I'm very sure 90% of this students loan will not be paid back |
Your relationship with the company and colleagues would determine what you should do. I once had a job in a very toxic organization. One day around 12 noon I stood up, took my bag, while at the door I told my colleagues goodbye. Meanwhile a certain job I did earlier, farewell party was organized for me when I resigned even though I lasted only one year.... So if you have a right hand man in your place of work, inform him tonight that you're quitting; not everyone deserves surprise. As for management, if your appointment letter doesn't mandate you to give one month notice or you can bear whatever consequences...fvck them... |
On the pages of newspaper and NTA channels. By the way, where is nwamaikpe and that damn nigarr guy? I'm sure a mod must have banned nwamaikpe for 600 years. I miss that guy |
EyeCumInPiece:I know there are no elders in your family so I'll forgive you |
This protest is dead on arrival. You can't stage a successful protest after giving government one month notice. They will sabotage it in more ways than one. A successful protest is spontaneous. It's abrupt. Secondly, the owners of the media, the owners of all the touts...are still the same ones at the federal government. My advice? This is not GEJ's government where civility and democracy reigned. This government will be so brutal to any perceived opposition; protesters.... they're already mobilizing EFCC, police, army, media etc.... So respect yourself and protest some other times |

We are so used to African time that we're surprised when someone keeps to time |
After searching for job that hot afternoon, I stopped under a shade for rest. Beside the shade, a man was digging a pit. From all indication he was distressed. I engaged him in a conversation only to discover that it was a must that he finished the pit that day and he was already exhausted. We negotiated, I removed my cooperate wear and jumped into the pit. This was my chance of getting transport money. I used all my strength and dug in very quick succession till I passed out. I managed to sit... For 30 minutes I didn't get myself. When I finally recovered, luckily the man came around and got pure water for me. I now did the remaining job gradually. Second one. That boring morning, me and my guy were galavanting around the village looking for what to do. A man asked if we could carry timber for him. We accepted without knowing what is involved. To cut long story short, after work for the day; carry timber from the forest to main road, crossing rivers and climbing hills, our pay was not able to take care of our transportation. The man pittied us and paid for our return |

I will no longer be dropping part 2 since no one is interested in the part ,1 |
I don't know about other cities, but here in owerri there's a bad trend that developers and landlords should take note of. There's an upsurge in the number of yahoo boys. Whenever they pick money, they spend extravagantly. They look for virgin house with luxury finishing to rent. Consequently, in a bid to take advantage of this, developers and landlords now build their houses to meet this standards. After their first rent, most of them are not able to renew the exhorbitant rent. They list their properties for sale why landlord recover their property from them. Now the problem is, average tenants are not able to rent those properties at such high prices and most yahoo boys don't rent apartments that have been previously used by another person; they look for virgin houses. So we have a situation where there are so many good vacant flats while many people are searching for accomodations. But they can't afford them. In my opinion, targeting high paying tenants alone is not a good business decision especially tenants with irregular and unpredictable sources of income. There's acute scarcity of affordable residential houses whereas there are many vacant apartments. Why you build for yahoo boys who can hardly renew their rent, also build for average income earners.

