don4real18: There are five (5) states in the east Which of these states will be the capital if eventually, Biafra is declared Each states will claim to be in pole position to be the capital stating they did more than the other to deserve it in their struggle The present governors will be cast aside except those secretly aiding the fight There will be internal fights and possible bloodsheds during power struggle The high rate of importation known to be done mostly by Ibo business men will reduce as well as profits. High duties charge will be placed on those of them who still want to do business in Nigeria It will be a while before foreign investors come to Biafra due to low commercial stance Etc..... Is Biafra worth the struggle... Think of the food they benefit from the north and other resources from other regions. Freedom looks sweet to the young but the elders know what is at stake u will be very disappointed because Biafrans are not like other people from the zoo. |

HOTARIO: Op, is this the Bill? The long title says "A bill to prohibit frivolous petitions" and the explanatory memorandum says to ensure that no one files a petition without a sworn affidavit.
I do not think this is a bill to kill social media. The essence of the sworn affidavit is to ensure that before anyone petitions against another person such petition must have a sworn affidavit verifying the facts in the petition. The effect is that if the petition is investigated and turns out it is frivolous, the marker has committed an offence. This is without prejudice to the offence of perjury the person can be prosecuted for false allegations.
If this is the true intentions of the bill, then social media has nothing to worry about. after the apc benefited from the social media, then they want to kill it. Face the truth, Nigeria is fast dying |

Tell them to stop while it is time. It will be sad to start hearing "Human Rights" nonsense when the bodies start piling up.
Make haste while you still have the time. yes we see how the bodies of Nigerian soldiers are piling up with the relentless effort of Boko Haram, yet the rubbish president is busy gallivanting round the globe while the country is fast dying. Biafrans have not gone violent yet, when they do, more bodies of soldiers will litter the streets. |

Buhari is really desperate to hang Dasuki. We understand his quest and thirst for vendetta. What he should not forget is that what goes round will surely come round. If Dasuki is found guilty, he should be made to face the law. But until then we are watching Nigeria slide into her grave under the leadership of the certificateless general. |

Ambjosh: Let's be sincere here with ourselves, in the 16 years of PDP government in Nigeria the only position Igbos did not hold was just the presidency. We have had about five senate presidents, Deputy senate president, Deputy Speaker, the Army Chief, Immigration Boss, the Prison Boss, Central Bank Governor, Ministers in key ministries of power, finance, education, petroleum and health etc. What has Igboland got to show for these positions other than installation of one Chieftaincy title or the other? Let me ask again; as much as the majority of our complaints are genuine, are we not part of our problems? when the real revolution starts, these criminals from the SE will be the first victims. |

Politics › Re: 10 Types Of People Who Agitates For Biafra by unclejb2(m): 5:04pm On Dec 03, 2015 |
egift: From all the discussions, protests and chest beating, I have observed some group of persons who have been agitating for the division of Nigeria and the creation of a caveland in the South East Regions of Nigeria.
Here are my top ten categories of persons involved in this agitations: 1. Those That Never Witnessed The Last Civil War Majority of those protesting now never had the opportunity of living through the 3yrs of the Nigeria-Biafra Civil War. They have no firsthand experience of the hunger, killings, destruction, bombings, rapes, sickness, agony, pains, murder, fear, etc. These category of mostly youths have not tasted peace and war. The people instigating this agitations finds this group easy prey to hoodwink.
2. PDP supporters who cannot get pass the defeat of Jonathan Ever since the PDP lost the Presidency, the agitation for biafra has taken full swing. The fact is that many of their supporters never imagined that it will be possible defeat a sitting Nigerian President (not when he is backed by the PDP). Therefore the loss was unexpected. Some who can not get pass the defeat, have resorted to taking a jab at President Buhari and supporting anything that will undermining the nation under the leadership of Buhari.
3. Elders who have failed in life and want to use the Agitation to become relevance I have met old men who have failed in every aspect of life, their only show of strength is exaggerated tales of bravery in the Civil War. This tales have also fueled many youths who are gullible enough to fall for them to believe that just by the wave of the hand, the US, UN and EU will join forces and destroy Nigeria and give them their Caveland. And that killing few innocent Nigerians will give them a Republic.
4. Those who brag with Other People's achievements These set of agitators have no single achievement to their name, but they will come online and brag about Biafrans who are playing in to leagues, winning awards and being successful. They will use the names of such successful persons to insult others and even fight over nothing. For these ones, getting Biafra will be achieved through bragging and bad-mouthing others people.
5. The Emperor-Wannabes People like Nnamdi Kanu, BecomeRich (Musiwa), Uwazurike, Dokubo and their supporters are part of the agitation for Biafra with the primary objective of becoming Emperors that will rule over the people.
6. Those Hell Bent on Undermining the current administration These category agitators for biafra have the misconstrued belief that some people in the North used the destruction from Boko Haram miscreants to undermine the tenure of former President Jonathan, therefore it is a payback time. They are in full support of anything, anyhow that undermines the administration of President Buhari (and if the agitation for Biafra will do, then fine by them).
7. The Brain Washed And Misinformed Fellows As an Igbo man who strongly believe in a One, United, Stronger Nigeria – I have met many people who present to me some very ridiculous claims on how close they are with having Biafra with USA, Britain, EU, Chinese and Russians battled-ready to support the IPOB. Not long ago (last year), someone told me that Nigeria is expired and UN have already signed off and it is just a matter of days. Last spent over 3 minutes laugh when a friend told me that Jonathan is now the Leader of all the Presidents in Africa and that is why he will go to “every” election that is conduct in Africa till he retires. I had a really good laugh.
8. The Jobless Ones Everywhere in the world, unemployment is a very serious problem. It is all around us in Nigeria too. Many jobless fellows and under-employed youth in the East have found refuge as agitators to vent their frustrations.
9. The Fearful Fellows This reluctant supporters, sponsors and financiers of the agitation, fear that speaking against this misguided quest will bring backlash on them, their families and businesses. Most times they keep silent and if pushed, they offer their support to avoid stories that touches the heart. These ones don't want to be called Sabo, Efulefu, etc. It reminds me a documentary I watched about successful immigrants in the Europe and America who send money home to terror groups to avoid engendering their family members back home.
10. The Anarchists These group of agitators just love anarchy. These trouble makers don’t even need any motivation before they jump in – arguing, fighting and destroying things as if their lives depend on it.

