dukeo: How do you power them separately It's easy. Unplug the connecting cable of the IDU from the battery bank and the IDU itself to isolate it, then plug in the other buttery bank to the power port of the IDU and turn on. |

Rokynwastar: Yeah, the network is fair. I have the x25 pro as well. Reason I got the ODU is because I moved to a new house and I only get 12/15Mbps max on the x25 which is a headache when streaming. Now I'm streaming matches on FHD with no buffers at all.
Getting the ODU is the best decision for anyone struggling with network reception on the x25 pro.
Funny thing is, I removed the sim card from the ODU, used it on the x25 pro and got 13Mbps max. The ODU is really great. To extend your battery up time you can use the battery from the X25pro to power the indoor unit only while the other battery powers the ODU. This has almost doubled my uptime. |

HeavenlyBang: Voltage X current = power
You're using a 24v system, so about 28v charging current X 15 = 420w.
The pump runs on roughly 230v AC, so 230 X ~6.5 = 1500w or so. I see. Thank you |

Rokynwastar: Mine was initially esim but the registration failed when the installer came to my place. I took it back to their office and had a physical sim configured during my 2nd registration.
I get 70/80mbps with it sitting in my room yet to be installed. Good. You probably stay in a location with enough signal strength. My signal strength is around -85db which is poor by normal standards but I still pull between 45-56Mbps. Used to do about 8-10 using X25pro at 4G+ |

mctfopt: The maximum current draw of a typical 1HP submersible pump is between 6A to 6.5A that is around 1500W. So a correct 5000w AVR should be able to power that How do you guys calculate this power draw? For instance charging my battery at 15 amps is pulling about 400w using generator. Please educate me. |

My battery did 4hrs and still had about 2 bars left.
Also found out the 5v to 12v dc cable won't work with the battery bank as it's pin is bigger.
Using my X25 pro's battery bank to power indoor unit only. Hopefully this will greatly improve the follow come battery now powering the outdoor unit. |

MorataFC: Thank you for your response. However, my registration went smoothly until the final stage, where my NIN was rejected. The system claimed I’ve already used up the four Airtel slots linked to my NIN, and that I would need to provide another person’s NIN to proceed. I’m not sure what else to do at this point. If you have an Airtel sim, there's a code to dial to list the numbers linked to your NIN. From there you can unlink any numbers you wish to. *996# |

ZLT X17m PRO Maybe to save cost. No much specs on this one and the web interface is basic. The most important thing is that it works and very well too. |

I'm getting up to 23Mbps upload. Interesting.
I hope this is the end to Airtel's bad network issue sha. Let's watch and see.

Hopez456: And i am currently thinking of dumping it and go for the new ones because network is unstable using the ups alone with it. It's practically useless for me without electricity.
I have tried 3 different ups, the one of the 5g routers still, the batteries can't power it to get network.
Meanwhile my neighbour doesn't experience this problem Interesting... |

williams85: Now I understand, But won't it be an issue connecting a power bank to a power bank. Hope you understand what I mean? No it won't. It's just a dc power supply. |
Phones › Re: Airtel Unlimited Data Thread! Best Data Plan In 2024!! by Unfaized: 3:55pm On Oct 16, 2025 |
williams85: I don't think that would work, see how the ups is.. It will work. The battery has 2 12v ports. One for input (from power), then the other for Output (To router). So you plug your dc converter cable, 5v USB side to ur powerbank, and then the 12v side to the battery bank and it should come on. I checked to confirm the ports at the Airtel Office yesterday. |

dazzy4real: So yesterday i paid for my ODU and was shown my device, i even connected to it because the guy wanted to brag about the speed of the ODU after I complained to him about the poor network of the 5G router. But unfortunately i got connected and the speed was showing 200kbps during speed test. The guy felt disappointed and started putting calls only to find out they had a network downtime that moment. I left the office without seeing the speed in mbps. I just pray i don't have the same experience with this ODU , i have really suffered with their 5G router. I'm supposed to get my installer today. I'll be hoping he comes to install it ASAP. I got like 3-5mb at their office. But on 5G router I get above 20mbps during the day. |

dustmalik: Guys, I have bad news for heavy data users. After using 1TB of data, my speed has been capped at 2Mbps. I have restarted severally to see if it would change, but it's hard-capped.
The device was installed on the 30th September, the last day of September. If you look at the screenshot below, you will see that I have used 980GB this month. It's not including the data I used on the 30th September, which would have indicated the entire 1TB.
I had hoped that this would not happen. It's clear to me that this is not for me. I typically use up to 2TB per month on my Starlink. I'm 100% sticking to Starlink, nothing comes close to it in this country. If 1TB is a lot for you, then this is good for you. The speed was consistent throughout the period I used it until I hit the 1TB. I see. I use between 5-600gb monthly so I think this will be just fine for me. But I can't deal with poor network as in the case of the X25 pro. I just hope this can meet up with my needs without interruptions. |

akinremedy: i noticed the UPS that came with the Router isn't powerful enough to power the device. The network stays if connected to the grid unlike using the UPS alone. That's what i noticed Just imagine. How about plugging it via the battery of the X25pro. Will that make it stable if there's no grid? |

Obviouslyblunt: you would have gone ahead with that Starlink if you can. Airtel 50mbps after first subscription is 45k, Starlink 1000mbps monthly 57k . It's 25k. I checked using the new line. I just hope they send an installer my way today. Meanwhile I didn't get confirmation email from Airtel. How does this installer thing work sef? I'll wait for call or what? |

I was forced to purchase Starlink due to Airtel's terrible network after so many complaints going on for months. I was going to mount the Starlink when I heard about this ODU stuff so I decided to give it one last trial.
Went to their office yesterday, registered, paid and was connected immediately at their office to test. They said an installer will come to fix it for me. I hope this can finally fix this whole network thing and I won't have to use the Starlink. |

orimion: People of God. My current Starlink location is the Redemption camp, around Mowe. However I'm moving to Lagos soon, say around Ketu. Is there a possibility of continuing to use it without needing to change address? If not, will I be able to change the address seamlessly? Will I need to pay an activation fee? Move first and test in your new location. In most cases you won't have to change anything. |

I used Airtel for about 1yr & 6 months and every single month I am in Airtel's dm complaining of bad network. True story, I had to check the dm to confirm. They only sort out the issue for like 2wks and u're back to complaining. At 57k Starlink is a better deal for most people. |

mctfopt: Your generator frequency may likely be the culprit. You may need to replace the AVR of your gen. Or adjust the speed to see if you can get between 48Hz to 51Hz.
Most petrol generator produces terrible frequencies of about 40Hz or something like 70Hz. These type of frequency are often not compatible to battery charging. Hi. Thanks for your input. Fortunately this issue has been sorted. I lowered charging current to 15 amps and that was the sweet spot. |
