What is your proposed endeavor to start with. Data science, statistics and analytics cuts across almost every field you can think of, especially finance!. There’s a lot of analyzing and making data driven decisions in finance. Just look for a way to phrase your proposed endeavor and petition letter in a way that it makes your degrees and work experience align.

Hello Everyone,

I am a newbie. Just need clarification on the advanced degree for the EB2-NIW.

My question is that I have MSc Finance and BSc Statistics. My job duties in the last 10 years has been in data science field with current 5 years in government establishment as a data scientist. I am planning to go through route of Advanced Degree (MSc Finance). Does the MSc degree have to relate to:

1. My work experience? or
2. the proposed endeavour?

Thank you.

Oga Thomas; well to answer your question again, you will need to write English test, submit for evaluation, I think those are the two things you need to do.
IELTS. ..68,000.(if you ace your test once to get your desired point).
EA assessment. ... budget like 320,000 (fast-track) option.
Transcript, police clearance certificate,..... and all other things can nobody tell.
In totality, toy can budget between 400-500k;.

What about the visa fee that cost almost N1m depending on the number of family.

In addition to the ICAN qualification, does your friend have another degree that has been assessed by WES to be equivalent to a 3yr Canadian course? If yes, then he click on two or more certificates, diplomas, or degrees.

Yes...BSc Accounting.

Can he go ahead to accept the ITA and send all the necessary documentation.

Hello guys,

A friend of my got ITA in last round of invitations. He scored 459 and got ITA. Based on the information, he added ICAN and chose "Two or more certificates, diplomas, or degrees. One must be for a program of three or more years". On WES, ICAN is seen as 2 years of professional study.

Is this acceptable to CIC? Can he accept the ITA?

Thanks.

Yes definitely you must add it, as it shows them your complete educational history.
I do not think you'll be given a negative assessment since there is absolutely nothing wrong with getting a diploma first before proceeding to university. The most important thing is to meet all the requirements they have set.
You have no problems, just make sure your transcripts are complete and do whatever is required.
Also since it is your desire to be assessed as a Statistician, and you're assessed primarily on your first degree for the purpose of Skilled Migration, it will be to your advantage to submit your OND transcripts. You should ONLY add your advanced degree if it will aid your assessment as a Statistician, or if it meets any of their 'Statistician' requirements, if not you don't need it.
I wish you luck!

Thank you. I appreciate.

Ok good.
Have you checked to see if you meet the points requirement for the skilled migration program for Oz?
I'm assuming you want to go the visa subclass 189 route.

Yes i do. I am only a bit worried if Vetassess would give me a negative assessment based on my BSc degree.

Do u think i should add my OND Statistics to it for assessment?

Thank you.

Hello People,

Please, i have few questions to ask around Vetassess Assessment as i want to apply to be assessed for STATISTICIAN

I graduated in 2006 as BSc Statistics from University of Ibadan. My entry into the UI is through direct entry, meaning i joined at 200 level. Looking at this, it simply 3 years in UI. My question is, how will Vetassess assess me based on this. Will it be a 4 year degree or 3 year? or a negative assessment

I did my Masters in Finance in London, 2010. Will it be necessary to claim point on this since BSc/Msc is same point and also MSc Finance is not related to a statistician job role. Though, my statistician role was in Asset Management/finance company from 2006 till date (including NYSC)

If i want to claim point for BSc Statistics, do i need to put it there that i have MSc finance?

In assessing my experience, will the counting begin from BSc or it will begin from MSc (if i had to tell them that i have MSc)

How many periods of Pay Slip do i need to submit to Vetassess

Is there any other document aside payslip to show evidence of employment?

Do i need to notorize all my documents before sending to Vetassess

I would appreciate if anyone can help with Employment Reference letter so i can use it as a guide in preparing my own.

Thank you.

in assessing Accountants through CPA/CA, is IELTS general accepted? I can see on their website that they specifically stated it that they accept IELTS academic.

Kindly assist if someone can use IELTS general instead of the academic.

Good morning all.

Great news for everyone of us.

I would like to enquire what the process and the cost of getting undergraduate transcript from University of Ibadan. I have collected one before. That was a long time ago.

1. Can someone help on what the cost is?
2. Can i also use someone to collect the transcript on my behalf?
3. Since the transcript will be addressed to VETASSES, instead of asking the University to send it, can i collect it by hand and send to VETASSES by myself?

Thank you.

Can some please help with this.

Hello House;

A friend has at least 8 years work experience, but by seeing this assessment

"based on the evidence provided, at least one year/s of employment is assessed as highly relevant to the nominated occupation and completed at an appropriate skill level in the five years before the date of applying for this Skills Assessment. The employment above meets the minimum requirements for this occupation"

Does it mean that he can only claim one year work experience

Thanks

Good morning people,

I got this email from Victoria Govt.

Further to our previous correspondence requesting that you provide us with a skills assessment, we are still waiting to receive this information from you.

If we do not hear from you within one week, the Victorian Government nomination application file will be closed.

We look forward to your response.

Can i ask for extension being the fact that i have not started the process of VETASSES for skill assessment.

For how long can i ask extension for?

Thanks.