cktheluckyman: Peace is desirable for all but do not tell me that the odds are against the igbos!! Any killings across the north and the east would most likely result in a civil war that would see the breakup of the country and the north losing the oil allocations that comes to them!! There are millions of Hausas especially in Onitsha,Portharcourt,Asaba,Ugwoba etc!! Every body would suffer should this situation further escalate. If it gets out of hand, the Nigerian economy and government would completely collapse!!
Do not make the mistake of thinking reprisals would be restricted to the SE alone!! No one has a monopoly over violence.Burning of the mosque is condemnable but that is not enough to warrant the killings of igbos in the north.Igbos have been killed and their properties destroyed several times in the north and no one is talking about it.The Hausas should stop thinking they have a monopoly over violenece and hence everyone should be scared of them.
Enough is enough! The country is charged up right now and anyone who makes the mistake of starting up sectarian killings anywhere would set this country on fire. u should have ignored that fool |

Tunchi101: Good Day Mr President. I really do hope you get to see this. Sir, It's only a matter of time before your very own people start turning against you if the direction in which this country is heading to is not changed. I personally happen to be a very big fan but sir, my believe in you is dwindling by the day.
Sir, I need not remind you that you are the 'Commander In Chief. Please sir there is nothing you can't do if you really wanted to. I actually decided to write this to you after I bought PMS this morning for 300 naira per litre. After my findings,I learnt that you needed the approval of the house to acquire a certain amount of money to settle things (sir please don't forget that people are in hardship while you wait for some formalities)
Personally,i think the multiplicity in our governing system is way too much. Before a single policy can be approved it takes way too much time. I don't need to remind you about the rate at which terrorism in this country is rising to. In any other country I know, they don't need 105 military men to get missing before they declare it an art of war; talk less of people loosing their lives on a daily basis like it's a normal thing.
Sir,from my experience as a Political Science and International Relations student, I've come up with a theory that necessarily doesn't involve the help of the western power to put an end to the current terrorism ravaging this nation.
From my perspective what I suggest is a group of intellectual mastermind people who can think strategically (Think tank) . Sir I can assure you there are Youths in this country capable of that. Put up a prize money or something that anyone who can suggest a way of bringing insurgence to the bearest minimum would be rewarded. It doesn't have to involve old people. I understand experience matters too but this country is 'Long Overdue For New Ways In Doing Things
Other things I would like to suggest and would be of great help if practised with total steadfastness are i Austerity Measures ii Autarchy iii A Reduction In The Proliferation Of Our Governing System Just to mention a few
Sir, you promised Change. The question on people's mind now is that change in what direction exactly?
THE PEOPLE OF NIGERIA ARE LIVING IN FEAR
God Bless The Federal Republic Of Nigeria .
Written by Shodeinde Gbolahan Babatunde. Take heart bro.... u were among those scammed into voting Buhari. I only have past governments to blame for the failed state called Nigeria. |
