Readinglamp:I don't think there's any country on earth that doesn't have illegal migrants even Nigeria. Thousands of people from Africa troop into Europe every week through Italy and Spain and spread.... Even with stringent measures, Germany still has many illegal immigrants. |
It's illegal migrants that do all the dirty jobs in America. They pick the fruits in orchards. They remove cobwebs from homes. They man refuse collection. They do a whole lot of things that both Americans and legal migrants can't do. In the end America will lose more. But how is it my business sef? Roofing house is the only thing I know how to do |
Sometimes I just pity China. They ban American apps in their country but want Americans to use theirs. Unfortunately, their alternatives to Americans are still not global |
alimiadedayo1:A whole Atiku? Yet Wike has held the party ransom since last year. He is clearly engaging in anti party activities and no one can sack him. Atiku wields no power in PDP. That's the obvious fact |
No matter what, Tinubu is a badass politician. Whatever he says he'll do, no matter how much you oppose it, he'll still do it. It will only take time. He removed subsidy and devalued naira, not even a placard was raised in protest. There are two faults I have found in his government: One is the removal of subsidy and floating the naira at the same time. I'm not against subsidy removal neither against currency devaluation. But I strongly believe they shouldn't have done it at the same time. While subsidy removal is long overdue, a lot of preparation ought to have been done before floating the naira. Secondly, this government is magnificently corrupt. There's little to no transparency and accountability. If this area could be taken care of, I'll rate this government fairly |
PDP in unison is desperately looking for a way to get rid of Wike. Unfortunately, Atiku is a paperweight |
Questions like this arise only where people marry for the wrong reason. I'll NEVER be in a position where I would have to choose between my wife and my mother. The story begins from dating and wedding. When I introduce my wife-to-be to my family, nobody has any right whatsoever to tell me not to marry her. I didn't bring her to you for approval, I only brought her to you for introduction. Likewise, when I tell you, my wife, what I want to do for my mother, it is not to seek your approval. Instead, it's just for you to KNOW and if you have any idea on a better way to do it, fine. I'll NEVER be in a situation where my inlaws would dictate to me what to do. I can honor them with an opportunity to give suggestions on specific matters, but they already know that I'm not under obligation whatsoever to take it. So in conclusion, both my wife and my mother MUST respect and fear me enough not to put themselves in any contest at all because in the end, I myself will be the winner. Always. |

helinues:I don't believe this. America has more trade war with China than Russia. Why is our continent flooded with Chinese goods? Truth is, Russia doesn't have consumer technology that can compete with other countries |
helinues:It's based on your question above. By the way you can't compare Nigeria and Russia. We are not competing with America on who becomes the world power. We have not yet conquered hunger let alone... |
helinues:Yes. Apple is still the most popular phone in Russia. Chevrolet is the second most popular car in Russia. Benz is the most popular Luxury car in Russia |
Ojiofor:They're the first to generate electricity from nuclear power, but they are definitely not number 1 currently |
Ojiofor:They made LADA same way Chukwuma makes IVM. Difference is that one is state owned while the other is private owned. They have never been leaders in auto industry. |
Paraman:Yet it's not in any hospital |
helinues:But you know that this is not true, right? Can you mention any consumer technology that Russia has an edge over other countries? We have Toyota/Honda from Japan. We have Samsung from South Korea. We have apple from US. We have a lot of pharmaceuticals from India. We have Boeing from America. Tell me that product that Russia boast off let alone being boycotted by Africa. |
SalamRushdie:Do you have any proof of the claims above? Because I don't think any of the things you mentioned was invented by Russia except maybe a periodic table |
She bought it with her personal money so she has the right to do whatever she wants with it. But her act is dishonorable |
DaddyJapan:Your bolded statement shows what they're preoccupied with. It's about their priority. They're too preoccupied with military advancement. While America is spending so much on military, they don't relegate consumer technology. That is balance. China and also giving attention to every aspect of human endeavor... |
franchasofficia:You're right. Their advancement in space technology among other things could be deployed to improve consumer communication experience, combat global warming and improve health care. Their military technology could also be useful in automobile and general electronics endeavors. But everything to them has to be dead merchandise |
kettykin:These are all deployed on military endeavors. They don't have much benefit to the man in the street |
danvon:Not entirely true |
It just crossed my mind to check everything in my house now. I realized that not a single thing here is made in Russia. I'm wondering if I've ever seen anything like "made in Russia". It seems more than 50% of things I own are made in China. The rest are shared between US, Japan, Germany, etc Does anyone here have any items made in Russia? Are there consumer technology that Russia is the leader? I'm curious to know |
NEW YEAR NEW PERSPECTIVE #NYNP ...On the issue of k!ling Bush Meat. There has been a movement lately to discourage people from eating Bush Meat. The message is that many wild animals are going to extinction. Another is the issue of animal cruelty. Yet another is the concern of transmitting dieses to humans. While all the points above are valid, I don't consider them valid enough to stop people from enjoying bush meats or tagging them primitive. Here are my reasons: 1. Proponents of this whole idea are mostly people from the west who have conquered hunger and other basic needs of life. These people now have so much time and resources to pursue "frivolities". Majority of people in third world still have challenges getting their meals. Abstaining from eating Bush Meat will cause more hunger and starvation to most of them. So it is a case of choosing to either spare the lives of these humans or that of the wild animals. I prefer to sl**ghter animals to feed humans than allow humans to perish just to preserve wild animals. For clarity, dogs in western world are better fed than humans in third world countries. So it's understandable if they champion this preservation stuff. 2. Eating Bush Meat is more healthy than eating any other form of meat. Humans are natural agents, we go well when fed with other natural products. Bush meats feed on natural things thus making the whole system align with nature. 3. The crusade to stop eating Bush Meat reeks of hypocrisy. Those who eat Bush Meat are primitive, but those who destroy entire community; entire eco system, the rivers, the forests and all the wild animals in them in the name of exploring crude oil or building structures are called industrialists. So tell me, the man that hunts few hundreds of wild animals in a year and the man that destroys the entire wild, pollute the entire river and po!son the entire community, who is more primitive? https://www.facebook.com/share/p/qFUjG9Vp18iXG3hT/

Devaluing the naira the same time subsidy was removed was a very wrong move. I support complete deregulation of the down stream sector. But floating the naira is not good. Imagine bringing Kano pillars to play against Arsenal... |
They keep borrowing yet nothing to show for it. They borrow and squander, then borrow again to service it. The circle continues. All these lenders are evil |
