PoliticsRe: Now Who's Ineffectual? by UnclePati: 5:31am On Oct 05, 2016
Bros abeg park well.

Buhari is the ineffectual inefficient ineffective foolish Buffon. Who ran the economy down into recession doubled inflation rate, destroyed the Naira value, created unemployment. Increased crime and suicide rate, disrespect for rule of law, created inconclusive elections and rigging commission. Lopesided Appointment's, back door employments into civil service, appointment of all his family members and friends to head key govt positions. Chased away over 400 foreign firms with his stupid fx policy, fighting corruption one sided alone. Using the Military DSS EFCC and police to intimidate harass and arrest any critic. Running a Nation without an economic team and grossly incompetent Ministers.
Shooting and killings of in armed protesters. And refusal to arrest and investigate looters in his cabinet.

His indeed a grossly incompetent Buffon.

QuotaSystem:
The one who wickedly looted the proceeds of the oil price boom instead on investing it in exploiting our steel/solid minerals/agricultural sectors and developing our export capacity as a way of diversifying the economy away from oil.

The ineffectual buffoon from Otueke failed to do this which is a key reason why we are suffering from the effects of his ineffectuality today.

If you have issues with the name 'Ineffectual', direct your frustration towards The Economist International who gave him the name.

Hmmmmm.
Definitely a Coward.

His a commisioned officer. a captain. He commands troops. He gives instruction and directions to his boys.

His supposed to be d last man to die in battle after all his boys have been killed. But none was reported killed only this Coward who probably tried to run away and abandon his boys

Pls tell me how many commissioned officers of his rank and above have ever been reported killed in Battle. Especially Igbo / south south officers or North......not korofos foot soldiers.

RIP...sha.

PoliticsRe: My Experience With FRSC and Police Officers by UnclePati: 6:56am On Sep 25, 2016
FRSC have no specific or special payment/collections website/platform.

All federal govt agencies collections have been harmonized under the REMITA collection platform.

You can access Www.remita.com on line, select FRSC enter your details to generate RRR pin and even make payment instantly using ur ATM card. Or with the pin u can walk into any commercial bank and make payment.

REMITA is not restricted to those two banks they referred you to.

Its obvious FRSC and police have special arrangement with that particular bank/branch staffs to help frustrate your payment so you come back to them and give them cash in their office.

Its a new way of short changing the government.

The system is still very corrupt.
The civil service is messed up.

Since the announcement by IPOB calling on all Igbos to embark on a sit at home protest on 23rd September, 2016, I took it upon myself to go round the city of Abuja to assess the level of compliance.

To my greatest dismay, people of Igbo extraction have all poured into the streets going about their businesses as though the order was not given. I was also opportuned to see some Igbo shop owners having their shops opened for the days business.

What is the level of compliance in your area?

3000 dock workers retrenched as 20 shipping companies shut operations
Vanguard News / Ikenna / 5 hours ago

By Godwin Oritse & Godfrey Bivbere
LAGOS—MARITIME Workers Union of Nigeria, MWUN, yesterday, said no fewer than 20 shipping companies, had shut operations in Nigeria due to unfavourable government’ policies, leading to the retrenchment of over 3000 workers in the last one year.

At a briefing, President-General of the union, Mr. Anthony Emmanuel Nted, among other things, lamented that the jobs of over 2000 workers were also on the line and called on President Muhammadu Buhari to intervene to save the sector from imminent collapse.

Nted who declined to name the affected shipping companies, said they were verifiable in the ports, however warned that many more shipping companies were on the verge of folding up and were only doing skeletal services at the moment.

Continuing, he said:” Today, we lament the action of the management of Nigeria Ports Authority, NPA, in also planning to sack a section of the Dockworkers, especially the Tally Clerks and Onboard Security men in spite of their importance and relevance in the Port operations, as it affects the reoccurring scourge of tonnage under declaration and its negative impact on the nation’s economy.

“The leakage of revenue through under declaration of tonnage should be seriously tackled. In this regard, we reiterate that Tally Clerks and Onboard Security men should be allowed to continue the critical job of uncovering and discouraging under tonnage which is often done with the unholy collaboration of NPA, shipping companies, agents and terminal operators. The Tally Clerks and onboard security men are capable of preventing these economic crimes as they were doing through their independent and physical tallying process. “Over 2000 workers(Tally clerks and onboard security men) are involved. Their reinstatement will go a long way in reducing the number of unemployed Nigerians, and also reducing the misery of their families.”

