Yes. Apple is still the most popular phone in Russia. Chevrolet is the second most popular car in Russia. Benz is the most popular Luxury car in Russia

Do you have any proof of the claims above? Because I don't think any of the things you mentioned was invented by Russia except maybe a periodic table

Your bolded statement shows what they're preoccupied with. It's about their priority. They're too preoccupied with military advancement. While America is spending so much on military, they don't relegate consumer technology. That is balance. China and also giving attention to every aspect of human endeavor...

Russian leaders have always set a very wrong priority for Russia by focusing squarely on ammunition. Russia depend on Germany for cars. Yes they have Russian made cars but they are not popular even in Russia.


Their extreme racism and quest to outshine United States made them blind from reality.


It is Putin that's trying to open Russia to the world albeit wrongly.


He should have avoided the senseless invasion of Ukraine and focused on improving Russian relations with Africa, MiddleEast and Asia, and invested more in research and development of solutions for everyday problems that can be exported to the rest of the world.

You're right. Their advancement in space technology among other things could be deployed to improve consumer communication experience, combat global warming and improve health care. Their military technology could also be useful in automobile and general electronics endeavors. But everything to them has to be dead merchandise

It just crossed my mind to check everything in my house now. I realized that not a single thing here is made in Russia. I'm wondering if I've ever seen anything like "made in Russia". It seems more than 50% of things I own are made in China. The rest are shared between US, Japan, Germany, etc

Does anyone here have any items made in Russia? Are there consumer technology that Russia is the leader? I'm curious to know

...On the issue of k!ling Bush Meat.

There has been a movement lately to discourage people from eating Bush Meat. The message is that many wild animals are going to extinction. Another is the issue of animal cruelty. Yet another is the concern of transmitting dieses to humans.

While all the points above are valid, I don't consider them valid enough to stop people from enjoying bush meats or tagging them primitive. Here are my reasons:

1. Proponents of this whole idea are mostly people from the west who have conquered hunger and other basic needs of life. These people now have so much time and resources to pursue "frivolities". Majority of people in third world still have challenges getting their meals. Abstaining from eating Bush Meat will cause more hunger and starvation to most of them. So it is a case of choosing to either spare the lives of these humans or that of the wild animals. I prefer to sl**ghter animals to feed humans than allow humans to perish just to preserve wild animals.

For clarity, dogs in western world are better fed than humans in third world countries. So it's understandable if they champion this preservation stuff.

2. Eating Bush Meat is more healthy than eating any other form of meat. Humans are natural agents, we go well when fed with other natural products. Bush meats feed on natural things thus making the whole system align with nature.

3. The crusade to stop eating Bush Meat reeks of hypocrisy. Those who eat Bush Meat are primitive, but those who destroy entire community; entire eco system, the rivers, the forests and all the wild animals in them in the name of exploring crude oil or building structures are called industrialists. So tell me, the man that hunts few hundreds of wild animals in a year and the man that destroys the entire wild, pollute the entire river and po!son the entire community, who is more primitive?

I don't want to be a pessimist, but from what I have observed so far, Note 50 might be the first and last Realme smartphone most Nigerians will use. I remember when Redmi tried to enter Nigerian market, the noise was too much. Today only few people still remember the brand.

Why most people will buy the note 50 is because of the ridiculously cheap price. With time, either that Realme will release new models at the right market price which will push most people to go back to the infinix and Tecno they know, or they will realize that Realme just packaged crap and sell with over hyped features because nothing good comes cheap
