perfectbuy, are you back in the country now? |
@ kay jasper, I think that's hpw this car was made with the fuel tank on the passenger's side. Seen a few of them and they were all on the passenger's side. Please verify. I stand to be corrected/enlightened. Best Regards. |
perfectbuy, do you still have the automatic model of this 2000 Toyota Yaris hatchback available? |
@ EMSA, his post read: "Someone advised me to change the fan of my 2004 Kia Rio Rs in front of the radiator for a bigger one for better temperature regulation and to prevent overheating. anybody in the house knows if this is true?" He did not state that the car over-heated at any point in time. He just made any enquiry. Happy Sales(s)! |

@ ofegge73, Please tell us the price of a brand new Hyundai Elantra (It's open knowledge that it costs N2.7million ONLY)! Nice, clean and reliable 2008 car with very low mileage (32,000km). If you no know about something, just WAKA pass! All the buyer needs to do after physical inspection is to scan the car (electronically) to ascertain its in perfect condition, then proceed with payment. Happy sale(s) jo! |
Siena, what do you think about the Audi: maintenance, fuel economy, reliability et al? |
It's not just a kia thing! We've got a couple of 2004/2005 Toyota Corollas in my office without airbags too (1.3 litre engines that wobble at 120km/h). The Kia Rios and Picantos (sold brand new in Nigeria) do not come with airbags! However, as a consumer, there are several factors you consider: 1. Budget 2. Convenience of installment payment plans (available for new cars) 3. Peace of mind (from breakdowns/ mechanics) , not seen any of these Kias broken down before (no recalls too). 4. Satisfaction (this is relative, while one likes a v8 engine to move about town, someone else is satisfied with a 1.4 litre engine for the same purpose). 5. Choice: some just prefer a new car to tokunbo. Which ever body is in charge of standards should really look into basic safety standards like airbags. Since that's the yardstick for the developed countries who produce such cars {Toyotas (Yaris and Corolla), Kia (Rio and Picanto), Hyundai (i10 only), Geely etc}. I have never seen a brand new Honda or Nissan without airbags in Nigeria, though. I think these poor standards cut across every strata of the economy: food, drugs, generators, cars, electronics, computers etc. The REGULATORY bodies in charge should WAKE up and be EFFECTIVE in this regard. NB. These are my personal opinions , maybe right, maybe wrong! |
I think those who decide matches before they are played will have a rethink, henceforth. The match at Nou Camp will be more interesting as Gallas will be back and Song can now play his natural role in our midfield. However, I don't think we will miss Fabregas that much because Nasri will play better in Fabregas' wing (in Fabregas' absence) >>> remember what he did in our 5-0 win over Porto? Big father, i dey hail o! Up ARSENAL!!! |
@ It means the home work is done so RELAX! |
Unless a miracle happens, I don't see United going through this Bayern Munich team >>> with Rooney injured! Hope they can put their acts together against Chelsea! |
@ there you go comparing UEFA with EPL now! Who is the olodo here? In football, expect the unexpected sometimes! NB. There is no known defender that held back opponents 100% of the time. Sometimes they get dribbled, it's the number of times they lose balls that makes the difference. Even the great Maldini lost balls and got dribbled. Clichy (now fully recuperated) and Vermalaen (one of the best full backs in the EPL (and Europe too!) with over 7 goals to his credit this term) have done well and will continue to do well. Gallas and Sagna/Eboue too! Na Puyol (wen be like native doctor) and Pique wan hold Arshavin, Nasri, Fabregas, Walcott and Bendtner? Till tomorrow jare! |
Culled from A rematch of the final of 2006 has been dubbed as Barcelona versus Barcelona lite. Both sides love to keep the ball, so something has to give in the opener at the Emirates. Below are five reasons why the Blaugrana should nick it. Just, 1) Target Sol Campbell Leo Messi had just celebrated his 11th birthday and was watching the TV when Sol Campbell nodded in his controversial disallowed goal against Argentina in World Cup 1998. While the former England defender's renaissance has been lauded as 'unbelievable' by Arsene Wenger he is a potential weak link in the Gunners defence having made crucial mistakes against Porto in the Champions League and Stoke City in the FA Cup. Expect Pep Guardiola to deploy Messi in Campbell's vicinity and the little genius to wreak havoc. What happens if Gallas plays? Did you see the post right before yours? 2) Zlatan's Revenge For most of the big Swede's European career he has been labelled a big game bottler. He was widely ridiculed, particularly by the English media, for going AWOL in Inter's defeat against Manchester United last year. While it has been suggested his Scandinavian compatriot Nicklas Bendtner is the more effective player - yeah right - Ibrahimovic has scored in his last three games for Barca and was bought specifically for games like this one when a more direct approach may be required against a slick passing outfit like Arsenal. Is this not just a mere hypothesis? Several instances where this never worked!!! Inter/Chelsea, where was Didier Drogba? 3) Win The Midfield Battle Few sides can compete with Barcelona for possession, but the Gunners are one of them. The two sides rank first and second in the ball-hogging stakes with Arsenal having an average of 35 minutes per game to Barcelona's incredible 48 minutes. Beautiful they may be, but the holders are more than capable of dishing it out and will have been fully briefed on Arsenal's struggles against physically imposing sides like Everton and Chelsea. Midfield enforcers Yaya Toure and Seydou Kieta will carry out the task with relish, forcing Cesc Fabregas - if fit - to curb his natural attacking instincts in order to keep a close eye on his old youth team-mate Messi. What happened to the irrepressible Alex Song? Did he skip your mind? 4) Keep Andrey Arshavin Quiet Eyebrows were raised when Arsene Wenger splashed the cash to bring in the Russian a year ago but he has repaid that faith by providing the most assists in an Arsenal side who have also had the greatest number of shots on target in the competition. Both Samir Nasri and Arshavin like to cut inside so if Barcelona outnumber Arsenal in midfield it will stifle their creativity, forcing them to rely on Nicklas Bendtner to deliver the goods. Stop Arshavin and there's a fairly good chance you stop Arsenal too. If wishes were horses >>> and no one will stop Messi? 