OmogeNG: Showing POF is not set in stone. It depends on the kind of visa and/or state that is sponsoring you.
Bellong POF is Proof of Funds. Do you have info as to which type of VISA requires POF to be shown during application process? or the POF is only needed at the point of entry (POE) Kindly assist. Thanks. |

bellong: What is POF? Proof of Fund - which is by showing bank statement, shares, pension fund etc that when summed, gives total amount of what is required for individual or family. an evidence to show that you have the total money required for settlement. |

Dear VO,
how do i write 'Abimbola-Ajayi' being the surname (hyphen in between names) in the box provided to input surname knowing well fully that the application does not accept special characters.
Secondly, where i was asked to provide maiden name in the surname box, i write 'Abimbola-Ajayi (Adeola)' where Adeola is the maiden name. the system didnt accept it.
Kindly advise the best way to write so as not to present wrong information.
Thank you. |

Dear VO,
The Ds 160 application is not allowing hyphenated names where name is to be filled. for instance, Adewole-Otun. But if I write Adewole Otun without the hyphen, it will accept it.
Adewole-Otun is what is inside my passport data page.
what do I do in this regards.
thank you. |

Thomby2k12: I'm sorry this is coming a bit late. I've been down for some days; just getting better. DOCUMENTS SUBMITTED MODE OF SUBMISSION: ONLINE SUBMITTED: FRIDAY 28TH AUGUST, 2015 BIOMETRIC: MON 31ST AUGUST, 2015 MEDICAL REQUEST: 21ST OCT 2015; MEDICALS COMPLETED: 26TH OCTOBER 2015; MEDICAL SUBMITTED BY IOM: 28TH OCT 2015; MEDICAL PASSED UPDATE: 28TH OCT 2015; PASSPORT REQUEST: 30TH OCT 2015; PASSPORT SUBMITTED: 2ND NOV 2015; APPROVAL MAIL: 4TH NOV 2015; TRV COLLECTED: 9TH NOV 2015; PROGRAM APPLIED FOR: MASTER OF EDUCATION (EDUCATIONAL ADMINISTRATION) SCHOOL: BRANDON UNIVERSITY, MANITOBA FIRST DEGREE: BSC (ED.) BIOLOGY
DOCUMENTS LOADS OF FASTING AND PRAYER; IN MY FIRST APPLICATION THAT WAS REFUSED, I USED THE ADMISSION LETTER FROM FACULTY OF EDUCTION(I did not wait for the Acceptance Letter from the Admissions Office because I received it very late. I think that was why PURPOSE OF VISIT was stated as one of the reasons for my denial. But in the second application, I submitted the ACCEPTANCE LETTER from the Admissions Office, which is more detailed than the one from the faculty of Education. IMM 1294E (APPLICATION FOR STUDY PERMIT) IMM 5645 (FAMILY INFORMATION)
Another thing that I worked seriously on was my SOP. IN THE FIRST APPLICATION, I overlooked a lot of things in my SOP, but in the 2nd application, I made sure I left no stone unturned. For example, I have an unused 3 month Tanzania visa on my passport; the passport expired in November, 2014. In my SOP, I explained why I did not travel to Tanzania before the visa expired. EMPLOYMENT LETTER LETTER OF CONFIRMATION PROMOTION LETTER LETTER OF INTRODUCTION FROM SPONSOR (MY EMPLOYER) LETTER OF SPONSORSHIP FROM SPONSOR (MY EMPLOYER) STUDY LEAVE APPROVAL LETTER COMPANY'S CAC DOCUMENTS ( I did not submit tax clearance though); COMPANY'S ARTICLES OF ASSOCIATION; COMPANY'S MEMORANDUM OF ASSOCIATION; COMPANY STATEMENT OF ACCOUNT ( 3 months with a closing balance of N57M) MY PERSONAL STATEMENT OF ACCOUNT ( 3 months with a closing balance of N563K; my closing balance for the first application was N513K). 3 MONTH PAYSLIP LANDED PROPERTY IN MY NAME WITH THE C OF O;
I did not use a co-sponsor in my 2nd application. Since my name appears in my aunt's company documents (an educational institution) as one of the directors, I only stated the company as part of my asset in my SOP. But in the first application, I used my my aunt as a co-sponsor.
MY AUNT'S COMPANY REGISTRATION DOCUMENTS; MY FIRST DEGREE TRANSCRIPTS; FIRST DEGREE CERTIFICATE; (WAEC CERTIFICATE NYSC CERTIFICATE NYSC CALL-UP LETTER; NYSC DEPLOYMENT LETTER TO PLACE OF PRIMARY ASSESSMENT; POLICE CHARATER CERTIFICATE BIRH CERTIFICATE ( From National Population Commission). PROOF OF MEDICAL ASSESSMENT FOR THE APPLICATION THAT WAS REFUSED. I need to send you an email. My wife is planning to apply to same course and same school. I would like to put us through in terms of document you submitted to the school and other things. |

