hard-working petty trader and well loved by all that knew her.


‎Contacted, the Police Public Relations Officer, Akwa Ibom State, Odiko McDon, confirmed the incident. He said the suspect has been arrested by Itam Division of the Nigeria Police Force.

Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi of Enugu State, On Saturday sacked 104 Executive Assistants over non-performance.


The Governor, while announcing the sack, expressed dismay with his Executive Assistants from Enugu North Senatorial District of the state over their nonchalant attitude towards the ongoing voters’ registration exercise by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).


There are 104 wards in the Senatorial zone and each ward has an executive assistant to the Governor. Consequently, Gov. Ugwuanyi declared the positions of the affected Executive Assistants vacant and directed them to go back to their various electoral wards to revalidate their mandate and obtain fresh endorsement from the people before being reappointed.


The governor regretted that some of the former EAs were not on ground and had not lived up to their responsibilities in the wards in terms of sensitization, mobilization and promotion of government programmes, policies and interests at the grassroots.


The governor further emphasized the need to involve those who are committed to the party and its government in political appointments and advised the stakeholders to allow the people at the grassroots choose those who will be appointed as Executive Assistants to manage the activities of his administration at the ward level.

TRAGEDY struck at the weekend at the border community of Ugwuoba community in Oji-River Local Government Area of Enugu State when two persons were buried alive while excavating sand in the area.


The State Police Public Relations Officer, Ebere Amarizu, in a statement on Sunday, said that the police authority has begun a full investigation into the death of the two young men which he confirmed occurred at Gariki in Ugwuoba community at about 10:30 am on Saturday.


Amarizu said, “It was gathered that duo said to be excavating sand at a site died after the sand allegedly covered them. Two persons who were said to be excavating sand at a site in Gariki in Ugwuoba community got buried in the sand they were excavating slides and allegedly covered them”

“The identity of the victims has yet to be unmasked, but sources revealed that they hailed from Nibo in Awka South Local Government Area of Anambra State, but were at the site to excavate sand into lorries,’’ he said.

Bello made the remarks while speaking against the background of the national outcry against the murderous activities of Fulani herdsmen in Benue, Plateau and Taraba states and many other parts of the country. .


“Take it or not, Fulanis have remained unbeatable; no ethnic group can fight us face to face. Any ethnic group that fights us will learn a bitter lesson,” the leader of the apex Fulani association in the country said.



He, however, said it was in the interest of the Fulani, which he described as “the largest ethnic group in Nigeria and, indeed, West Africa,” for all Nigerians to continue to live in peace and unity. .


According to him, should a civil war break out in the country, the Fulani would be the biggest losers because they have more people than any other ethnic groups in the country.


“It is in our own interest that the country lives in peace [and for the country] to be united. If anything happens in Nigeria, we are the ones to lose because we have more people than any other ethnic groups.


When you have more people, if any war occurred, certainly we Fulanis would have more dead people to record. And we are not beggars as we are equally blessed with wealth,” Bello said.


In an apparent reference to the Benue State people, he stated that if the Fulanis wanted to take other people’s land, they could have done so in the past “when these people did not know how to wear clothes.”


Tracing the origin of the Tiv, Bello said the progenitor of Tivs hailed from Katsina State and had married a Junkun woman who gave birth to those who are today referred to as the Tiv people. He declared the name of the father of the Fulani as Muhammad Katsina-Alla.
