ASUU obeyed court order by calling off the strike but FG won't obey same court order by releasing Nnamdi Kanu. Buhari and his cohorts are very really irresponsible.
So this company where I work paid me twice in error. Do you think they will detect later that they paid me twice?
In 2019, I got a better job and left the school I was teaching in Lagos. I received salary alert from the school for two months in two days interval. The money was 100k for the two months. I called the principal of the school and returned the money to them because I didn't work for it. Till today, I'm not regretting my action.
Of a truth, its not easy to manage such amount, but when one is already in such situation, you just have to manage and improvise. Now like the OP of the above thread requested, here is the break down of how we make our expenses.
To start with, I was earning about 130k previously before we got married by March this year, but I changed job and the pay of the new job is 95k. STarted the new job around Feb this year, even though there was a loan I was paying off.. Need I add that my wife was working in a firm where shes paid 45K, but two months after our married, she quit the job due to pregnancy stress. Am sure ladies will understand.
This is our break down. Monthly salary 95k I remove 40k first from the salary and transfer it to 3 different acct. The first acct receives 20k. This acct is not touchable except on extreme emergency. Its our main savings acct. The second acct gets 10k and its for our rent, also non touchable. Rent is 150k per year. Before u say my rent is high compared to my salary, I like my privacy very well. and the cost of rent isnt friendly in my state. The third acct also gets 10k. This one is for semi savings. This acct is touchable when cash at hand have been exhausted before the next month salary.
From the remaining 50k, I send 10k to my family acct. I and my brothers do contribute 10k+ every month and its been used to run expenses WRT our parents and last born. I gv my wife 10k for her monthly up keep. Its small. But its the sacrifice we all have to make for the good of the family. I hold 10k myself for logistics and transport. I must confess, is not enough. But One have to strive. My wrk place isnt far. SO transport is N100 to and fro, thats approximately 3k per month. The remaining money i use it for other logistics. 4k out of this money goes for gas wch last for abt 2 weeks. And when we want to refill and there is no other money left, we fall back to the 3rd acct. The remaining 20k is strictly for food ( On this food issue is where I "duff my hart" cos shes really managing things well and trying. Sometimes, I really feel for her, cos this her pregnancy makes her to crave for things that is not on our food menu, but then when the money is not there, she just surpress the cravings. At times I feel bad.
The remaining 5k, for now is used to pay back a tailor who sewed multiple pregnancy gowns for my wife.
Its good to add that any small money I make like 1k or 2k on side hustle, I directly buy mudu of rice, beans or flour for swallow.
Its not easy at all. But there are families with kids leaving below that.
My wife is abt 5mnths pregnant, we plan to divert the 20k savings to buying baby things in preparation for child birth.
The truth is that the economic situation in this country is bad and so cost of leaving is very high. But then one have to survive. But then in Nigeria now, how many percentage of the population earn above 100k. In fact how many jobs out there pays such as amount.
The only advice I have for ladies is that if you are not working and you parent family is the type need financial help from your husband after marriage, or you are the type of lady that is high class and wont settle for less or manage with your man. Plz kindly wait and take your time to look for a man that is RICH or financially capable of taken care of you and maybe your family. Please dont hide under the cover of you want to marry quick and then accept a struggling man only to start putting pressure on his head. Plz wait and marry a rich man.
Most responsible men wont really appreciate it if you are always demanding for things you knw fully well that he can not afford.
It is also good to note that no condition is permanent, things will definitely get better. A better job might come or my wife might get a job after her maternity which will increase our income.
The bottom line is, as a couple, but of you will have to work things out to improve your finances.
That your house rent saving should be N12,500 per month. My house rent is also 150k per annum and I save N12,500 monthly from my salary. This really helped me to renew my house rent few months ago without stress. May God help us!
Warrior14: I will be getting married in 3 weeks time but I'm not happy I'm getting married to a man who has beaten me two different times. I'm getting married to a man who is heartless and doesn't know how to love and treat a woman right. I'm getting married to a man who does not have a mind of his own.
I'm getting married but I'm already thinking of divorce.
I'm overwhelmed! I'm physically strong but I'm weak. Just don't want to wake up from my sleep so I won't have to continue with this marriage plans as I can't stand the shame of calling off the marriage at this time.
A broken engagement is better than a broken marriage.
BluntCrazeMan: Fellow builders and Engineers in the house.. Good Morning Ooo. ... As we already know, in a situation where there was no foundation chaining-beam constructed before the filling of the foundation, it had always been a common practice to block-off the holes in the block-works (especially when hollow blocks were used in the block-works) while filling the foundation with laterite soil, and also during the casting of the DPC floor. (A labourer is actually being paid to do the blocking of the holes). .. I am now asking... Is there anything wrong in filling the holes of the foundation block-works with the laterite soil while the filling of the foundation was going on.?? .. In fact, what exactly is the main reason why the holes in the foundation block-works are being blocked-off during the filling of foundation with Laterite?? .. I really need to know the reason. I need to learn this.
It's actually bad to fill the hollow of the blocks with laterite. It's better you fill it with broken block or weak concrete; 1:4:8. The laterite absorbs and retains moisture which affects the strength of the block as time goes on.
Two soldiers were killed and seven others injured when bandits attacked Unguwar Lalle village in Sabon Birni council area of Sokoto State.