5) Give The Ball To Leo Messi It sounds obvious, but given his incredible recent form where he is producing miracles almost every game the Argentinian maestro is making even the best of opponents look silly. At his greatest, he is completely unplayable and lest we forget he reserves his finest form for the big occasions, such as last year's Champions League final. What about Vermalaen/Clichy? Will they just watch Messi doing his shooting practice on Almunia? Well, I no blame you na the place you copy your post from I blame. Olodo! ![]() Your other post: See wetin i talk ? That content wey dey ya brain , na sugarless ZOBO ! Lol, Now I see you can't even comprehend simple analogies! This na Uefa we dey talk o ! So what if na UEFA! Aren't there always more English teams from the Q/Final stage? Doesn't that tell you they are the best league in the world? Why you go dey use the track record of EPL dey comphere UEFA ? Why not! Haba, my 1yr old pikin nor fit do that kain comparison . No allow that boy inherit your olodo brain from you o! Oya lie down make i drive CATERPILLAR on top ya head. you dey work for wazobia fm? na dem dey pour people water o! Just having fun o! What I simply meant that at certain times, seeded teams fall prey to non-seeded teams. Football no be history or Mathematics. Let's fold our hands and watch good football tomorrow! |
@ It's not the size of the brain that matters, it's the content! lol Well, if the results of competitions are judged by records, why play the match? A lot of records have been broken lately and more will be, subsequently! Who would have though Everton would beat Man U, Chelsea and Man City? Who would have thought Birmingham would not lose to any of the top four teams? None of them beat Birmingham at home! @ Ajanlekoko, that Man U and Chelsea beat Arsenal doesn't mean every team that beat them would beat Arsenal, that's not football! No be Everton when Arsenal spank naim beat Man U and Chelsea? 2 days to go! |
Analyse your posts and give a verdict on your knowledge of football. |
@ big father, no comments till 31st March 2010. |
@ big father, how many times did Diego Maradona waltz past 6 defenders in his entire career? ONCE! does that make him a fluke? ![]() Both teams have good quality match winners anyday, so let's not judge. Else an encore of Real Madrid/Lyon! |
Wait o! e be like say Na 11 Messi's Barca get? Se na only him go dey the pitch and Arshavin, Bendtner, Eduardo, Rosicky, Nasri, Walcott, Fabregas, Eboue, Diabi, etc go just stand for the middle of the pitch and watch Barca attack without attacking? Abi na Song, Denilson, Clichy, Sagna, Vermaelen, Silvestre/Gallas/Campbell go dey frozen for defense to allow messi, dey "mess" Almunia up. Or Almunia go just pose for middle of goal dey do photo shoot while Messi go dey do shooting practice for Arsenal goal? Don't you think the young lads want a famous win? The only thing that will win both matches is STRATEGY! Wenger doesn't lack that as shown in the 2-0 win over Westham (with 10 men) yesterday! Warning: Never underate your opponents >>> complacency could be extremely costly! |
WAY BETTER >>> MORE POWERFUL, BETTER FEATURES. TEANA SHOULD BE, AT LEAST, IN THE SAME CLASS WITH THE AVALON. BUT THEN, WE ALSO HAVE THE MAXIMA COMPETING WITH THE AVALON. NO BASIS FOR COMPARISON! |
@ Marlbron, great stuff from you there! But names don't win matches anymore, strategy does! Why else will Real Madrid (who spent over $200m) with players like Ronaldo, Kaka, Benzema et all crash out of the champions' league so early? Strategy will speak. I don't think Gallas will be too much of an issue. Did you see how song easily filled Vermalen's shoes a few hours ago (against Westham)? |
@ zero2, if you call Arsenal photocopy, fine by me. Time will tell! 10 days away. Hope you watched the strength of character in the team when the 10-man Arsenal rose to the occasion against West Ham this evening. Ain't no stopping us now , we are in the groove! ARSENAL means business!!! Buyaka! Buyaka!! Buyaka!!! |
Blatant robbery! How could Eto'o who won everything last term be second best to Drogba who won nothing? GLO/CAF has demonstrated their gross ineptitude & insincerity in giving out the awards. There's surely something going on that we don't seem to comprehend! Are there other yardsticks for crowning the best African footballer of the year? |
Big man, if you look at the first line you will see "roughly" emboldened. We are just highlighting their very rapid growth rate in a few years! Resale value will also improve when a lot of people have tested its durability and efficiency. Machine na machine! Enjoy jare! |
@ Fhemmy, does this mean the Accord, camry and Sonata are roughly the same price now? Now who now said the Hyundais are cheap(er) cars? I am loving the firece competition in the global auto industry, no one cars about names anymore! It's either you make beautiful, fuel-efficient/eco-friendly, durable/reliable cars or you just close shop! Every auto maker strives to out-do the other! Every auto maker has to brace up to COST, APPEAL, DURABILITY & ECO-FRIENDLINESS (FUEL ECONOMY) because that's what most of the consumers crave! Even luxury auto makers are striving to make low-end models to compete with the economy genre. E no easy e! |
@ Fhemmy, Oh, so it's just 4 million naira? What is a 2010 Toyota Camry or 2010 Honda Accord going for now? That must be the 2011 Hyundai Tucson in the background of your first picture. Check out the 2011 Kia Sportage I just attached!
