Is it possible to construct lintel over door amd window openings without adding reinforcement bars? Just concrete.

The major reason for using reinforcement in openings is to support the load coming on it.
So as to withstand tensile strain and stress.
There are some doors that don't require such, they are taller ones.
If no load is required after the opening, you can improvise.

Good you said your own school of thought. When it comes to building things can change and every contractor should highlight the possible change in their contract, sadly most artisans have not gotten this level of education and it's rightly so, we don't have that environment.

I am doing a project, and the contractors mentioned that expected completion date will be April, however situations may change, and rightfully in January came the snows, then the cold weather were brick works cannot be done. work was delayed significantly. Then prices varied but I was shown proof, and reasonably made adjustments based on the slight change.

Contractors should be sincere, and clients should also have a human face when making demands from artisans, because things are mighty tough at the minute for both parties, especially in Nigeria.

In London I can tell you I will make it in 2hrs and keep to that time, but in Nigeria that may not be possible, even if your intention was to keep to time. If it's not the police, it may be armed robbers on the road, or some crazy traffic.

I understand you might be a startup but please, get a more convincing email. It doesn't really cost much to get a domain. While an email address doesn't necessarily match skills, it definitely indicates seriousness/dedication. And the absence of one is the first sign someone isn't registered. Now, only a very few people in diaspora would want to do such heavy projects with such a person. I could be wrong but being a 'diasporan' myself, I think I have a fair understanding of how skeptical we could be with such things.

Structural part of a building is quintessential, especially when the build is more than a floor.
Materials for building construction are vital.

It was an unwise decision from hslbroker to have awarded the contract to you under any guise. He should have returned the money Tru any means to focus mind.
And to all artisan, when you get a job to execute a project, do it within the agreed time frame, once the price change, pls endeavor to return money to the owner.
The average mindset of a Nigerian is this, we will be happy if you come back to me and say, oga price don change for market, na your 100k be this but I fit do am if you go add 30k..This alone is INTEGRITY considering the environment we found ourselves.

"Time frame"
This is the soul of every contract.
If it is a contractor's fault to execute a project within the agreed time frame, he may be penalised, now if there is a hike in prices of materials outside the time frame, he bears the responsibility.

To all artisans out there.
Time is as important to your client as the charges is as important to you (artisan).
If an artisan delays a job and it extends beyond the agreed time, such artisan must be held responsible even for the hike in prices of material.
This is coming from my own sch of thought.