"Three operational vehicles reportedly left Sabon Birni town with re-enforcement but were ambushed along the way and two soldiers were shot dead while seven others sustained various degree of injuries. I traveled yesterday from the southwest to attend a wedding in Owerri. I got to onitsha around 12 noon because of the vehicle. I have been directed to take keke to peace park. I took keke from the park, but the keke guy took I and the lady with me to another pack. On getting there, I was still confused because I didn't see the name 'peace' there. The guys there cut the ticket and wrote 2550 to Owerri... As I was trying to tell him No... Some guys came trying to harass the lady... Creating fear by trying to hijack her bag... So, she ran and said we should pay for the vehicle... The guy took us to the vehicle in disguise that he was trying to protect us saying onitsha is now bad... We paid and met some people in the vehicle.
To cut the story short... That same keke and another kept bringing people for them and they harass them that way. Once u enter that park... U can't go out... U will pay for the ticket under duress. We left there past 2pm....It was later I discovered the driver and vehicle was hijacked too... He was given 1k and they took the rest. The keke guys were positioned for it. They collected double money from some women, made them cry and they paid again. They vehicle was going to owerri, they took bayelsa and Portharcourt passengers and collected huge money but will not go with them.
One of those criminals said they can't be reported to the police because police is a syndicate too... In fact, I discovered that all the people we met in the vehicle were part of the team of criminals. The name on the ticket is 'All Roads park'.
I have not had this experience before... Lagos is not as worse as this from my experience. There is a big park beside this people, and nobody is rebuking them from this evil. They extort, hijack and make women weep. It is a terrible business...
How many of us have encountered such?

I had the same experience two months ago. The park is beside the pedestrian bridge, Lagos park, Upper Iweka, Onitsha. I was going to Aba that day from Asaba and my intention was to go to peace park and board a bus. Immediately I came down from the bridge, one man asked me where I was going and I said Aba. He said the there was a bus there going to Aba that was almost full. So I followed him, getting there, they said it's N2,500 to Aba. I was skeptical about buying the ticket. Two touts came to me and started pointing at my phone in my pocket that it's theirs. I was speechless and the guys loading the bus asked me to pay for the ticket and enter the bus immediately so that they will not collect my phone from me. I was restless at that moment because the guys were eager to attack me. So I paid N2,500 to Aba. Many people were also harassed until they boarded the bus. Later on, I discovered there were, Aba, Owerri, Portharcourt and Akwa Ibom passengers in the bus. When the bus was finally full after much delay, they told us that the bus was going to Owerri irrespective of where you are going. But I paid N2,500 to take me to Aba while some paid 3k and above depending on where they were going. So those that paid above N2,500 were given back some amount. They wanted to fight us( passengers) for protesting about their dubious act. But we just calmed down so that we could depart from their park. Once you enter that park, they will harass you until you enter the bus out of fear. My advice to anyone travelling through Onitsha is, never enter a bus/Sienna at that park beside Lagos park. Those men/guys there are not Human beings, they are heartless.
Mrincredy: The Senior pastor of a faith-based church(Tower of Revelation Ministry) in enyimba city of Aba, Apostle Umah Udah shocked everyone on sunday when he came to church dressed like an Ohafia warlord. The man of God who hails from Akanu Ohafia is incidentally a prince too and as a way of promoting the rich culture of the African people chose to minister this past sunday dressed like a warlord.
This act has generated mixed reactions among Nigerians with many however commending the clergy for promoting the African culture while calling on other men of God and celebrities to toe the same line.
Front page pls
He is very proud of his culture and where he comes from. There is nothing wrong with his dressing as an Ohafia man he is. The regalia depicts where he comes from. Christianity doesn't forbid us from wearing our traditional attire.

Ibrahim Attahiru earlier this afternoon to commiserate with the families of the late COAS. I doubt if Buhari is aware that his Chief of Army Staff is dead.

There's no top political office holder that supports disintegration of Nigeria simply because their positions are favouring them at the expense of the poor masses. Though it may tarry, but Nigeria must be disintegrated. We are not one and we can never be one. PERIOD!
Jamesbally: Another good news from the East. When Nnandi Kanu, IPOB TERRORIST and ESN are done with the EAST ehn. The region will become a shadow of itself.
It seems your sense of reasoning is twisted. What is the correlation between what you commented here and the news you read?