Another useless adventure. How will the rice be shared? How will it affect the price of rice in the market? How will it encourage healthy competition in the market place? How will it affect the economy? |
Why your roof leaks. Part 1 Is your roof leaky? Majority of landlords in Nigeria have this nightmare of leaking roof. In this article I'll highlight some reasons why your roof leaks water and how you can prevent or stop it. To make it understandable, I'll discuss them according to the different types of roofs. Stay with me. a. Metro Tiles (A.K.A. Stone Coated Tiles) This is arguably the most contemporary roofing sheet that has captured the minds of majority of developers because of it's high quality and elegant appearance. Metro Tiles is very durable and stands the test of time in terms of fashion. Ordinarily, Metro Tiles should not have any incidence of leakage, but sadly some do. There are two major reasons for that: 1. Wrong Purlin spacing. Purlin (aka 2×2) must be spaced at 14", no more, no less. Anything aside that will lead to leakage . 2. Wrong use of sealant during installation. Every nail point on the first sheets must be covered with sealant. But if the sealant is used while it's raining or not applied at all, leakage is inevitable. 3. Wrong slope. Metro Tiles is not to be used for flat roof or any roof with gentle slope or too low king post. If your Metro Tiles is already leaking, the remedy is to climb the roof from outside and apply sealant on every nail point from where there is leakage. b. Metro coppo. This is a modern aluminum corrugation that appeals to many people because of it's beautiful design and how it fits a lot of buildings. Metro coppo is arguably the most problematic roofing sheet in Nigeria because, from personal observation, over 60% of Metro coppo roofs have leakages of varying degrees. The following are the causes of such leakages: 1. Wrong Purlin spacing. The right Purlin spacing for Metro coppo is 16"; it can be less but should never be more... 2. Wrong aluminum gauge. The lowest gauge should be 0.45. It can be higher, but should never be lower. 3. Bad corrugating machine. This has to do with the lapping structure, hip size and horizontal size. 4. Careless installation. Installation should be done with utmost care and diligence. 5. Wrong slope. It's very wrong to install Metro coppo on a flat roof or any roof with gentle slope. And if the length from the Ridge Cap to the Eave is longer than 8 meters, you should double lap it. If you've done your Metro coppo roof already and it's leaking water, you need to find out why it's leaking in the first place. If there are some nail holes resulting from careless installation or minor cracks resulting from bad material or machine holes, a high quality silicon gum applied through the under of the roofing sheets can take care of the problem. If the leakage is a result of gaps at the lapping points which is a result of wide Purlin spacing, low gauge or bad corrugation machine, there has to be overlapping whereby new sheets are run on top of the lapping points. If you're concerned about the ecstasy of the roof, you might have to consider de-roofing and installation of new roofing sheets after taking necessary corrections. c. Step Tiles: There's no much difference between step Tiles and Metro coppo. The same principles apply to both... d. Regular (A.K.A. Long Span): Ordinarily, Regular roofing sheet (wider or small gutter) is the most trusted, flexible and friendly aluminum roofing sheet. It is flexible because whatever your budget is, you can get something suitable without worries. However, it can leak for the following reasons: 1. Wrong Purlin spacing. Unlike the previous roofing sheets we discussed above that have fixed Purlin spacing, the spacing for Regular roofing sheet is flexible. Some of the things to consider while deciding the spacing are the quality of roofing sheet (gauge), the height of the king post and the distance between Ridge Cap and the Eave. All things being equal, the spacing shouldn't be too wide. 2. Wrong gauge. The lowest gauge for your Regular roofing sheet should be 0.35. But bear in mind that such a low gauge cannot be used for bigger projects. On no account should you use anything below 0.50 for iron roof. 3. Wrong Gutter. We have wider gutter and small gutter. Small gutter is suitable for industrial projects, flat roofs and projects that require longer lengths. In the absence of small gutter, you can use wider gutter but must double lap it. If you've already done your roof with with wider or small gutter and you're experiencing leakage, depending on what the causes are, you can use silicon gum or do overlapping. N/B: Before you start doing the carcass of your roof, seek the advice of aluminum roofer because, as you have seen from this article, the skeleton plays a very significant role in the reliability of your roof. I am Ceekay. Roofing sheet is my specialty.

mctech:Oga stop speaking grammar; I'm sure you've never seen where they sell keke before let alone where it's assembled, that's why you're talking out of point. |
Joy2dworldxyz:Tricycle is not a complex machinery that has a lot of components. There's nothing to assemble there |
Opebiman:Honestly I don't see this as an investment. For many decades tricycles have been used in Nigeria. They are imported as knocked down and assembled by various dealers in their various warehouses same way motorcycles are assembled. Assembling tricycles is so easy that every tricycle technician can assemble it. Imagine building a factory to do what every shop owner in the industry can do! It doesn't even require any special tools; factory standard tools. Now the question is: how will a buyer transport assembled keke from Lagos to owerri? At what cost? Why would he even want to do it while it can be done at his backyard? |
The federal government doesn't have real negotiators |
Once again we will start seeing rural roads being graded like in the days of old. We will start seeing some government presence in our local communities |
They just want to silence this guy by all means |
Komu1048:Who does DF fight for? |
hammer567:How do you guys do it? You eat, breath bath tribalism all day everyday your whole lives... Isn't it concerning to you? |
Komu1048:Daddy Freeze is no different from Reno Omokri |
Ezmans:He don blow already. Someone that can make calls and things happen... Someone that can look at T.Ednut in the eye and say fvck you... |
Love him or hate him, VDM is the only Nigerian influencer with principle, at least for now. When he believes in something, he fights for it till finish irrespective of what he'll gain or lose |
Ok |
If only 10% of Nigeria's fund could be effectively utilized, Nigeria would have moved forward. That is why I'm a strong advocate of regionalism. In regionalism, there are fewer politicians (thieves) at the same time. Let me explain. In this current political structure, at the federal level there is the president, vice, ministers, senators, reps and thousands of SAs and SSAs. Same is applicable at the 36 states and different local Governments. In the end you see that we have millions of thieves at the same time. These thieves consume as much as 99% of our resources. If we have only 6 regions (states) with resource control, there will be fewer politicians and competitions... In the end the masses might benefit from about 10% of the resources... This is just remedial solution though. The ultimate solution is to collapse Africa into one state with one army, one currency, one passport, one dialling code, one market and one flag. |
Does Sowore even have supporters? |
This MURIC is so short sited |
Reverting to an old anthem written by a colonialist with with relatively meaningless lyrics is the height of it all. I've observed that national anthem means absolutely nothing to Nigerians. Infact, the name "Nigeria" invokes little or no emotions on the people because they don't even relate with whatever it stands for. So also with most states and their names. People are more relatable with what they know and have attachment to. For instance, it's easier to identify myself as Igbo than Abian because the name Abia means nothing to me. Sometimes I wonder why we still bear colonial nomenclatures like Africa, Nigeria etc. How on earth is Imo state government house called Douglas house till this day? |

Normally Uganda, Nigeria and every other African should be one country |
