At what stage does the work of an architect ends in build? even if he is the one supervising all the work been done by the artisans.

I just found this thread. Thanks guys for starting it, just what I needed. I and my family will be relocating to Ibadan very soon. By God's grace, my husband got a job along tobacco road IB. Please I will need good accommodation (security, electricity, neat, tiled, running water and fenced)not too expensive and not too far from this tobacco road because we don't have a car yet. Please someone should recommend good schools not too expensive for my kids(nur & primary) and also I have a BSc in psychology but do not have a job. Can I get a job even if it is teaching and business to add to it. Thank you guys.

Please don't. I'm never a fan of flat roof for residential buildings. The same way I'm not a fan of PVC ceilings.

Not advisable at all. Especially in this part of the world. The way heat will be entering the building during the day will be too massive, and when the building discharges it at night, it won't be bearable for the inhabitants.

Maybe ur engineer is a big man.
There's something I have realised about life,
Mr A can do a job for #50k and Mr B will do same for #150k.
If your project is a kobo kobo one, pls run oooooo.

These tiles at my uncle's place are almost 10 years old. The white lines in-between them ain't cool with us the younger Gens, but him & older Gens no send. He said we can do what we want tho.

So experienced gentle men, can anything be done to make those white lines become black? (Replacing the tiles ain't an option)

Well, what I'm thinking is probably gonna be a big deal.
If the white cement can be scrapped off, it would be good, then the cement used for construction can be mixed with water and applied instead. The colour will blend with that of the tile.