The union demanded among others that “All access roads to the ports as a matter of urgency, should be expanded and rehabilitated to handle cargo traffic in the ports. The traditional rail operations in our seaports should be restored to reduce the pressure on our highways and daily fatal accidents and deaths from containers. Waterways should be developed for delivery of laden containers and heavy equipment through our coastal waters into the hinterland. The tank-farms which are now dangerously located close to the ports, residential areas and along the expressways and access roads close to the ports should be relocated far away from the seaports to stave-off the perennial gridlocks on the roads.

“The volume of vehicles imported into Nigeria through Nigerian ports has collapsed to an all-time low, with consequent loss of thousands of jobs in the maritime sector. The new duty regime for vehicles introduced since 2004 and application of the new rate of exchange rate for duty calculations have made the importation of cars and trucks into Nigeria far too expensive. In the last two years, the number of vehicles arriving Nigeria has shrunk by almost two thirds, while the volume of cars smuggled through the Cotonou Border has continued to rise unabated. It is therefore necessary that the Federal Government reviews its stance on the Automative policy so as not to inflict any more suffering on the workers who are already having a hard time with price increases every day.

“The Federal Government should look at making the importation of cars and trucks more competitive to enable the economy to grow. A significant reduction in the duties applicable on cars and trucks will go a long way in alleviating the challenges of our people and spur economic activities. “Government should as a matter of urgency adopt policies towards resuscitating the export of agricultural produces and mineral resources that were hitherto the main stay of the Nigerian economy before the discovery of oil. This will no doubt create jobs in our seaports and increase revenue for the government.”

PoliticsRe: The Economy Is Looking Up : Well Done PMB by UnclePati: 5:11am On Aug 19, 2016
Op...buhari increased all tax rate across board
He also increased PAYEE.....

Many companies have to reduce workers salaries in other to meet up with new government tax rate increase.

Import duty rate was increased recently. And importer and clearing agents voiced it out.

They are increasing taxes to raise funds to run the govt since very little is coming from crude oil sales.

Increase in taxes leads to lower salaries for employees and increase in prices of goods and services.

Everytin go cost for market.

What Mess did GEJ leave Nigeria in

APC only tells u there is a mess whereas there is no mess. They feed your brain with lies and u foolishly believe them.

The economy was stronger and better under GEJ.
Our currency was not this worth less
Food was cheap and the poor could eat.
Foreign investors flooded Nigeria and many Jobs were created
There was freedom of information and freedom of speech.
There was rule of law and court order was obeyed.
Agriculture flourished.
Automobile industry resurrected
Railway was reborn
Insecurity was only in the North east...
Small business were encouraged and big businesses like dangote expanded
PH and calabar sea port were upgraded and opened.
Airports Nation wide were upgraded and re equiped
New airlines were licensed to operate local and international flights.
There was diversification and our Exports grew...
No one starved to death in idp camps..Jonathan fed them all very well.

Nigerians were happier under GEJ and life expectancy was longer,

GEJ's only crime is dat arms fund was used to fund Elections and some of his trusted friends loothed under his nose.....

Despite he inhirited only $3b He saved $30b and handed over to buhari.

So what mess did he put Nigeria in?

APC and Buhari put us in today's mess not GEJ

mbhs139:
So...? If he had managed this industry country well like someone who has brain, we wouldn't have been in this present mess. For all of you castigating this administration for our present woes, don't forget that GEJ's finance minister, NOI, has been asking us all the while to brace up for harder times before now. So, .... what are we talking about here? Anyway, that's not to say PMB too has not been faulting.

Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, former minister of finance, on Thursday said the zero political will to save under former President Goodluck Jonathan is responsible for the challenges the country is facing.

Okonjo-Iweala added that Nigeria was able to save $22 billion under former President Olusegun Obasanjo, which saved the country in 2008, when there was global economic meltdown.

“We saved $22 billion because the political will to do it was there. And when the 2008 /2009 crisis came, we were able to draw on those savings precisely to issue about a 5 percent of GDP fiscal stimulus to the economy and we never had to come to the bank or the fund.

“This time around and this is the key now, you need not only need to have the instrument but you also need the political will. In my second time as a finance minister, from 2011 to 2015, we had the instrument, we had the means, we had done it before, but zero political will.

“So we were not able to save when we should have. That is why you find that Nigeria is now in the situation it is in. Along with so many other countries”