rsavvy: After 15/years working a bachelors just seems too low seems she already even has a bachelors ...my view is a diploma of 2years preferably with a work term is much better angle One doesn't have to know the nitty gritty to run a business Thank you for your response. The issue is the position of the VO concerning the fact that she already has BSc in the intended course. What will likely be in the SOP to convince the VO? |

Hello my good people,
I have a friend who has BSc in Quantity Survey, and an MBA. She has over 15 years’ experience in banking. She has never used the BSc degree to work in quantity survey related job, so there is a knowledge gap. Right now she wants to set up a consulting company as a quantity surveyor. Because she has no knowledge on current operations in the field, she is considering doing another BSc degree in Quantity Survey in Canada to brush up. What are her chances of getting a student visa?
I understand she needs to prepare a SOP as part of visa requirement. What explanation will suffice in SOP and will sound convincing?
Thank you. |

Tosky234: Thanks so much for your response. Do i need to apply for the police report before the application or after. or there is a particular time that i need to apply for the police report.
Thanks The expiry of a police certificate is one year. Since you are applying for Express entry which also last for one year, i would advice you apply for it now. So that u can upload even for provincial nominee. |

Hello all,
A friend of mine who has moved out of her husband house with the children due to maltreatment approached me that she is interested in the Express Entry.
I have briefed her the process and what she needs to. She uses her own fathers name not the marital name and she has no divorce certificate. But can she apply as a single parent? If she can, what are the documents including that of the children to back this up.
I would appreciate your quick response. |

ejirostephen: Good day my very good people. Please I need an urgent clarification. I am already swimming in the pool but, sincerely i have been applying for pnp and job offer to boost e.e point. None of the 2 has yielded result up till now. On a second thought, I decided applying to a cost-less university in Canada and continue my e.e things once admitted. Unfortunately, all univ. require the gmats/gre for admission to my field. Now I am thinking of applying to a college for post-graduate diploma (PGD). Note, not ordinary college diploma. I already have an MBA in business field though. These are my questions;
1. Will one be able to secure canadian student visa easily going by the above as compared to a university? 2. Is it compulsory i make first semester remittance from nigeria before i get letter of acceptance? 3. Is there any difference between letter of acceptance and offer letter? If yes, which of them is a requirement at the embassy. 4. Lastly, the account balance expected by the embassy for a student visa, is it to contain * Your total tuition fee or * Tuition + other fees.
Would appreciate succinct responses. Kindly visit this thread- https://www.nairaland.com/2367106/travelling-canada-part-8/315#2367106.10100The thread is about those that wants to study in Canada. cheers! |

tlamp: Hello solomonwis and co,
I'm an FSWP2014 applicant and I've been asked to make ''Payment for Permanent Residence Fee for my spouse'' after I contacted AVO that I recently got married. My question: Apart from raising a bank draft, how else can this payment be made? Can I make the payment via the 'Pay your fees' option on the cic website? http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/fees/index.asp although for spouse or dependent addition, only Express Entry was stated there. OR is it possible at this stage to send a Fee Payment Form with my credit card details (IMM5620E)? What do you advise? Can someone please answer this. No one has being able to provide an answer. Thank you. |

Hello people,
I got info from my bank that CIC attempted my card twice yesterday (a minute interval) and couldnt go through. What i discovered was an error from my bank who placed hold on my account without informing me.
My bank has removed the hold and the account is free to be debited. In this case, will CIC attempt to debit again or should i call CIC and explain and that they should go ahead to debit my account.
please this is urgent.
Thank you |
